So imagine each millitary branch, private, and government backed companies have a budget and the U.S. puts over 8 billion into each of them, especially in places, not even all of the U.S. government knows. It's an unspoken kind of knowledge in the population (to those who know). Many don't think about it, but there is a reason why the U.S. is a global superpower and will be one for some time.

V: "Ok, yes, America has done bad things to countries around the world, but none of them were nuclear armed!" Then he criticises Russia for using nuclear threats. The USAs foreign policy encourages nuclear proliferation and posturing. It's the only way you can keep them at bay...
@@lordlubu3029 The part where America invading and interfering with countries that don't have nukes, encourages countries to acquire and posture their nuclear capability, to keep America from invading/interfering with them? I thought that bit was obvious...
@@lordlubu3029 Reread my comments and find where I said that. The simple dynamic at play is, that since the advent of nuclear weapons, a country in possession of them has a level of sovereignty that is harder to challenge. Any country is going to think twice about invading you, or even annoying you too much. As a result of this, the US (and other nations) have had to limit their interests to non-nuclear nations for invading and dominating. This in turn encourages nations with weapons to be vocal about it, it's really the only thing they have to maintain their position. I'm not making a moral judgement here, it's just the global dynamic, as I see it. Vaush seems to have overlooked it. Simply stating that things wouldn't be perfect in the world, if the dynamic were suddenly reversed, does nothing to negate the truth of the matter. Please do better to think on the matter before calling people naive over spurious conclusions.
@lordlubu3029 You would have to establish a reason and precedence for a country to start suicidally lobbing nukes around unprompted. You have no historical analysis that would allow you to make that assertion for any country other than the U.S.

I love how “anarchist socialist” Vaush opens the video with neocon arguments about how US imperialism is needed to “stabilize the world” you can find the same thinking in the Nazi archives and every other empire btw
Nope, the claim is that of all the big 3, the US is the most stable and least bad, which is true. It’s similar to Neocon arguments only on a superficial level. Neocons like imperialism, Vaush is arguing that it’s better for the nation that is somewhat democratic be the top dog than China or Russia, who have basically become fascistic. Very different if you’re not stupid.
No, they nazi's were pretty open about the fact that they thought the world was a clash of races and Aryan blue eyed blond haired germans were the best race, and so got to kill all the other ones. Personally, I don't like or trust the US, but they are better than Russia or China, although all three are pretty plutocratic. And the US does act as a stabilising force; if it collapsed tomorrow, everyone who doesn't have nukes would try and get them ASAP, and that will be pretty bad. I don't think the Cuban embargo or Nicaraguan rebels are justified, but the US is the only major power that can stop Russian Fascist/Imperialist revanchism, or defend Taiwan, and I think those are worth doing.
@@user-cx9nc4pj8wThe US doesn't care about Taiwan or Ukraine, all they care about is profits. And the US is not a democracy, not at all like China. Take for example the BLM protests vs the Chinese anti-lockdown protests. After a week or two of anti-lockdown protests in China, the CPC completely changes it's system to accommodate for the demands of the people. It's pretty clear who is democratic. Plus, China is the only peaceful superpower this world has ever seen. If you are on the left, but support the USA over China, then you are not actually on the left.

Turkey is not comitting a genocide. That is just an overexxageration. They attack kurdish militias. You can criticize that. But if you invent things that aren't true, you are stopping progress. A genocide requires a totally different answer. I also wished people would give a more complete picture. Turkey stopped the war in Lybia for example. Or took millions of refugees (and no it didn't cause those refugees, it was against the Syrian/Iraq war). Why is Turkey important? They have the second biggest military in Nato. Their geography makes them a regional power. Their influence stretches from the Balkan, to Persia and North Africa. They don't have resources, but their neighbors do and that gives them a huge advantage. They are also the only country in the region with a stable government for centuries. I wished people would know how hard that is. There are only a few countries in the world with such a history. And those countries usually have an abundance of resources. They also have a great demographics which makes them economically important. They are technologically advanced (not as advanced as the west, but very advanced for a Muslim country). It is one of the few countries that will flourish under deglobalization. So no, the US will never invade Turkey. That would be insane. It would destabilize the whole region (from Balkan, to Persia to North Africa).
NATO is plotting to take out Erdogan. Then Russia will move into Turkey to stabilize it. They will give Greece and Armenia their land back to build allies.
I can’t believe that chat can be as stupid as it is. To even CONSIDER that the US might be on par with RUSSIA and CHINA as global nuclear threats is ludicrous
It is true. US military is extremely sophisticated. They are technologically 20 years ahead. And even the old tech is unmatched by the next 3-5 biggest militaries combined.
1:06.30 That would never happen. While Turkey has military control over the Bosporus, they have no control over the civilian traffic due to the Montreux Convention, so it's literally everyone except Turkey's best interest to keep it unplugged. Turkey actually has a plan for the Istanbul Canal, that they want to dig as a parallel to the Bosporus so they can monetize the thoroughfare. Then they'd just have to regularly place the Bosporus under military emergency so they don't have to grant right of way for the civilian ships and force everyone through their own toll booths or whatever ships have.
