They are not species, they are a breed and they are not wild they are feral. The wild ancestors of modern cattle are extinct, the last killed in Poland in the sixteenth century. There are wild relatives of modern cattles like the Gaur, the critically endangered wild Yak, Banteng and kouprey. Originally there were 11 species in Genus Bos, out of them four are extinct. Three ( Yak, Mithun and Cattle) are domesticated and four (Gaur, kouprey, Banteng and Wild yak) are threatened.
Great Video, I remember seeing a piece about it before on Countryfile, now its great to be able to look at this again.. Just so fascinating to see our farm animals, living wild.
Vous avez raison, ce bétail dit " Sauvage " a certainement passé l'hiver en stabulation dans une étable . Sinon c'est impossible qu'il aient les fesses aussi sales .
