China is not at all what we imagined! Today marks our first day in Shanghai, kicking off our month-long journey across the country. Our plan is to not only visit the vibrant and modern cities but also uncover the serene countryside and wander through ancient towns. It’s our first time really exploring China and we're excited to immerse ourselves in its people, cuisine, and culture. Our Shanghai adventure begins with a stroll along the chic Yuyuan Road, a pitstop at an underground food haven suggested by a friendly local, and a visit to the renowned Bund for that classic Shanghai skyline view.

I literally just left Shanghai after a 12 days China tour. China is so clean, so big! And the people are so polite and friendly. The Bund, you see it on RU-vid, on pictures, but nothing like seeing with your own eyes. It is like....staring into the future.

Born and raised in the midwest USA, never in a million years would I believe that this is china until I visited the plant in China. I remember how anxious I was before traveling only to find out that all I knew from the media/everyone (even the church goers) was a big lie. I know the media lies especially in politics but this is a league of it's own.

I am so glad you are traveling China! My family and I were there in 2019. There are over 2800 pairs of bullet trains to get you all over the country quickly (217 mph). Very clean. In the 4-hour ride from Bejing (Great Wall and Forbidden city) to Xian (Terra cotta soldiers) attendants swept 5 times and mopped 4 in our section alone. The nature, culture, temples and carved statues are going to blow your socks off!

Joe Biden is envious of Dictator Xi ( as called by JB) for doing such an excellent job to provide Chinese people and foreigners who live in Shanghai. He laments that US cities are full of homeless people, drug addicts and gun shooters, dirty streets and violence infested cities that the American people are afraid to walk in the streets at night., Compared to Chinese cities where people dance and stroll at night in the park is a contrast to behold. But he is too busy making wars around the world whereas Dictator Xi makes Chinese people happy and peaceful. .

@@richardgadoury8452 if you dont buy an apartment only rent，it would be super comfortable life here，you can find both cheap and expensive lifestyle here depends on how you want to live.public transportation is way cheaper than any countries in Europe and north America.and in Shanghai most wage range from 6k to 20k RMB（1k-3k USD） depends on your skills and work experience，if you can find a job around 12k that would be a nice life here

I was there in 2008 after the earthquake in Chengdu (?). Due to a period of mourning all the lights were out at night and entertainment venues closed. We were so saddened but understood. Really hope I can visit again and see this incredible city. 😊

Hi Flora and Note Welcome back to China. Welcome to your 1ST Day in Shanghai. I had to laugh out loud when Note said it’s so cold and laughed again when Flora said she had 5 layers on because I just checked the weather for today, shows 60 degrees and sunny. That is definitely T-shirt and shorts for me. That street looks amazing and park too. I am so happy that you both joined in and went dancing in the park. Scallion pancake looks yummy. I could tell that Note really enjoyed the thin pork chop after taking his 1ST bite from his reaction. I laughed with Flora when she dropped the bun. Pork yum, crab must be delicious. The other side of the river is PuDong. Comparing to the Bund, it’s like the new China looking at the old China where the historical buildings were built during colonial times. China has come a long way

I never had an interest in seeing China much , I've had a family member that studied in Beijing and some very bad experiences. your vlog has changed my mind and now when we retire to Thailand in a few years, I'm going to Shanghai. People look friendly, food looks awesome, climate is my kind of temp. Love the EVs we own a Tesla Y and we're big believers in the Ezv movement. Hope you guys stay warm . Seems you're struggling a bit with the change in temp from Thailand. Be well and make great memories.❤❤❤

Foreigners in China generally enjoy preferential treatment, especially in the past few years. If you have had a bad experience in China in this situation, I think you should reflect on yourself.

@@PeeJay3714 As a Chinese local, the word "robbed" seems like a word that was only mentioned 20 years ago. Especially in Beijing, this is even more incredible. If your niece seeks help from the police, she will definitely be taken seriously, because the police can quickly locate the robber through CCTV, and this kind of robbery case is easy to detect and has a generous reward for police.
