As an American I fail to see how my country is going to hinder China’s progress for humanity. If I was a younger man I’d move to China.

I was in Xian in May and went to an incredible Tang Dynasty dance and music extravaganza where several courses of dumplings are served during the performance. This ancient city, formerly Chang'an the old capital of China, dates back to neolithic times. Everyone should go there at some time in their life. Keep up your great work, Jason.

terracotta army shows what the Chian is about. They have most advanced civilization, yet they are to "protect China", not to invade other nations like the US lead by anglosaxoon.

My favourite show in Xi'an is definitely the Welcome Chang'an one at Yongning Gate at night. It's such a cool one with the intro at the south side of the gate welcoming you and you follow the actors into the north side of the gate for the sit down show.

Xi'an was the capitol cities for the Zhou, Qin, Han, and Tang Dynasties. In the ancient time, the city was known as Chang'an, which means "Eternal Peace" in Chinese. Chang'an was one of the greatest cities in not just China, but the ancient world. Traces of the city's historical significance and glories can still be seen today, such as the ancient city walls and the Terracotta Warriors. I visited Xi'an about 13 years ago. Back then, they did not have the "Legend of Camel Bells" live show yet. Still, I immediately fell in love with the city's rich history and was awestruck by the Terracotta Warriors. This is the first time I ever heard about the "Legend of Camel Bells" show -- through Jason's video. 🙂 It was very impressive, particularly when the wolves were running through the audience. They must have invested a great deal of effort to train the wolves. The show was another thing about Xi'an -- besides the Terracotta Warriors -- that filled me with astonishment. I wish I could watch it live as well. 😀 "Meanwhile in America..." I can tell people the biggest thing happening in America now, because I am in the country. The country is currently reeling from an unprecedented political shock caused by the president bowing to pressure from his own political party and ending his re-election campaign less than four months before the general election. We are sort of in a big mess now: political mess, economic mess, foreign policy mess, and the uncertainty about which direction the country will take after the election in November. Glad you had a good time. Wish we had more time in Xi'an but we did a side trip to nearby Baoji to visit my sister-in-law's aunt. Besides the terracotta soldiers, we went to an outdoor play and a few other things. Fun times.
