A legend has left us, RIP SIR TERRY WOGAN. Can't think of anyone else on mainstream tv/radio for over 50 years who is as much respected (possibly Brucie) and loved. An umblemished scandal free career. Your Irish wit and laid back re-assuring voice made you a favourite of mine throughout my 39 years. Rest in peace Sir and thank you.
He was one of the decent people on the BBC, I heard he had gut feelings about Jimmy Saville & Jimmy Saville tried to make an appearance on BBC Children in need & Sir Terry Wogan put his foot down & never allowed Jimmy Saville on his show.
This was somewhat of a embarrassing flop for Children in Need (missing the top 75 entirely), perhaps because people who like Terry Wogan don't tend to listen to jungle and people who listen to jungle don't tend to like Terry Wogan.
This was terrible. I mean, seriously, seriously terrible. I often finding myself saying “TV was so much better back in the day…” but this utterly unenjoyable. Why not just perform the retro orchestration and allow the viewers to enjoy some nostalgia? “Wayooo” my arse.
