China’s tech takeover: Do we need to worry? 

It's a shame that countries haven't applied the same scrutiny to US tech and services as they have done with China.

Do we need to worry about US's and developed countries' capital controlled media corporations control what information provided to us? Like what was hidden from us (or deeply placed in their webpage) - for example, about Israel and Palestine in past 70 years?

What a great question? So I want to ask, do we need to worry about German technology products? Do we need to worry about American tech products? As long as the product's industrial chain and core technology are not controlled by ourselves, we all need to worry theoretically, but why only target China and not other countries? China exports so many products. Does Deutsche Welle know which products have safety issues?

I think their intension is as clear as American or European countries or companies that is to grow financially and stay or become powerful so that it can influence, no difference here with that.

Overall the tech is good for society and furthermore 99% of the population doesn't care being surveillance if its true. To most of them you're wasting your own time surveillancing them.

Zéro sum mentality in western countries. That is why their main goal has been to maintain third world in poverty so to stay the hegemonic power. Africa is developing only when China begins to help.
