My dad was from the Caribbean. He always had 2 jobs. His p/t job was a cook. He never ate out. If we went out tea n toast and fruits oranges n grapes only. He only allowed my mom n me to cook for him. My siblings all failed his cook test (on purpose). I don't like a tongue lash. His porridge 2-3 hours to make. You stirred that pot until your arm fell off. Nothing fried, spicy, rice or chicken. I would never let me talk him out to eat. He was a pain to cook for I miss those crazy days. 😊Blessing to your granddad. Hope he doesn't get sick😂

Mayonaise Chicken, never seen that at any Chinese place, buffet, whether, nah just nahh. And I'll even eat mayo bread(a slice of white bread with mayo on it), but hot mayo all over chicken. (though overall the opther items looked better than most Chinese food buffets And the wontons "It looks like somebody else's asshole... mine looks better" good lord Gramps lmao

Ur grandpa is now my grandpa 🫡 I trust he’s opinions on this now but regardless if given another chance to go id probably still get what iv always had with was just the lil chicken nuggets and diced seasoned potatoes and maybe a third option of anything else besides the main two idk maybe bc of my autism I tend to go for the “ easy” option and venture out from time to time.
