France is the only militarily independent country in EU with nukes, France is only EU country in the five permanent members of the United Nations. I hope France can lead EU, and Europe will be great again, Macron must be next De Gaulle.
Trade with China is not free nor fair. It is China subsidizing over production and exporting it to western economies while at the same time restricting fair business practices on western companies in China. The west needs to speak clearly with a singular voice.

Asa (Western)European I am glad the USA is the strongest nation/major power by far. We still have also European only interst too though not just the joint US-European ones. Just like the USa has some of their own US only interests. With merkel gone Macron is the new de facto EU-leader. Without the UK for me the EU is no longer centered around London-Paris-Brussels-Bonn but more eastwards. But at least macron has avocie of his own and European vision (even if I don't share it always)...

There should be no of Democracy countries to conduct trades with China. Because China is not doing trades fairly as it charged 25% against the US trades while US only charged 2% against China's trades. This could be a giant threat to any of those who conducts trades with China. Anyones who trading with China will lost of their financials more than they make the interests in comparing of US buyers spent $600 billions to buy China's products, and China's buyers only spent $150 billions to buy US's products. This means each year China gets free US's money of $450 billions. This huge amount could build China's lots of military powers as to give free of 275 Nukes to China a year with yield of 2 Megatons each Nuke. The US and any other Democracy countries should stopped to give China free money to build 100s of Nukes annually.
Wonder why you didn't notice unfair trade balance of US vs Chile, Brazil, Croatia, you name it. This gives US tons and tons of free money for many decades annually.
