I’ve seen this happen a few times when we had a Deja Vu clone in Georgia. Every time it happened they evacuated the train before switching the ride to manual mode, jogging the catcher back up and releasing the train so that it could return to the station. Then 10 successful test runs had to be completed before they would allow guests to board again.
I read this string of comments before watching the video and was expecting to hear an endless stream of profanity or something that would make me have to cut off my ears. I'm still trying to figure out what was wrong with this video - it was hilarious and never crossed a line. And your comments were tame compared to what most people would be saying in the same situation. Keep up the videos, Robb. I've been following for 8 years!
I was in Shanghai for a holiday back in June last year and I remember passing this rollercoaster while I was on the highway beside it! how i wish i could have ride it!
Actually, only one was removed from the US. The originals were Deja Vu at SFMM, SFOG and SFGAm. The one at SFMM now operates at SFNE, the one at SFGam now operates at Silverwood and the only one that was removed from the US was the one at SFOG which is in storage at Mirabilandia, Brazil.
Deja Vu has been around since 2001. It had tons of mechanical problems from the start and was usually broken down. The one at Six Flags Great America was taken out after 5 years
I would love to join your team. I am jealous that you get to try all these coasters and rides, but the fact that you share your experiences with all of us makes up for it. Thank you. This one was great! :)
This is *EXACTLY* my demeanor (or at least that's what I try for.) We are very professional in everything we do, but we don't take crap from anyone. Don't have the time or patience for bullshit. If you all want us to keep producing videos, organizing tours, and running the website, etc, we just simply don't have the time stupid, pointless crap. They removed the Deju Vu from Six Flags Great America because it did exactly what happened in this video too many times. Plus this ride is scary as shit because when you are going backwards you only have the nut strap keeping you on the ride. This is the only ride I have ever been on where I have felt legitimately scared after I got off.

SHISTARS • yes the Goliath and the AFTERSHOCK are twins the originals both formally known as Déjà vu, they had another twin as well a third one but that one is not looking to be ever ran again since its closing in 2006, it has been sitting in a Brazil theme parks storage for years and has been taken care of not at all, but these three were the originals the aftershock is now in Athol Idaho and the Goliath is now in New England, this design has now been copied, the only one that’s different from all the others is the aftershock because silverwood has modified it, it now is longer bigger and better as well as it now has amazing new technology to make it run better, it has since not gotten stuck or had problems like that

You probably already know this, but I'm mentioning it for those who don't know and are too lazy to look it up. This is what's known as a Giant Inverted Boomerang, a taller and inverted version of Vekoma's Boomerang model (Vekoma makes both rides). This is one of five installations. Four are currently in operation, and two are at their original sites.

Btw, If I had money, i would put one in my backyard...assuming I can get past all the legalities and land codes and all that. I love this ride and It sucks that Ill have to go to another state just to ride it.
And the same coudn't have happened at another location? They moved the ride to another park and fixed it over there instead of just fixing it at the original park? O.o
LOL! In life and in business, it's usually not worth the effort to try to please a tiny minority of whiners. They cost too much and you ultimately don't need them. Just keep doing your thing and it will attract the right crowd.
I'm sorry if I missed it, but was the part that was "not the way it's supposed to go", the breaking at the end (probably should have rolled in faster and then braked? This is the first such coaster I've seen.
