China's Unstoppable Bullet Train Network | BILLIONS !!
China plans expansion of high-speed railway equal to combined length of next 5 largest countries by network size by 2025. China will extend its high-speed rail network nearly 32 per cent by 2025, roughly equal to the combined length of the next five largest countries by network size, amid an emerging consensus that Beijing is again leaning on infrastructure investment to curb an economic slowdown.
The country also plans to widen use of its Beidou satellite navigation system at home and abroad, while tightening control of transport data, as technological self-reliance and national security have become government work priorities.
China, which has the world’s largest high-speed railway network, will expand its length to 50,000km by 2025, 12,000km longer than the end of 2020, according to the new five-year transport plan issued on Tuesday by the State Council, the country’s cabinet.
China railway network
As of 2021, the country had more than 150,000 km (93,206 mi) of railways, the second longest network in the world. By the end of 2021, China had more than 40,000 kilometres (24,855 miles) of high-speed rail (HSR), the longest HSR network in the world.

Sounds all very nice, but in reality it's built on massive debts, most highspeed railways are operating at a considerable operating loss. And most ordinary Chinese or 99,99% can't travel by highspeed rail as ticket prices are unreachable high for the average Chinese person. Let alone that most people with negative Social CRedit Ratings are simply banned from travelling through China including the use of domestic flights and highspeed rail. So it looks all impressive, but it's mostly propaganda blingbling ....

The reason why the Chinese government doesn't consider the loss of operating High speed rail is that each year , high speed rail drives more than one billion people across the country, and the economic growth behind this far exceeds the losses incurred by hsr operations. However foreign companies privately owned , and they will not sacrifice their own interest for the reasons of national economic development. Therefore the success of China's HSR won't be replicated in terms of both construction scales or ticket prices in Western countries easily. ... ❤️🇨🇳🇮🇳 ....

I believe I have read that actually china's railway system is profitable because of its huge population unlike other countries with a short network and much smaller population. So just because other countries railways are making a loss doesn't mean china's railway is similarly making a loss. It is not. It is profitable.

@@leesgtk8969 Yeah, it's just one of those anti-China propaganda/badmouthing that the western media regularly puts out so outside people will have a very bad impression of China. Unfortunately there are a lot of stupid people who just accepts/believe those things without questioning it. I was one of those until this covid pandemic came in and being trapped at home, I spent 2 years reading up on everything and not confining myself to the western media. It was an enlightening process.

A lot of people are unimpressed and are like, "meh!" to the chinese high speed rail. They just don't understand how impressive china built it so fast and cheap. Being a construction engineer, i'm amazed. China and california started at about the same time in building their high speed rail in 2008, China now has 40,000km of HSR while California which plans to connect San francisco and LA (380 mi) still has to lay a mile of track. If americans can't imagine the length of 40,000km (24,400 mi), they should know that the longest point from west coast to the east coast is 3,500 mi. The chinese have already built the equivalent of 7 parallel 2-way lines going west to east ciast. The California HSR target date of operational service between Silicon Valley and the Central Valley is by late 2031, and that service between Los Angeles and San Francisco will be operational in 2033. By that time, china would have almost completed their ultimate plan of having 70,000km of HSR as their target date to finish it is 2035.

I've been to the Beijing Train Port and caught a Bullet Train to Shanghai. The Beijing Train Port looked like an International Airport. I’m not going to reference my comment here as to whether or not China is losing millions and millions of dollars each year with the building and operation of it’s HSR rail system. To be quite frank, I really don’t care. This is not a political channel, nor is it a channel to analyze foreign government investments. To those that do leave negative comments pertaining to politics or investments, thank you for the laughs! I thank Reporterfy Media & Travel for each and every episode produced and presented on China to it’s dedicated subscribers. Your dedication and hard work have brought amazing and unbelievable sights and facts before us, that we would otherwise never know about, or ever see. China has worked to create the most modern rail system in the world, and they should be recognized for all their efforts. If one day I should ever visit China, I’d look forward to riding on one of these Bullet Trains, given that there has never been any rail system nearby to travel on, where I have lived my entire life. Alex, I have been waiting for this video. The high-speed rail is truly a modern-day miracle of construction. Its network is bigger than the rest of the world combined and was built just in the last 14 years. This has enabled China to catapult its domestic travel to the highest level with the largest migration of humanity annually during the spring festival celebrations. Many of its stations are beautiful architectural wonders and their trains are the fastest, quietest, smoothest, and cheapest among all nations of the world. Alex, you always bring us the most interesting videos with amazing narration and drone shots. I can't wait for the next one. Can I suggest a video on the Electric Vehicle revolution in China? Not only is this going to be a huge green solution to the polluting ICE vehicles but China is truly leading this revolution. Many predict that by the end of this decade, 80% of all vehicles sold in the world will be made by Chinese EV companies. Legacy auto companies in Japan, Korea, America, and Europe will be extinct like dinosaurs because ICE manufacturing will dry up. Already China has some of the world's best electric vehicle companies in terms of design, technology, drivability, and value, from the most basic to the most luxurious cars.

Chinese high speed rail is a public service. And a public service is ok to operate with loss, like the subway systems in every city in every country are operating with loss.
@jeiuanne331
@jeiuanne331 2 года назад
Yes this is true, but you can not operate with such a big loss that it is negatively affecting your country's GDP. For example, the HSR line to Urumqi: what a stupid idea. Are you serious? That line is so useless.
@lizhongshen
@lizhongshen 2 года назад
@@jeiuanne331 the loss is NOT big and is NOT affecting GDP negatively. Overall debt on balance sheet is about $1 trillion dollars, China can easily fill the hole by printing $1 trillions. Do you know how much money U.S. printed since pandemic and what U.S. people get from these many trillions of dollars? If China needs to boost economy in next 5 years, it would build more HSR.

In the US, we have slow speed rail and crappy rail stations. The stations are dirty, poorly lit, unsafe, and staffed with lazy people. Outside of most stations, there are homeless bums and drug addicts sleeping or getting high on the sidewalks. If you are not careful, you may step on human feces that is scattered all over the sidewalk. At night, you’d better not going any where near the stations in the downtown areas. It is unsafe there. Not only that our trains here are slow compared to the Chinese trains, the tickets are also extremely expensive. I wouldn’t call Acela “high speed”. Acela is slow compared to China’s high speed rail but it costs much more.

Even though, maxium 2 weeks after finishing, it will be collapsed totally. Canada workers work 8 hours per day, but among these hours, 3 hours for eating, 3 hours for coffee time , 1 hour for arguing speaking English or French, and maxium 1 hour for working. High-speed rail fares in China are very cheap. Take Beijing-Guangzhou's G65 economy class as an example, the whole journey is 300km/h (recently upgraded to 350km/): Beijing - Shijiazhuang, $18.90, 281km, $0.067/km Beijing - Zhengzhou, $45.44, 693km, $0.066/km Beijing - Wuhan, $76.54, 1229km, $0.062/km Beijing - Changsha, $95.44, 1591km, $0.060/km Beijing - Guangzhou, $126.76, 2298km, $0.055/km The above prices are based on 1 USD: 6.8 RMB.

This huge network makes so much sense now. How much oil would have to be used if those 2 billions more passengers had to take airplanes, intercity buses or personal cars to travel. It is the result of a long term energy security plan. Alex can make a video about those huge hydro power projects and solar power stations in western China, Also the hyper high voltage power transmission system from west to east.
