PLEASE DO 2009 BY MAC MILLER He’s someone you guys haven’t touched yet and you need to, especially in light of recent events. His death effected a whole generation of music listeners in the US. Many of us grew up with him from middle school through university and played a huge role in the highs and lows of our lives, seeing him go has devastated many of us in the 20-35 year old crowd. His death was mourned by anyone even vaguely connected to the hip-hop industry, from the likes of Kanye, Wiz Khalifa and even John Mayer. He was Hip-Hop’s positive light, to see it gone so soon was a tragedy. 2009 is a song off his recent album Swimming (an excellent project altogether). It’s not a pop hit but it’s absolutely beautiful, having a nostalgic feel that many of us feel for his music. Thanks for all you do!
