There is something big that has been happening in China’s Shenzhen nowadays. A lot of economic development, improvement and technological advancement has been going on this metropolis for so many years. If you want to know what I’m taking about, just watch the video from beginning till the end.

@@pinakibhattacharya5632 They're not going to get gobbled up, why would China take Pakistan unless Pakistan open arm, gave up their country to China. China doesn't want Pakistan and would never violently try and take Pakistan. They only want trading partners. It doesn't even matter that Pakistan's economy isn't great, the only thing China would do, would give a lending hand to the situation that Pakistan is in, and help them build, while also expecting some win-win situations. India is most likely trying to stop the relations between Pakistan and China by starving them out. Do you not see the map of India, it has octopus arms extending inside small crevasses of east Asians territories like Myanmar. Bicycles work in less densely crowded cities. Back in the early 2000s, most Chinese did get around on bikes. What an absolute nightmare. Try crossing the road when there are 2 to 4 bikes whizzing past you every second.

I am very glad to see the positive side about China. China's economy can not develop today without the support and leadership of the government. People who have never been to China always feel that we Chinese are deeply oppressed by the government and live a painful life every day. We have no democracy and human rights. But if you think about it carefully, if we really live the life you imagine, can we still have so many people? Can China still develop into a second economy? Your prejudice comes from the malicious smear of the western media. Every country has both good and bad sides, but the western media describe China to you with the slightly bad side of China, and exaggerate it. As a Chinese, I think our government sincerely serves the people. We have our own path of development. Why do western countries always stop us? Is it because our path is different from theirs?

Excellent video Richard, but it's a great pity that neither you nor other RU-vidrs show the amazing architecture and the enormous number of buildings devoted to cultural purposes in Shenzhen; theaters, museums, concert halls (top international musicians and singers perform there every year), libraries, book stores, art galleries and others. Why Shenzhen RU-vidrs never show OCT Loft neighborhood with its own art galleries, design shops, trendy restaurants and cafés where jazz is played every evening and comment that all this fantastic area is urban but at the same time it's located in a wood? Why is it that you never show the painters and artists district in Shenzhen? Dafen has characteristics that make it unique in the world. There are a few similar ones in other countries but none is like Dafen in Shenzhen. Hope that in future videos all these relevant aspects of Shenzhen are not neglected. By the way, have you ever been there? Shenzhen is not only a great technology city, it's also a great, great culture city and it's very important pointing this out and also promoting Shenzhen in the world as a culture city not only a technology city.

Maria, thanks a lot for your comment, made me interested in visit this city. Imo many Chinese cities is looking spoiled. Like "Ooooh, if Chinese cities is resembling of those in the US, we have made progress". The more skyscrapers, highways etc, the better. The cities of Europe would have been a much better source of inspiration. Maria have a nice day, hi from Sweden

@@stennordenmalm1735 I'm so glad Sten that my comment made you interested in visiting Shenzhen. It's absolutely worthwhile. But China is so "special" and "different" from Western countries that even the biggest Chinese cities have their own personality that make them in certain ways look a little like cities in the American continent but this is not so much so. They always have something peculiar, they have a personaliity that make them differ from the big cities we may know from other continents. One of these peculiarities is that just turning a corner you may be in front of a scene that could be almost a scene of rural China. Any big city in China is full of these adorable contrasts. Tradition and modernity may be present at the same time in a few square meters. Quite fascinating. And as far as art, architecture, design, music, etc., you'll find them almost everywhere, just have a look at Changsha Meixihu International Culture Center in Changsha by Zaha Hadid, at the Zhuhai Opera House, the Chongqing Grand Theatre or at the Guangzhou Opera House also by Zaha Hadid, as well as at all the fantastic public libraries that have been built (by the way, the one in Shenzhen just in front of the Concert Hall and their outsides looking as tween buildings is extremely beautiful, specially insice and last but not least, these public libraries are alwas full of readers). Something not to be missed in Shenzhen is having afternoon tea and then staying to watch the sunset at the "Drawing Room", on the 96th floor of the KK Tower. It's an experience not to be missed, a fantastic 360º view urban on one side and pure nature on the other side. Not tourists at all, except for some guests (but very few) of the hotel whose lobby is there. Guest make their checkin at the 96th floor (quite spectacular) and than are taken to their rooms commencing from the 95th floor. Small cities in China are even more attractive (at least for me) that the big cities. One of my favourite ones is Lijiang in the province of Yunnan, The city is incredibly attractive, some streets are really crowded with tourists but if you walk just a few meters away from this crowd you'll have this true gem just for youself. There is an incredible ancient theater there where Naxi Ancient Music is played with old instruments many of which had been destroyed during the cultural revolution but were after rescued (many were hidden) or reconstructed by the old musicians. Lijiang is at the foothills of Tibetan mountains. In just 30 minutes and taking merely a van you may be sorrounded by high mountains magical lands capes. My favorite mountain spot there is the so called "Blue Moon Valley". Well, I do hope you make up your mind and visit all these gorgeous places and many, many others China has to offer. Just let me tell you that from 2011 throught 2019 I visited China eight times staying 45 days each time and gladly woud go another eight times. I should say that I've been to almost all the American continent (may times), to almost all the European continent (many times), to four countries in Africa and to Australia and New Zealand but no doubt my favourite destination is now China.

@@MariaAlvarez-sm8bv Maria thanks a lot taking your time for this long and interesting comment! So maybee I should change the way I see Chinese cities. But I think the reason is, that many yt videos are showing lots of highways, scyscrapers and so on. You mentioned Zaha Hadid, she is from Iran I think and had created a lot of stunning buildings around the world, nice! I visited China during five weeks a loong time ago, and that was really amazing. But today its very different (not meaning bad or something) So maybee I should go back...

@@stennordenmalm1735 Quite right you are Sten. Big cities in China have become outstanding contemporary places but nothing can be compared with the charm, tradition and "cozyness" of the small villages in rural China. I've visited and/or stayed in some incredible ones in Yunnan and Guangxi provinces. I strongly recommend visiting, for instance, Shaxi in Yunnan (you'll find beautiful videos filmed there) and a stay at a hotel on the Yulong River in Guangxi province. This place is absolutely incredible. There you can ride a bike absolutely alone on quite narrow paths among plants and tiny villages of just a few houses and around those fantastic and so peculiar karst mountains. It's a unique experience, no doubt my favorite one in China. Besides there is the unforgettable and extraordinary bamboo rafting in the Ruling River. Maybe you have already been there. If you haven't just have a look at the Yangshuo Mountain Retreat Hotel, unbelievable charming and they have their own bikes for rent. I do hope you can visit China again and enjoy the calm and charm of these gorgeous rural places.

Its capitalism, individualism and fanaticism that has kept society oppressed and exploited with exponetial increases in disparities and inequalities. Education is the key to a harmonious existence for humanity. However in western nations, the celebration of violence is overwhelmingly fostered in all aspects of life. Beginning with child development, to institutes of education and as entertainment, the affects are apparent. The acceptance of this cultural violence fortifies ignorance, fear and division creating a problematic societal structure. Love to China for the courage to aspire to be the beacon of hope for all humanity. I hope some day all people will come to the rationalization that solidarity through equality and sustainability is achievable when our minds are interlaced with our hearts by means of compassion and empathy. Till that day, choose wisely a lifestyle free of the burdens of cruelty and hate. The courage to acknowledge your own failures while aknowledging other's accomplishments is true freedom.
