Well I think a space race is actually a good thing. During the 60s people were inspired and strived to go to space out beating the other. This sped up innovation in technology and space exploration. After the race ended, space interest slowed down until recently. Today multiple countries and now companies are planning to explore even more, competing and creating this new race. This new race has brought back space exploration interest greater than it once was compared to the past few decades.

Well the Americans will possibly come along after the Chinese land, and I expect co operation between the two countries, but I doubt it that there will be a Cold War, no one wants another Cold War, this if for Humanity, not for countries interests.
