Dmitry and Vlad just have different styles. There's no "better" there really. There's a live version of this with Vlad which is really good too.

this is not Vlad, it's an old drummer, Kim is his last name, I believe.

Dmitriy is a session drummer, that's why. He just filled in until they could find a replacement for Eugene Mantulin, their former drummer who broke his spine. Eugene was a great drummer, an equal to Vlad, but tragedy struck. He has taken up the guitar since then. He plays in a wheelchair. Dmitry was never interested in touring or becoming a full fledged member of the band. He still does studio work for them, so it's not like they parted on bad terms or anything. He just wants to do his own thing and not someone else's thing.
