Wow that’s crazy how a lot of those structures are still the same as in the movie...thank u so much for taking time to show us this as a huge loyal chucky fan it actually means a lot to see that building from where aunt Becky fell out from lol
Fun fact: I get on and off the 43rd street stop everyday. I live like a block up king drive from that location. I love my city so much! Child’s play is my favorite Chicago horror movie, as well as Candyman. I can watch the original childs play over and over again! To me, in my opinion it’s the best one.
I didn't realize they filmed that there. I know my building was the permanent set for "Shameless" TV series as well as Batman and a few others. You should run up to Deerfield (Married With Children House) and Winnetka (Home Alone House) and North Chicago/Amstutz Expressway (Groundhogs day/Transformers) Safe travels my friend!!
I was in Chicago three weeks agos I was in town for AEW out in Hoffman estates . While there I seen everything I seen the home alone house, The married with children house, I also seen Andre's house from the tv show empire, and I also seen the empire headquarters from the show too.
The second movie scared the absolute shit out of me when I was a kid. O remember crying to my grandmother and mother. I had only watched a portion of it in the daytime at a friend's house, and was traumatized for weeks! I'm going to watch the first one Tonite. Wish me luck! 🤞
Great video!! The funny thing is when you see Andy walking under the tracks passing the food and liquor grocery store he's actually walking south towards 44th street but the apartment building was on 41st.
I been to Chicago like three weeks ago man how I wished I seen this video before I went. I seen the Home alone house, the family matters house, empire headquarters , Andre Lyon's apartment, and the Married with children house.
I've always wondered if those apartments really had fireplaces or not. It seems so strange that such an apartment would have a fireplace like the one used in the film, but I have never confirmed whether they really had them or if it was just as you say, "movie magic."
I saw like clips of Chucky when I was younger (7-8) and its terrified me since. 😂 but at the same time now at 15, im kinda tempted to watch the Chucky films. But I know im damn right terrified of him. 😂😂
Previous to the recent comment, I just watched the first Childs Play film after I first saw clips of it years ago, which terrified me. I actually really enjoyed the film! 😂
I pass the apartment building often. It has been used in 3 films. And rumor has it Charlie Chaplain lived there back when films were made in Chicago long before Hollywood
That set of buildings of the Cook County correctional facility was once the Cook County Infectious Disease Hospital. When the sheriff's department took it over it was used for a bit of filming for different projects. My dad, a retired Cook County Deputy, has some crazy ghost stories from those buildings.
I love Child’s Play one of my favorite 80s movie and like Child’s Play 2, Child’s Play 3, and Bride Of Chucky but the other ones got silly.💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
You should do the filming locations of the 1984 VACATION,the next time you are in Chicago. I know only a few are in Chicago. Also, when in Orlando, where I am at ,is the filming locations of ERNEST GOES TO JAIL, Adam has done a vlog too. Hope to see you
I remember as a kid back in the 80'S when this came out. I really wanted to see it and I asked my dad to record it as it was on the movie channel at midnight. The next day it never recorded my dad said, but I think he lied and didn't record it lol because I was ten years old. These 80's horror movies seem silly today but back then they were terrifying.
Great Job as always Jay I have relatives who live in Indiana, the Fort Wayne area to be precise, and used to make the three hour drive to Chicago occasionally. Keep up the good work.
Call me crazy, but I always thought the Tampa Bay Area would be an interesting place to film horror movies, including Child’s Play. It’s got that “aura” about it.
HEY, TAMPA JAY Yeah I really like the filming location vlogs and I did enjoy the child's Play (Chucky) movies and appreciate your time doing these Vidoes OK JAY hope you and your family are doing well Take care stay safe and God bless
hey, somewhere, like you're going on US-41, you can find the John Handcock Center where the Movie Poltergeist 3 was mostly filmed. The young girl, Carol Anne, went there to stay with some relatives in the movie. I think the John Handcock has a new name now, not sure.
I’m flying into Indianapolis from nj for two colts games against the titans and jets in late October early November cant wait to go back to watch my Colts beautiful stadium and city
You should consult with someone from here before trying to pronounce things wrong or I heard that was done on purpose to get extra comments. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Great video. I really enjoyed.
