The best way to make money out of catle is if you start your own butcher shop. U gona need 1-2 personnel. And a shop to sell the meat. You can also use the shop to sell goat meat and chicken meat. That 3 birds with 1 stone.
I am looking to go into chickens, goats, pigs and some cattle, I can't wait to start my own farm, you are such an inspiration Docter D, thank you for always giving us good info!
I prefer goat because it's milk is expensive and it's meat is in high demand especially when you are breeding the hybrid like boar, savannah, alpine, Kalahari red and few of our local goats. When you crossbreed them, they become stronger.Thank you,Doc.
Dr Daniel, good afternoon. I have tried my hands on chicken and goat farming. I think that goat farming needs a little patience and it has more profits.
Yes I totally agree cattle is not very profitable unless you have a very very big land, or have a very good pasture that can sustain the cattle without you having to give them feed. Additionally the cattle cost so much to buy in the first place and you would need so many to make good profit, and it would take at least a couple years for you to start to make money because they grow very slow. So unless you are rich already cattle is not very good for profit.
Your information is very good.. But i would like to add one thing, the basic thing to see what you can start is to see your space availability. If you dont have a grassland and you have to feed goats with feed or hay, its going to be extremely expensive. In this case, poultry would be the number 1 on thr list
nah doctor...i think you don't understand the business of goats and cattle...but its understandable because your passion is poultry....yes poultry is the best option to start with especially if you don't have enough land but if you have land...nothing can compete with cattle, the business of cattle have different products, its up to you which one deal with...you can sell 6-8 months heifers, you can sell steers, you can sell the bulls or allow people to hire...you can process the meat on your own, you can do dairy....all these are different products that needs you to be clear in the beginning with the type of breed you buy into the farm and also separate the breeding stock with the cows that you sell...the rule is you don't sell the breeding stock unless their productivity is going down
Thanks a lot Dr, I aslo think pigs are oky,but goats 🐐 and sheep 🐑 are the best, chicken 🐔 you must have ready market, but with cattle I think beef production is very profitable, thanks for the video Dr
Thanks Dr , I have just started watching your videos on farming. I have worked as a teacher for over a decade. Nothing good has come up. Earned peanuts so a second income is my next move.
I love your channel. I currently do farming but in a small scale lol. I grow cassava, melon, corn. I rear chickens and Turkey too. I want to add goats too. One of my goals is to have a farm as big as yours. Thanks for being an inspiration to me...
Thanks alot Dr Daniel for the advice A question please, I once heard that keeping goats and sheep together can bring lots of diseases , what's you take on it
Thanks for the inspiration,I love the chicken rearing already. It's so enjoyable to be around the birds daily and interesting to see them transform daily, will diversify with goats soon. Please make a video on debicking too
I think that I'm being inspired, although, during my school days, I love agriculture. Wrote it in SSCE with an A. Now this Goat and sheep farming is ticking in my brain.
Hi Dr Dan. I have raised Chickens, Pigs, Goats and One Steer for Family Eggs and Meats over my 73 years of life. Have bought livestock for meat. My grandparents raised their own meats and groceries. 💜💜💜 Probably could have done so more efficiently as far as business practices, but nothing compared to the Taste, Learning & Family Interaction. Fortunately we had other streams of Income. 🤟🏽 AuntieEllen 💕
I want to start my chickens here in Somalia, but we don't have chicken companies in Somalia so, which online source would you recommend me to buy from, please, Dr? Thanks
Thanks doctor Daniel for your video i am learning a lot . I have a question,i keep local chickens but they eat each other's feathers . What might be the problem.
if they find the feathers down and feed on them, that's not so unusual. but if they peck feathers out of their peers, that's a problem. Look at your protein and mineral content in the feed.
Goodfn blessing from the caribbean all your stock could make money you could add value to your stock by salt and smoke meat pigs could all so do well if you make the feed from local raw material that good thank my brother
