I liked it. I hope we get more folktales. I don't know if I would say arrogant, vanity yes. It just shows the mindset of the people. The people value skin color and prefer light skin. It's an infatuation worth studying and I appreciate the straightforwardness. In my culture we teach, "to move forward, you have to know where you come from." Understanding this infatuation with light skin can help people appreciate health over vanity. In my culture we teach, "the darker the skin, the deeper the roots". Meaning the darker the roots, the closer to God's original image. We are very proud to have dark skin because it shows good health, good genes, the beginning. It seems the value of light skin comes from the Dragon people. My guess is they came into contact with the dark skinned indigenous Chinese 5,000 years ago, conquered them as they did the Indigenous in ancient Europe, and promoted a hierarchy based on skin color. Plus the folktale has similarities with many Black and African folktales. It's very interesting. Thank you for sharing. You don't like snakes? Why? Snakes are good.
Ooo, and the folktale might also line up with history. The darker Indigenous people were created first, then the really pale skinned Dragon people came next, then the biracial or mixed tan children of the dark skinned and pale skinned people as the final product. Maybe it's a folktale to explain how the people became mixed...... Plus, it's cool they kept the Indigenous creator God as female. Darker skinned indigenous are typically described as matriarchal. The patriarchal societies typically invaded and conquered matriarchal societies erasing the female gods.
Nah i don’t see it that way. I respect anybody from any ethnic background who has high level of self esteem , self belief & see themselves as superior in a sense of them wanting to do really well in life ✅ But that’s just my opinion , I understand life from their prospective on that aspect.
It's normal. Nothing wrong with it. It's actually the funniest myth I ever heard, I'm going to tell people when I'm drinking, hahaha! Is there some ancient reason that the Chinese disrespect non-Chinese Asians? And why are the Hakka 客家 not considered as a real Chinese?
The ancient Greeks had a very similar belief. They thought the people to the north were too light and the people to the south were too dark while the Greeks were just right.
As a teenager, I thought the same thing about us Indians. Today, I don’t believe everyone is the same - that’s obviously not true. But everyone has strengths and flaws and its very often not even related to biology.
@UH7RJD9A374-JG Apollo was a Roman God BTW. Greeks never felt "inferior" to others. There is even a popular ancient Greek saying: "ΠΑΣ ΜΗ ΕΛΛΗΝΩΝ ΒΑΡΒΑΡΩΣ" Translation: Anyone who isn't Greek is a barbarian. It was mostly about the culture, technology, habits, and civilization in general they compared themselves with other cultures. Not about hair colours...
I always thought it was the ancient Romans who had this belief; that people with SLIGHT SHADES of melanin were better than everyone else, where as people who came from the north and the south (Africans) were all barbarians and savages, but yeah... I don't believe it was Greece who thought this...? I think you're thinking of Rome. I've seen some videos on it... "What Romans thought about race"- Search that through the RU-vid search bar, and you'll likely find the video where I saw them touching on this.
This Ethnically Superior thing happens in every culture. The Indian has Hindutva . the German has Nazism and even here in the Western sphere most whites think they are superior to anyone that isn't white. . So the narrator is only generalizing with his own opinion.
i'm from a carribbean country, the british brought in labor from china to cut sugar cane but the chinese couldn't handle the hard labor, they ended up bringing in indians from india to replace them. This happened in trinidad, jamaica and guyana. The chinese ended up being shopkeepers. Every group has their strenghts/weaknesses.
Interesting thing is the same story is told to us in India, and Chinese weren't even considered in this story and in my case it was literally told in my school......they are literally teaching racism
Yeah, Indian culture is pathetically racist. They remind me a lot of those people we cannot talk about anymore without being accused of being "anti" this or "anti" that.
Its not built into people at all. Do you have any idea how much humanity has been migrating, mixing and learning from others ? Literally from the dawn of time. Id argue throughout history, nationhood and culture has been more important than a paticular ethnicity. And as we all know, culture doesn't have to be associated with a ethnicity, as people can adopt and pass down different cultures.
@@SimpleMinded221 Despite different races existing for 200,000 years there has often been very little mixing, and when races mix with other races it is usually closely related races mixing. They have done brainscans on people, race is important. He was in the news lately. But when OJ Simpson was on trial many people were very happy when he was found "not guilty" because he "was one of us." Despite it being obvious he was a killer.
@@RichardCranium. "Despite different races existing for 200,000 years there has often been very little mixing" History doesnt agree with you even a little bit on this one. Your last statement is filled with so much copium I can tell you are just a racist.
We have almost identical origin story for the Bisaya people of Philippines, and the difference of ethnicities, hahaha except ours is mud, not sand, and the primordial god is not a snake god, just a regular god.
In the cultures and traditions of the Ngo ( = the Black Sun), they explain the origins of the differents mahanza( metaverse), and they explain how the different skin tones comes from the different frequencies, you don't perceive the same color because people don't vibrate at the same frequencies....They also knew about ndombiki (eumelanin, the melanin that absorbs sunlight and enables the connection to the Ngo) And some are there...baking people...ok.
The tale of the Serpent from various cultures always intrigues me. I find it very intresting that people from the east say that they are descendents of the Dragon. A tale of 2 dragons stretching across seas, the first Serpent being the most divine and ultimately the ruler of the land gave birth to 2 through a woman. (So the tale goes...) The twin dragons represent duality in morality and view the world on opposite ends. From the east to the west the familes sit at the throne of humanity placing themselves kings and rulers of the world in thier fathers name.... There father is here within the earth and spites humanity because of thier current state of existence. The Serpent is powerless to destroy humanity on it's own it must use humanity to destroy itself.
The first humans were not really "black people." They did have dark skin but were a common ancestor all humans had. Genetically even a European and Asian are more closely related to each other then this dark skinned human common ancestor is to modern Africans.
Yeah the Nazi party also had a similar belief system until the Olympic track meet. And we all know who won that. 😂😂😂 Imagine that ride home with a more than usually upset furor.
@jsc3417 yeah but they rarely compete in anything other than war. Israel is one of those place that I used to want to visit, like Mexico. Now, I'd rather visit the south side of Chicago
I’m a “Black Man” & I respect any body from any ethnic background who has a high level self esteem in seeing themselves as superior in a sense of striving for excellence in life 👏🏾 You can’t go wrong or be mad at that at all especially if you wanna be a winner in your life. I have also heard that “Joke” before to I remember it getting told to me in kids school growing up by a few of My Chinese Class mates 😆👏🏾. Keep up the channel ✅.
@reckszkingzactivitiesfkat.4134: As one who has often out witted people from allegedly superior cultures this crap would be funny if there wasn't so much destructive and murderous history behind it. Claiming racial or ethnic superiority worked well for the nazis and lots of others, hasn't it? Once you start believing in that, you underestimate others, overestimate yourself and your people, and are incapable of correcting faults which emanate from your group or accepting criticism from outsiders. You are also headed directly into endless conflict with those outsiders who do not accept your innate right to dominate or to control them. One could ask why so many millions have fled allegedly superior Asian and European cultures for hundreds of years. One could question the genius involved in using law and technology in places like India and China to favor producing male offspring to the degree that both nations are suffering shortages of marriageable women with which to product families of future entitled geniuses. But let's forget all that and a lot more along the same lines and keep swilling the cultural superiority Kool-Aid.
@@dpeasehead Bruh! I have had the exact same thoughts you just laid out! Being underestimated because I’m a brother has helped me get over so many times I can’t even count. I have been able to use that to outwit even a sitting judge on a civil case I won! You are so right it’s not even funny.

I’m glad you mentioned that about the name of China in the Chinese language. That tells you a lot. Lol. I think it’s important for a nation, a people, to feel a sense of importance about themselves. It’s part of self love. Granted, that can be taken too far.
@@jsc3417 mongols, japanese, vietnamese and the europeans to name a few. Only advantages the chinese have is their numbers but they get whoop by smaller armies.
If asians REALLY knew why they have some african genetics or if they were introduced to and found out about the san people or who was really descendants of attila the hun.
Very interesting. I find China a very interesting culture. I’ve done a fair amount of business in China, still have a few years left on my 10 year visitor visa and have many good Chinese friends. Very smart and industrious people. Now I’m retired to Thailand with my Thai wife and no intentions of returning to the West. I think every culture has its lore as to why they are superior. Maybe someday we humans will evolve beyond this nonsense and just see each other as people.
All I know is as an African native, I can stand in the sun for 6 hours straight and at most be uncomfortable. No Chinese national can survive the same feat. Will leave it at that.
Who cares, can you survive extreme cold like the Siberians? Hell nah! Native Americans (descendants of Siberians) are the superior humans, they survived the coldest regions (Siberia) and the hottest regions (Death Valley). Your ancestors in Sub-Saharan Africa had it easy, bountiful fruit, vegetables, plants, animals to eat.
@@Oneandonly1225 your arrogance precedes you and you can seethe as a result. The point being every group of people have genetic advantages that benefit their survival. Mine and my people have the ability to survive harsh, inhospitable climes that few can. Something you and your people can never do. And your people aren't the monopolists of intelligence also. And you are very welcome to do the sun bathe challenge with me anytime.
I was married to a Chinese national for 15 years. My Chinese in-laws when they first met me in the mid-90s were shocked by how dark I was (I'm African American). They thought I was Arab or Indian (as did many Chinese when I was in China multiple times). Their daughter was very light in skin coloration and they were very proud of that. I would often draw crowds of people in smaller communities as if they've never seen a Black person before (I think it was more curiosity than racism). Some wanted to take pictures with me, touch my hair and skin. My wife didn't like it during the times she was with me. It was the same with our daughter after she was born. My in-laws were concerned about how dark their grand daughter might be, and I was concerned if they would treat her poorly as a consequence. They were very doting grandparents and bragged to everyone that she was half American (not half Black). Being American (or any foreign devil) had/has great value in China (similar to white privilege I guess).
Honestly H.P Lovecraft would have been a perfect man if not for his racism. He truly acknowledged the cosmic insignificance of humanity that his books ended with the Earth being destroyed. To me his racism made him allow a group of people live rent free in his head which countered the the points he was trying to get across. Which is how cosmically insignificant we are. Each and every one of us. Even in a world with gods.
@@TheREALExposingtheJoyofS-px3riplenty of demented self loathing jews exist, H.P lovecraft isn't a left wing symbol in Israel to this day for nothing.
This is hilarious. Also didnt knew Italy went to China eat dumplin, liked it, then couldnt copy it but replicate something different. This is interesting.
Well, that’s a joke told in China, I don’t think it’s the actual case, but Marco Polo did travel to China and the Chinese dumplings 🥟 have been around long before pizza 🍕

The Naga origin is all over Asia. Vietnamese are particularly proud of it. Even in the Philippines where Spain erased all the ancient history, we still have a place named Naga where they make amazing swords. There's definitely something to the myth. Black people, White people, and a lot of Native Americans share many similarities. But Asian people are so very different. It's more than cultural, too. I've met a lot of Asians adopted by White people. Even though they were White-washed, they still had a lot of Asian behaviors.
There is no such thing call Naga in Vietnamese mythology or folklore. In Vietnam, we only have the Eastern dragon where we originally from. Our dragon is slightly different from China one. There is 3 versions of dragon in Vietnam. 1st version is similar to Chinese but it got just 1 horn that looks like rhino horn, and each leg has 3 toes. 2nd version Dragon has 2 deer horns each legs have 4 toes, and slim body. 3rd version has 2 deer horn, bigger head, round eyes, and 5 toes.
@@Abuhan47 Yeah, haha! In the Vedas there's a war between the eagle (garuda) people and the snake (naga) people. The naga almost got wiped out permanently. White versus Asian world war like 10,000 years ago? White people do look kind of like birds. Asian people do look kind of serpentine. Indian myth claims that the nagas helped guide mankind. But they don't claim ancestry from them like Asian people do. They say that nagas are still around in some kind of undergound world. And a lot of Indians really believe its true.
@@chithiennguyen1371 It's substitutable with dragon blood. My one friend was really about that stuff. Well, more than one. Snake, dragon, basically same idea.
As a Chinese, I'm still glad that I am Chinese. Even with parents who spent little to no time on me as I grew up, I still got straight A's and still became and engineer. I still made money and did well. I'm not saying Chinese are "superior," but the Chinese culture makes me do better (than if I were of another culture).
My Asian wife also told me this same story - that when god baked all the humans into existence in the great oven - some got burnt, some were undercooked and some (Asians) came out perfectly cooked. And as my wife is absolutely perfect, I believe it.
I heard this same story in Korea. But I made a new, more truthful, version: When making mankind the Chinese were the ones manning the ovens (labor). They overcooked some batches (darker people, didn't follow instructions) and the rest were white. And the Chinese were yellow because they worked with the hot ovens all day : )
We also have this almost exact foklore of being too cooked and undercooked in the Philippines. We would consider East Asians as undercooked too like the Whites lmao. Southeast Asians are the just right.
Dumplings to pizza? Nah! Dumplings to ravioli? That's more likely. Also, where did tomatoes, potatoes, squash, chocolate, and hot chilies come from? The New World!
Ok, my side have a slightly altered version, it says the first time the goddess create humans, she used the earth element more , thats why first batch human the blacks are like earth , strong but mind a bit slow. Then the second batch the goddess put more of the heaven element in it, but the whites mind are fast( smart) but like the sky ,it is unpredictable, too wild. So the last batch is a mix of both, earth and heaven essence combine and create the yellow people, nothing extra ordinary, but balance.
In a way it seems true. Look at the Chinese culture and virtue. Fair elegance beauty. Just food alone, so many varieties and yummy. Fried or steamed or boiled.
One should always take pride in their own community, whether it's their birth family or those with shared interests. If we acted like Olympic competitors and supporters, there would be no hunger or poverty. The issue arises when pride turns into systemic racism. For example, in America, a Black man who builds a drug empire is labeled a criminal and ends up on the FBI's Most Wanted list, while a white man in the same position is celebrated as a CEO and millionaire, landing on Forbes' richest list. Both drugs are highly addictive and harmful, yet one is called a narcotic and the other pharmaceutical. Despite being chemically similar, they receive very different treatment: one results in long prison sentences, the other in lifelong prescriptions. The Black man, Frank Lucas, is known as "American Gangster," while the white man, Richard Sackler of Purdue Pharma, is celebrated for his company.
(Han) Chinese literally called their neighbors barbarians North beidi (mongols and khitans) East dongyi. (Koreans, jurchens, Japanese) South Nan man (Vietnamese and Thai) West Xirong (Uighurs, gokturks, and Tibetans)
In the grand scheme of things. When you look back in the different cultures. The vast majority of them believe in some Goddess that they worship. All except one. Which are the Hebrews and Israeltites. This is why i believe Most cultures and countries laws are so gynocentric at it's core. Including Islam, which was created by the Catholic Church for those who didn't or don't know. .
Arrogant? We moved from USA to Taiwan and enrolled my kids in a local school. My kids had been in Chinese Immersion in the USA and had very good mainland Chinese and Taiwan teachers. We are not Chinese. My son entered the 2nd grade in Taiwan and was the top student - by far. When they had their first set of tests I was sitting next to another parent when the kids came out. My son was running around chasing girls. The mother's daughter brought her 3 test papers to show her Mom. Mom asked who got the high score in math. Daughter answered with my son's name and pointing to him running. Keep in mind I had no idea of my son's performance at this point - so this was news to me. Then the Mom asked about the Chinese test. Daughter shrugged and said my son's name - like "of course it is him." The Mom's face fell off. The last paper - science, etc. - the daughter said my son's name again with "of course it is him, dummy" attitude. The next time they had tests my so had to sit next to the teacher as parents accused him of cheating. Of course, he was top student again. How can someone get 100 cheating of of kids getting 80s? Must be a real genius. And keep in mind my son had studied simplified characters in USA school - and had to switch to traditional in an instant. The teacher said he could easily go into 3rd grade. After this incident, I spoke out loud to this Mother and some others with lines like "My son got one wrong because he never studied traditional characters" or "Dang, my son got 10 wrong this year. In USA, he only got 2 wrong the whole year." or "My son thought Chinese kids would be smarter than him and worried he wouldn't do well. He never dreamed he would be the top student." Yah, I have fun when I can : )
I've never really understood the Chinese obsession with being White. As White is genetically inferior. It's the easiest to genetically erase. And, it's the easiest to age and have the most difficulty reproducing, which makes sense giving it's genetic inferiority. However. On the other hand i can understand why they obsess in a sense. When you look back in history. For every time period where the different races were the superpower. That particular race was viewed as being the most attractive and most beautiful race at the time because of it's connection to wealth and power. Hence why throughout the ages, beauty standards have always changed.
It's very healthy to prefer/love your own people the most. Personally, I like ethnic diversity. Blonde/Ginger Hair and Blue Eyes however, is rare in our world, and because of how much they love freedom and liberty - I think they should be protected as much as possible
funny thing is, is that many chinese are as "white" or light/fair skin as the fairest european. they have found caucasian mummies in the china and inner mongolia.
The mummies were Celtic, too. 6' tall Whites with Celtic clothes and ornaments. It's fascinating. Not too far from Xinjiang, right? And in the mountains of Pakistan there is a town of all White people who don't look Paki/Indian at all. They're called Hunza, and they live 100 years on average.
WHEN ALLAH CREATED MAN, HE TOLD ANGEL GABRIEL TO GO TO EARTH AND PICK UP SAND. ANGEL GABRIEL PICKED UP SAND FROM ALL THE BEACHES OF THE WORLD. THAT WHY YOU HAVE SO MANY SKINTONES.
In a way this is kinda true. In the past Chinese civilization was the most dominant civilization one earth and most Chinese were the tallest, strongest and most dominant race on earth. Confucius was probably 7 feet tall and Chinese were the smartest in the ancient world with the world best military. It has been proven that if the Chinese dynasties has not been unified or if the northern Chinese dynasties had not been attacked by the Steppe people then China would have industrialized as early as the 1200s and Asians could have been much more taller and the world would have been run by Asians. In past other cultures and civilizations adored, admired and respected Chinese culture and people and by extension other Asian people and their cultures. We need to go back to a time when Asians were on top.
