Another lovely,budget friendly meal. What I do with my leftover Fat is pour it into an old sauce jar,lid on,under the sink until full, then into the domestic rubbish. Have you thought about buying a rice cooker?? I just have,bloody brilliant= wash rice,then 1 cup of water to 1 cup of white rice,lid on,button down,then pops up when cooked,. It even keeps the rice warm until your ready to use it and is 350 watt so lower power than a micro or hob. 🙂
Corn in the chili is good too,I don’t like kidney beans, but I like black beans in my chili,and very good on a baked potato,with cheese,and sour cream.
Not had a chilli for ages usually have mine on a jacket potato i also do chilli with nachos and loads of cheese without the rice yours looked really nice
Food porn pure and simple, mate😋🤤! To save money on energy bills, if I'm boiling rice or pasta etc, I boil the water in the kettle while the pan's heating on the hob. The water keeps boiling when it hits the pan, and it saves loads of time and money👍.

Just made a chilli the other week & it was out of this world. Same recipe I've used for years but I decided to try simply cook for their £1 trial. There little stock pots elevated it to a different level. I know you did a simply cook recently which is why I googled it. Really impressed

I have really gone off Aldi minced beef 😞 Its full of gristle, I know its only £2.50 but Sainsburys do Aldi price match on certain products so i pop in there for my minced beef Aldi matched @ £2.50 but much much nicer! 🙂
Aldi’s minced beef isn’t cheap in NY $5:99,for 1 lb (454)g but it’s also good quality,just the same as all the other supermarkets. The only place I have had beef with gristle is Burger King,and I haven’t had a burger from them in 40 years.

Great that you made the chili from scratch instead of dumping it out of a can! I used to work in a food factory that made canned chili and I am here to say, don’t eat that crap!!
Canny beat chilli m8,I use same ingredients from Aldi you use and add extra chilli powder to mine as wife likes hers milder. And I freeze a couple of portions of leftover chilli for dinners. Cracking value if your watching your money but very tasty also. Good review👍
I'm not a massive fan of kidney beans tbh - I can tolerate them in a nice bowl of chili though. I don't mind them in a spicy bean burger, but that's pretty much it.
