I've only seen orange chicken with thick breading like that in American Chinese restaurants. I've had a Tangerine chicken dish from a Hunan place once, but it was much lighter and I don't remember much breading.
Love that you try different foods. Food always depends on where you buy it... not all JA cook the same & certainly not all restaurants... from the looks alone, the food look dry & the oxtail need gravy. **Patties are not fried, they're baked Chinese Grandpa- you are the g.o.a.t for trying the foods and we thank you for your ratings 😀
