Little did anyone know that this would be the end of an era. Within a year of this show, Aleksi would be gone forever, the world would be hijacked by a deadly virus, and travelling abroad to see your favourite band play live would be a sweet, distant memory.
Children of Bodom were the first metal band I'd ever gotten into, and finding them was such a stroke of luck. I had gotten up early one morning to go to school, turned on the TV before getting dressed, and what was on? Headbanger's Ball. The video? Needled 24/7. Alexi Laiho altered the course of my life that morning.
I feel so sorry for Jaska. He and Alexi started this thing, and Alexi just couldn't get his shit together. They had to leave, and now he's dead, and he can't change that.
@VF-141 I SEAL i dont think that is the reason they split up. In a newspaper here in Finland Janne told that Alex did "something unforgiven" and they had some beef in the band.
@@juhis66611 As far as i know, he was there. There are some photos on Instagram just search for #Roopelatvala instagram.com/p/B6I1MZshGtr/?igshid=fjc0un87qr3d
I guess its better that there is no dvd from it. Sure it was a Special night, but the band was Splitting up because of alexis heavy addiction. They must feel horrible. They invested their whole life in this band. And they could see over years how alcohol destroyed everything. Thats just sad. I like the old videos. No pressure, no Business, just 5 guys making music and f*** loving it. @@extain89
Rough translation: "Hello. Thank you all for coming. The past 20 plus years have gone by unbelievably fast. I can't even remember half of the shows, but this one I will remember. Thank you." *clapping* "Thank you for all the support that I've got, and it is so nice that you are all here tonight and that you have been part of my life and part of this band and I can say for sure that I will miss you so much. Thank you so much."
@@smallfaucet : That's what makes this so sad. They were getting back to a really good place and then this happens. I personally believe that, had Hexed not been written and produced after their 20th anniversary tour, they would've never been able to make such a good album that sounds like where they should have gone after HCDR. I love AYDY?, but Hexed has less in common with AYDY and more in common with their first four albums.
Это столько народу на трибунах мало было,либо уже под конец начали двигаться на выход? ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-cXGTZ0CipkY.htmlm42s
Lol you all act as if this is really the end. They will be back within 5 years because they will need the money as their other projects will be no where near as lucrative.
@@eden2esthar ehh we shall see about that one. Tom is getting too old for doing the Slayer thing and his heart has not been in it for 25 years or so. I could see slayer maaaaybe doing some festivals but thats about it.
