"I've never had caviar so this is a first experience for me" Sorry to tell you, you still haven't had it. Salmon "caviar" is actually roe, it's a caviar substitute. Fish eggs are called roe, unless it's from sturgen, then it's caviar. All fish eggs are roe, but not all roe is caviar.
