What was not mentioned here is that Taiwan started to put it a lot of money in Lithuania. They opened a 1billion loan fund to lend money to Lithuanian companies with good conditions. Furthermore we opened a joint Semiconductor science center , providing additional 200million investemnt

Well done Lithuania. Chinese like to dictate. I try my best not to buy products made in China, but it is not easy. For example: I will not buy a mobile phone which is a Chinese brand. I instead buy Samsung which is made in South Korea. I rather pay a little more rather than having a product made in China. Companies and Countries need to do more not to deal with China.

Of course China sees Taiwan as part of their territory, "even though Tawian sees itself as self-governed". If you know anything about history, you know that the Koumintang lost the civil war in China, and fled to the island of Formosa to found what they call "Taiwan". They were the loser in a civil war, by any international law they have no more legitimate claim to any territory in a war they lost. They should thank China for not claiming said territory all this time. They also eradicated any political opposition that was mainland-friendly, to the point of cutting off tongues of dissidents, and re-educated the young about how Taiwan was always natively independent. Heck the REAL official governmental name of Taiwan isnt Taiwan, its "Republic of China", because that's what they were, the faction in the civil war that lost. But i've even met Taiwanese people who themselves have no clue about this. They dont even know their own country is actually named RoC, China. They think its Taiwan, lol. This isnt conspiracy, this is just historical fact, look it up in hard-cover books. No im not chinese, im western. I have no bias, except for truth. It's the exact same thing as if Texas remained Confederate after the US civil war, and claimed independence despite losing the war. What do you think USA would do if Texas was a self-proclaimed independent Confederate state? Do you really think USA would just let them be? No, they'd be wiped out within a month after the civil war was won. But of course we cant say this without being cancelled or banned or hated. Because we dont care about factual historical accuracy here in the West. We dont educate our kids on Asian world history. Instead, China is a big country rivalling USA, thus they are the "enemy". Thus, anything they have anything to do with is "wrong". No, not this one. Taiwan isnt, and never was, a legitimized sovereign country. They're the losing government of a civil war in exile. Exactly the same as if the Confederates still held onto Texas, or Cuba, or whatever. Doesnt matter if you like China's government. Doesnt matter if China's government does bad shit. That doesnt mean the Taiwan issue suddenly swaps legitimacy, it has nothing to do with the newer stuff. Reality hurts, but we should operate based on reality, not based on wishes.

If i was China, I would be pretty pissed off at Russia. Russia has justified invading Donetsk and Luhansk because according to then "they have been self-governed since 2014 and is therefor independant". All this has done is set precedent that Taiwan has been self-governed since 1949 and should therefor be considered an independent country that China is not entitled to... Cant have it both ways.

It is a simple matter, you sign a framework treaty with China with One China policy, one content of it is "Taiwan" cannot be seen as a political term. All other trade, travel and diplomatic relations are based on this framework. If you breach it, all others thing will be broken. China is exercising a new trick picked up from the US, that all component China import must not have Lithuanian involvement. Seems very effective, otherwise we would not see such a old news that happened for a month now to be covered by BBC.
