People saying that he "just" could have re-heated the food. *It's not about the food,* if it wasn't the food it would have been something else, like the way she looked at him or something she said. It could also be the other way around with the genders, but what is important is that *violence is never the answer* .
Yep. It could have been a gourmet 5 star meal. It's about the man taking his anger out on the vulnerable target in the room he can get away with socially. It's sick. I watched it happen. I hope my kids never have to see their parents fight, i will try everything in my power to make them grow up happy healthy and seeing what a real couple looks like
Stfu, violence sometimes is the answer to certain things. In regards to the occupation of my home and our humiliating defeat, violence was the answer to that, but now it’s too late, hopefully I am wrong about this tho.
When it comes to abusive partners, it is always heads I win tails you lose for the abuser. If it was not for the food being cold, he would have found another reason to get angry. My mother was like this at times. If I answered a question with an answer she did not like, she would retroactively change the question.
It’s really poetic calling this a child abuse commercial. Because even though the child isn’t the direct target of this abuse, he is still being abused by being forced to watch this and it’s doing harm to his psyche, and the harm makes him grow up and repeat his father’s abuse because that is the life he knew. Abuse doesn’t just hurt the ones who are directly hurt. It hurts those who are forced to witness it as well.
My father abuses my mother more often than he abuses me and though he’s never been physical it’s done quite a lot of harm to me since I’ve been forced to hear it
@@brokenman4668 I'm in the same boat. When I was three my father beat my mother nearly to death, and even though he never touched me, I saw all of it and it still affects me almost 14 years later. She's been in a bunch of abusive relationships since then, and again, while nobody hurt me, the yelling and screaming and breaking things have scarred me forever
I just live in such a family and I dont know how to be with man so I refuse to be with any man because the abuse is what I only know between husband and wife.
This really shows how history repeats itself and abuse is a horrific cycle. Notice how the kid in the flashback is different. I'm guessing that was the dad when he was just a kid witnessing his own father abusing his mother. Now he's doing the same thing in front of his son. If something doesn't change his son will end up as an abuser himself.
@Seanjohn5100 True, but a lot of people unfortunately do, and most of the time, they don’t even realize it because they grew up thinking that behavior is normal. I’ve seen this with my mom and aunts after finding out how my grandfather used treat them when they were kids.

I used to witness the same thing as a child. The look on that poor kid's face brings me back to the fear, sadness, and helplessness I used to feel knowing I couldn't stop what was going on.
Same i was always taught to lock my door when my father was at work then when she wasn't there anymore and when i isolated myself he got mad saying hed remove the door which to me was my safety and id have emotional outbursts but instead if helping me understand they'd punish me putting soap in my mouth or being called disobedient because i wanted privacy sometimes i never gotten it as i got older my grandmother would pop in me having no clothes on even once said i looked good naked i told my father but he ignored me or said it wasnt what i thought it was, or saying i didn't deserve privacy because we're all girls except for my father who sa me as i was getting older before i finished school and graduated. No one believed me when i told. i was locked in my room because i apperently deserved it for telling someone my problems. That's why i feel clingy to anyone who helps or understands me but i end up pushing them out of my bubble and i upset people i care about.
What a beautiful soul you have to raise public awareness of this one to many aweful scenes in a child's life....it honestly does affect a child's future and self esteem....

It's not easy climbing out of that situation,when you can't just leave..instead you're left to suffer,until you can make your getaway!! My mum was abusive towards me and my brother and 2 sisters and dad even copped it sometimes but he always protected me when mum was drunk and would start on me. My dad was and always will be my hero
Funny how the man's very nice to his kid, but is the complete opposite to his wife, and setting a bad example to his kid also. If he's so fed up with her when why not just file for a divorce instead of beating her senseless? There's really no need for it - at all.
All the Dad had to do was to stick the food in the microwave oven for a few minutes. He probably came home late from work. Why is it the Mom's fault the food was cold?
I deployed to Afghanistan and I also worked as a corrections officer after the fact And I will tell you one thing, nothing compares to what I witnessed and how I was treated before age 20. Nothing bothers me more.
His mom should've said no and got outta there, and most importantly, she should've told someone she trusted, like her parents, a teacher, or a police officer.
What we see here is a kid grown up beating his wife like he saw his father beating his mother years ago. And now his kid is witnessing this, and might continue the cycle when he grows up.

The kid is the one shown in the second instance with a different kid, hes abusing his own wife because of how he witnesses his father treat his mother, its literally all he knows how to treat women.
I grew up around domestic violence, it sucks I wish I was never born into it but at the same time I do not know why DCF, CPS in THE BRONX never ask me the right questions or help calm down when I was a child, plus I was physically , sexually and verbally abused . I should had been place in a foster home , I wish I could have one dream I want my childhood back and have had a different outcome in the 90s. 😕
Very much so Chris my brother in-law is one of em. He loves my sister and his kids very much. If he did hit her my dad would be very mad he taught my sister and I to never let a man hit you.
This man is weak. He knows what happened in the past, but he does it anyway. This goes on for generations, and can destroy people’s lives. We need more of these ads on our TVs and the internet, and I don’t care if these would harm the children. They need to know about this, or they’ll find out the hard way. And by then, it’s too late.

This is part 4 or 5 (I forgot) of me reviewing PSA’s. “It’s cold… it’s got no flavor”. We got a fix for those. They’re called a microwave and spices. Maybe you’ve heard of them? Anyways, I appreciate the shots, they look nice, so, 7/10. Nice editing and camerawork. P.S: Speaking of “THE DOG EATS BETTER THEN THIS!”: There is an actual book called “My Dog Eats Better Than Your Kids”. Just thought I’d mention.
Although an abuse still is an abuse, at least he did go through the abuse directly to me without my mom awareness because he said if you say something to mom, i will beat you more, i have no choice & let him do what he wants to do to me but when his home, i would hide at the corner
The people who are making jokes about this PSA aren’t trying to discredit abuse or victims of abuse. They’re reducing the perpetrators of said crimes to a joke… let serious comments be serious, and joke comments be jokes!
