Well I think art is about feelings, beauty, creativity, moments and emotions which isn't just realism. Some art is supposed to make you feel something some art is meant to be messy, some art is meant to not make sense, some art is meant to make total sense. Yes he's good he's absolutely amazing at realism. But that does't make him better at art than you.
im 13 and a young artist as well, just not nearly as good as him. I'm working with robotic animals and buildings in forests and other natural places. I personally love art like that, plus, i love adding mechanic textures to animals, so i think that's just the type of style for me. I'm not the best at it, but since i'm only 13, i think i'm okay. But i'll still keep growing my skill, in hope that my art will inspire someone else, just as this inspired me.
SelmaLeSeal Same thing here, though I prefer drawing humans. Honestly, talent/prodigy is overrated. Developing skill is far more rewarding and satisfying, in my opinion.
So your what, 14 now? So we're the same age. I love drawing ppl mostly. I just started on self portraits of ppl now and some ppl actually wanna pay me for it! It doesn't matter what your art style is. Art is art and you are you, so your art will be too :) Someday ppl are gonna be paying you for your art too :)
I've 17, and I've also loved art and painting and when I was 9 years old I was painting/drawing almost every day and I was nowhere near as good as him! I was slightly better than my classmates but only because they were still on stick figures. He has pure skill and talent, it can't be taught to a child how to paint like that
Not at all! Have you seen Picasso? He created incredible pieces that were an abstraction, have you seen spirited away? That is a truly incredible masterpiece animation artwork. I can go on if you like (:
Who said that? Nice strawman... anything to put down a talented person doing his best right? You’re probably just salty that he doesn’t draw animes lmao
Not sure if I was an art prodigy but everyone knew me at my schools (of at least 1000+ students) as THE top artist because of my drawings (not paintings like his though...they are remarkable). But I did very detailed and colorful pictures of nature scenes and animals, insects. Won a lot of awards. Never thought of myself as a prodigy but was told I was a born artist (could draw pictures most people could identify ever since I could hold a pencil).
itunu ogundipe Don't be silly ! He's probably had his dad holding the brush over his wrist, while he paints. I bet one of the parents finished the paintings and touched up the crappy bits for him. Who would know ? Anyway, the boy is not as clever as Akiane Kramarik. Now SHE is amazing and something is special about her lovely disposition !
Ive been an artist ever sense I was four and I'm still good at age 10. This kids art is absolutely amazing I would actually go there to see the art if I had the money.
yea not gon lie for a 9 year old this kid has some serious talent, and natural skill for it. His landscapes rival some of the history's great impressionist.
I know, I've seen stuff better than that and it doesn't sell for 20$, I feel bad for those struggling artists, I have no idea how he can just sell paintings off for thousands of pounds.
tbh I have seen children doing better than him (well they are not 9 but still they were around 11 or something) and they don't receive any recognition :(
Finally and actually prodigy and not just a kid who splashes paint on a canvas and makes art that’s although pleasing to look at it takes not much effort nor talent to splash paint on a canvas. I’m glad an actual prodigy has been found and got the attention it deserves.
My eldest sister was able to do paintings in water colour at this level at age 11. Would have been sooner if our grandad got around to teaching her sooner. He didn't bother with the rest of us. Point is, it's not that impressive. I don't see why it's selling for this much just because of his age. Adult artist that do the same level and better get significantly less for their paintings.
But thats the point though. That hes only 9! The older artist have been doing this all their lives to get where they were. He's only been doing it for 3 years. It is a bit impressive. Ive been drawing since i was a toddler (im 14 now) and am really good at drawing and cant even paint like this
In case you haven't heard of the bed they refer to, it's an exhibit by a female "artist". It is literally a bed with clothes strewn around it placed in the middle of an art exhibit. It is covered with things like condoms, and there's even a pair of knickers with period stains. It's called "My Bed", if you're wondering, and it's absolutely shit.
A 9 year old can get famous from drawing with water color yet a 10 year old who filled up an entire basement with gore drawings cant? ;-; Time to fill my entire house with them.
the difference is his parents support him and probably don't need to work now. the kid produces consistently and now has a good business plan someone made for him. i am good as well but procrastinate and very critical on myself. i am going to sell locally real soon as the local art pisses me off and i need extra money. landscapes is my muse and i've painting in my head for years. nice to finally break free and do it. get outdoors, no studio!!!
Dishith was 5 years old when he gave his exam in June 2013. He was able to complete each year of maths every four weeks, almost starting end of August 2012. By March 2013, he had finished year 10. He started to take mock exams at home timed like real exam and normally finished in 30-40 min. He felt paper 1 hard than 2, but guessed his result would be B when he came out of the exam. He was very sure that he would get B, may be he knows how good he is? RU-vid Search : Dishith GCSE Exam Results
They are worth that much simply because he is nine years old and painting as he is. It gives the collector something to tell their friends. It's about what makes the art / artist unique that determines the value.
These are the kids that deserve to be recognised, the ones that put as much effort as they can into their paintings. Not the ones that just splash random colours onto a canvas and call themselves artists.
The two kids have COMPLETELY different art styles, so you can hardly compare them. She paints abstract art, and he paints realistic landscapes. They're vastly different.
There is no such thing as a CHILD prodigy, it just means he has invested a lot more time and energy into it. It is true that you learn FASTER in your younger years simply due to the fact its what you are constantly doing, its easier to take it up and get better at. A true prodigy is someone outside of their young years who is capable of picking up something and still capable of mastering it WITHOUT the advantage the children have.
Sorry for my english. This is not a joke, Im form Chile, Im 19 now and I lived most of my childhood in the south of my country. Since I have memory I have been able to ''create'', or make like micro sculpture without even watching. For example I made ''Gokus'' smaller than a pin (large), this at the age of 6. This Gokus and many other stuff where a replic. I was obsesed with doing this so I lost all my gross motor, my parents were worried and didnt aload me to make plastic art anymore.
I used to draw ww2 scenes all the time I have a collection of over 500 drawings, 100 of which are drawings of warships and 200 planes, 80 are pacific island attacks, and 100 are battles in Europe, 20 are drawings of Russian, Japanese, German, Italian, American, and English soldiers and officers.
everyones commenting ab how old they are and how they cant art ok a y then work to improve!! not everyone is born with natural talent and you might be good at other things! Not everyone can be good at everything, some people are just better at certain things than others. You might be better at something else rather than art; don't push yourself down!
in one of Richard Schmid's books he mentions a female artist as being the next star. she completely went nowhere, forgot her name. the point is that a lot goes into being an artist. talent is one but perseverance and discipline are the other half. i am talented but procrastinate and get distracted that i waste a lot of time. if i could do over i would just paint and not try and get a job in a specific field. now i am stuck in a cubicle. just sold my first painting so it's a start!
He was nine when he made those paintings right? I would like to meet this kid. In fact, I like to draw with him, not to brag, but I'm a pretty good artist myself and am turning 13.
Greedy people thinking they're buying the works of a 21st century grand master for a "bargain price". Still, I like the works - he is a really good painter. Think how good he's gong to be when he's older and more experienced. They really could be buying the 21st century's equivalent of a Rembrandt or daVinci!
Heyyyy thats not fair! Ive been drawing for 8 years and im still no where near as good! Some people are just destined to do great things. Seriously though this kid is amazing
I'm not really into it or even good at painting or colouring but I love to draw and sketch without the colours. Some people say it looks realistic. :D thx
That's not trolling. And you were so wrong that the comment correcting you is still top comment that's how i saw your comment. I didn't realise the date of it
