Wonderful as always. For real, thank you for all the hard work you do with your videos. You have no idea how much it helps with my wanderlust withdrawals, especially to get back to Japan. Thanks again and stay safe!💖
Thank you for spending time to watch my videos. Time is precious in this life and thanks for using some of it on me. I hope we return to a somewhat normal life soon! Stay healthy and safe!
I know you've been doing a lot of livestreams lately, but I love your edited videos, too. Your framing, camera angles and editing are beautiful. This video is lovely. I know that livestreaming doesn't always fit your schedule and I admire your dedication to providing entertaining content to your subscribers...
Thank you~ ^^ I hope one day, when the pandemic is over and my income returns to normal, I can save up for new camera and lenses to make my cinematic dream come true. I can only work with what I have at the moment. Thank you for the kind words and continued support! Please stay safe and healthy.
I know that in many cultures, cats are believed to guard the spirit world. I'm not sure if that's the same in Japan, but if it is, maybe these cats are little spirit guardians! Just a cute thing to think about.
This was awesome, Cory! Thanks for taking us around. Perfect backdrop to put on while I do hella studying. Congrats on the sponsor, btw! Edit: CATS!!!!!!

Ah, no worries Silver! Real life always comes first. hehehe Hope you've been taking care and being safe. We'll see ya in future streams for sure! Cheers
I hope to upgrade my camera just a little bit in the future. I feel like the shots I want aren't possible right now due to limitations of the camera and lens. One day~~~
Thanks! Unfortunately I have no interest in podcasts or podcasting. I've done voice work and narration work before, and have been on radio a few times. But that doesn't really interest me unless I can make some good income from it! hahaha
Great calming and relaxing video. I really like this candid format of random scenery that captures the essence of the location. I never really spent much time out in Ikebukuro and Toshim-ku in general, but I may have to try staying out there next time I'm in Japan. Thanks for another great video!
Yeah dude! I want to make more of these types of videos when I can. The weather (and low income) cucks me hard sometimes, but I try to do what I can within my limits. hehehe See ya in Discord!
Look at you making a beautiful artistic video. This was lovely!❤ I could fill this entire comment section with all that I loved about this. The sounds of the birds at the shrine and the cats. But I especially liked your Hitchcockian cameos throughout the video, that was cute. Do more like this.👍🏻 And congratulations on the sponsor too. Take care.😊
Thanks, Shannon! I wish the pandemic hadn't happened (not just for global health reasons) but also because of how much money I lost from potential income. It dropped 50% since the pandemic started. I had goals to purchase new camera equipment to make better videos with a more cinematic style, but that had to be put on the back burner until all of this blows over. Thanks again for watching and all your support! Cheers!
@@CoryMay81 I know the feeling. I went from 40hrs a week to 20. Hopefully once the vaccines all go out we'll start to get back to some kind of normal. Take care and stay safe.😊
Is this the same place that you had a little rooftop patio? It looks different from that place. What does the red arches mean? Beautiful flowers and big trees. I love love love the cats.
No, that was my Vietnam apartment tour from January 2018. This is Japan, where I've been living since April 2019 (my home country). hehehe The red arches are called Torii gates, and are found at the entrance to Shinto shrines. They're the gateway between this world and the spirit world. Thanks for watching!
i like watching your videos ,i always been wanted to visit japan ever since anime became famous back since i was a kid but never had a chance to because of financial. what advice can you give for first time visitors and how did you end up yourself in japan?
Spent the day with you ... this video didn't work for me. I liked your Ueno Station as you pointed out (visual / auditory) the points of interests; the shopping tour worked as you talked about the products. In this one, I wanted to hear about the cats ... have never been to Ikebukuro so I had no idea what I was seeing. Would like to have known which shrines we were seeing, and all of the bldgs. Wanted to share so you would know your audience.
Thanks for your feedback. These quiet videos without much talking are meant to be a break from my usual walk & talk videos. Just scenes and sounds of places as they really look. Thanks for watching!
