That movie doesn't get enough love for its beautiful cinematography and the way how much of it was shot on kid/doll eye level and its beautiful use of light and shadow in some scenes. Cinematographer Stefan Czapsky lensed afterwards EDWARD SCISSORHANDS (and also ED WOOD) and I'm sure that Tim Burton saw this movie and thought: "Damn, I need to work with that guy!"
The good guy technician death is the reason the bad guy from who framed rodger rabbit creeped me out so much. Something about real people with cartoon eyes just makes my uncanny valley siren sound
I was actually pissed when Joanne blamed Andy for Phil’s death. I was screaming “LOOK AT THAT DISTANCE BETWEEN THEM. HOW COULD ANDY POSSIBLY KILL HIM YOU MORON.”
I think she thought Phil fell down the stairs and broke his neck so in her mind it was Andy's fault because to Joanne if Phil hadn't gone to check downstairs he'd still be alive.
It took maybe 30 seconds for them to get downstairs? Also I wouldn’t put it against Joanne to blame Andy after her husband just broke his neck and died. Y’know, the person you pledged your life to is now dead after this controversial boy comes into your home?

2:23 PREACHHH!!! bad behavior from a foster child doesnt always mean bad kid he just most ;ikely have triggers and needs some time to adjust to their new environment and from a former foster youth myself this was also an issue for me growing up always in "survival mode"

I agree, by the end of the film Kyle and Andy's step-siblings relationship is full of hearty trust and true care for each other. Even if it was short, it might have been the best character development ever put in this franchise.
He was still alive after child's play 2 In child's play 3 you can see his blood is still dry when he gets picked up by the factory machine So the "kill him by the heart" is still a thing in the sequels
@@Haydn3560 No. It was shot but they thought it would take away the meaning of the ending. It is however on you tube, because the Sci-Fi channel broadcasted it anyway. In the end, they went with this idea & re-shot it - poorly, I might add for the 3rd film.
