If other kids are in that house they need to take those kids away from the parents and permanently take the custody and give the custody to another family member those kids are in danger of getting killed by the parents
Many people forget that a sleeping child is in the backseat, especially if it is a different parent, not the one usually bringing the child home from daycare. Car manufacturers should be able to put carbon dioxide sensors in cars. Those could be set with an alarm that goes off when carbon dioxide is detected, when the car has been cut off for fifteen minutes. That way, drivers would be reminded that a child or pet is in the back seat. (All animals, including humans, breathe in oxygen, and exhale carbon dioxide).
The fact that the person ran over the kid's pool leads me to believe the person was impaired. It's likely that they returned home forgot the kid was in the back and went inside and passed out.
oh yea they do! even dog trainers leave them in hot cars!. dont rely on 'sensors' to send u accurate temps from the car to ur smartphone either, those have been excuse in a # of dog deaths recently
The police should determine if the person and others inside the house were online and on social media while the child was in the car. I want to know what they were doing and didn’t notice their child gone. Didn’t they think they have to feed the baby? Change the baby? It’s too quiet in the house? Was the child disabled and this was on purpose? You rarely see anyone go to jail for this because it is deemed the suffered enough. Same with swimming pool deaths, and the child that gets access to a gun.
My ex's niece did this here in Florida Left her son in her car. He died. She had 4 other children Cami used drugs like pain meds and would sleep She's in prison. Yes they do go to prison Just not long enough.
There is NO EXCUSE ANYMORE!!! There’s enough warnings about leaving children & pets in vehicles, this is MURDER! I don’t care if they were drunk or stoned, it’s not an excuse.
weird that the neighbor who witnessed the child in the car for many hours said that this was preventable. I agree. Maybe the neighbor should have gone and knocked on the door or tried to get the child out instead of wating until nightfall to call the police? The parents should be given teh ealth penalty, but so should the neighbors that witnessed this and did nothing until the child had died. Shame on all of you

A day ago I entered my husbands truck to wait for him. 2 main points about that, ONE: the truck became very hot in just a minute or two. The second point is his truck can be started remotely. When he does that you cannot open the doors, and cannot open the windows from the passenger side. Who the hell designs a truck that no one can get out of from the inside!!!!
My deepest condolences to the family. However, I just can’t wrap my head around why people do this? I’m 62 n have senior moments like my bag, and phone but never my grands. I struggle with strollers, chair and etc, yet you’re coming with me at all times. If they’re sleep they better wake up! Sad.
These parents know what they are doing but they should put the parents in the cars and make them stay in their the same amount of time with the police standing there

I thought they had a device that would sense if a person/child was left in the car. I was a single parent and a Supervisor at work. I can remember feeling exhausted many times. I don’t know if I would have EVER forgot my child in a car. Tragic. Totally tragic. Those first responders I hope they can find peace.
People make horrible mistakes. They are distracted, worried about stuff. These people will never get past this. Please show just a tiny bit of mercy since we don't know how it all went down.
I don't understand this. I just ask my husband who could forget their child is still in the car? My boys were 13 months apart, it was always the first thing I did after I parked. Unstrap one and walk around to unstrap the second child. Nothing was ever more important. Are people too busy on their phones or what?
They are saying the child was in the car for a long time so why were they not noticing the child gone. Only 2 years old so why were they not checking on the child.
My own children are adults now, not once did I ever forget I had them with me. I'm a MuMu {gramma) now & having little ones with me is something that doesn't happen often but anytime I have 1 with me, I don't forget they're there. People need to quit making excuses!
These things are never accidental it ever,no one forgets their child or grandchild,their not a damn bag of groceries or your purse you don't forget that's intentional
'Probably' done on purpose...how many reports do we get of parents leaving their children in the car in freezing temperatures....there are recent reports of leaving them in the woods, but not a car. Everyone knows what will happen in hot temperatures with no AC in a car....EVERYONE. EVERYONE has felt how unbearably suffocating it is in a car with no AC, so there's NO excuses, none whatsoever.

I've seen people who take the dog in the store but leave the children in hot vehicles. Where are their brains and priorities at, when so called adults do this🤔. No sympathy here, except for the poor child🙏 that suffered.

What are you talking about. This child was already born and the parents were neglectful to the point of death. That’s a crime in my book. In abortion, the parent or parents are deliberately ending the life of their child and it is premeditated. It should be prosecuted just like any other murder case but the culture and the govt have lost their minds and refuse to acknowledge abortion is murder.
