After being convinced by @Otterpartsnl that Chinese Diesel Heaters are the best thing ever I ordered one as well.
It's an '8'KW version from Vevor that was installed into a metal/aluminium enclosure.
It's currently running on petroleum as I still had a big jerrycan full of the stuff.
The cold startup was cheated a bit, it takes about 2mins from power on to running at the intended power setting (P-05 in this case)
I used a 12V/20A PSU from a 3D printer, it's not waterproof, but the CDH is parked in a dry location and the PSU is installaed at an angle, so hopefully that drains any moisture.
I've already received a 2nd 10L fuel tank that can be installed next to the other one.
Other future modifications are a 12V PC fan to exhaust the hot air from the enclosure and I'll probably add a fuel heating system at a later point so it can burn a diesel/waste oil mix.
