That is the saddest thing, why do the parents think it is ok to let their kids make fun and tease an animal. they were actin more like an animal than the chimp.

A kid's honesty, "Oh no, not again", says it all. They knew this agitated the chimp, which is why they were clapping. These intelligent animals are already distressed enough being in an enclosure like this; let's not make it worse my purposefully making them mad.
Looked actually like the chimp was having fun playing along and some kid made a face he didn't like. Don't think the chimp was irritated by the clapping. Hence why he charged at that spot on the glass.
I've never been much of a animal activist but watching this breaks my heart it's not enough to be in prison he has to entertain these bastards and gets hurt

If you’re going to go to a zoo, you owe the animals there respect. People put them outside of their natural habitat and into a confined space so that you have the chance to learn about the natural world and gain knowledge about these incredible animals, not so you can taunt and torment them. These poor chimps deserve just as much respect as any person. They are 98% you, so show them the same respect you would like to be shown, or others show to you.

I'm not blaming the kids, nor the parents, but where the fuck are the zookeepers or workers who are (well, should be) educated on these animals and should be telling the visitors what they can and can't do?
This is a good take. It’s kind of annoying scrolling through these dramatic comments saying that these families are evil for annoying the chimp. People are only going to the zoo for a good time and not are really thinking too much about how ethical it is. Zookeepers being there to tell people to not bother the animals would help.

Why parents don't learn more respect for animals and nature to kids? If we know one thing for certain, nature will always be stronger than people and animals will have no mercy with us if they catch us, and it's their right
Sad because the claps are like a sign of aggression to it but it doesn't understand the kids and people are just entertained. It just stressful for an animal to live like everyday this with nowhere to really go no freedom in a highly stressful confusing environment must be mad depressed.
I went to the zoo in San Diego where they have a chimp enclosure and I would always look at the biggest male chimp in the eyes and he would always freak the fuck out. It was based.
A lot of times when someone gets bullied, it's because they get angry and aggressive, like this chimpanzee did, which just makes their bullies laugh like these kids in this video did when they were messing with this chimp and he went crazy...
I used to watch this series all the time. I miss it dearly, is it still on TV, or did they take it off after the attack on that man? Which that man NEVER should have been in there for any reason whatsoever!!! I don't blame the chimps...I was always worried for that beautiful man that rescued them from horrible existences, but he really shouldn't have gone in their either. Sooner or later something bad would have happened to him ( especially if Jao was mad at him or God forbid if Jao died. Other chimps would want to be the alpha and maybe not want that man in there !!! I saw an episode when Jao would NOT put his hand out and turned his back on him and he had to run into the enclosure!!! So why did this guy that was there once before ( I think) go in there??? What was he expecting? The chimps probably saw him as a threat...Also who the heck gave him permission to go inside??!! Eugene had years of experience and he shouldn't have been going in there either! I pray that this beautiful sanctuary doesn't get shut down!😫🎈 Broken Heart Y
I saw behavior like that before on Animal Planet when a drummer was drumming, I don't think it was a sign that he enjoyed it. They are very scary when worked up and can get quite violent. You definitely want that glass there to be strong
That animal is pissed off and tired of being behind glass and everyone's good time! They are smarter then most people assume and they belong in the wild! And don't ever own a wild animal because they can be very dangerous in captivity when they get sick of being your toy and your RU-vid hit!
