Another beautiful day out while tautog fishing. I couldn't hold bottom with a 2 oz egg sinker so I ended up fishing near/between the rocks for the most part.
Fishing at the jetty can be dangerous. Please learn about the equipment needed and all of the dangers involved before making a trip to any jetty.
Thank you for watching!

Sweet video, love watching those hooksets and you keeping the rod tip up and trying not to get a snag. Jetty fishing for tog is soooooo much fun, he'll even the 13" fish put up an awesome fight, very powerful fish.

Agreed, the fight they put up is amazing considering their size. Togs might be my favorite fish to catch in the fall, the bite is so consistent I love it! Thanks for watching!

It's starting to slow down a bit now but it's a beautiful inlet either way. You should definitely get out there!

Great video man. I can't believe that one at the 3:15 mark wasn't a keeper, he was a chunk! And respect for braving those rocks there man, I don't do those, lol

Lucky ass😊 I can spend hours fishing and still not catch anything in New York. I try a variety of places when the tides are high and without results. I can't catch anything for two weeks. winter fishing is the hardest

You can catch Tog pretty much anywhere that has heavy structure but after November it will be tough catching them from shore since they usually start migrating to deeper water by then. If your going for blues/stripers, you might get a better bite at sunrise. You could also be reeling in too quickly, not at the correct water column, or using the wrong presentation/bait. I've made all of these mistakes and didn't catch anything for months when I first started out lol.
