I think it's very impressive. I know from my studies of Asian cultures that most countries (i.e. Japan, S. Korea, China) do daily or weekly exercises together as groups. Most of the students enjoy it and it's an ingrained part of their culture. There isn't anything bootcamp or slave like about it. I wish our American schools could get off their butts and get our kids moving like the Asian countries do. I find it beautiful that they are so in sync.
+Lena Batts -- Sometime democracy and freedom are bullshit! Only if U have money & powder U could get. 1949--1978 for Chinese farmerworkerlabor lowclasses were golden ages.
To have be exact, EAST Asian countries and don't forget Singapore, although it is located in South East Asian it is a Confucian-based society like Korea, Japan and China.
Lena Batts … those countries you mentioned are the East Asian. IQ and RACE. Looks like the higher IQ you have, the more discipline you get. Try doing that in my school in the States - mission impossible.
This isn't dance. In China, schools all have some sort of physical exercise in mid morning after 2 hours of class. It starts in the first grade and continues through high school. This is more of a glorified version of that, probably for the purpose of video taping, or it might have been a competition of some sort between different grades.
People who are foreign to this don't understand. They think it's like a bootcamp there. The children voluntarily do this, and most of them enjoy this. It's part of their culture.
Better that than being subjected to bad influence growing up. So many kids, youth live a life of crime, drugs, all the wrong habits picked up from wrong people they follow. Keep kids out of jail, off drugs, encourage them to be somebody.
I Envy them. I Wish I were allowed to do that. In my American Middle School, the only "break" we get is a 22 minute lunch time. Gym class is the only physical activity we get (not counting getting from class to class) and for most kids in my school, It's 45 minutes every other school day. Wow these cultures are different! I really hope to explore them when I'm older and learn more about the world!
It's part of my precious life. Generally we would not so serious about this, classmates do exercise as well as talking with each other and you have to pay attention to your teacher would come and remind your manners. That's so funny
Can you imagine how long ( if ever) it would take for any high-school here to set themselves up in this order. Lol. Never happen let alone then learn a dance.
This is a class doing some very basic kung fu moves. Its very popular in China. They call it 'Wu Shu' and anywhere you go, when you pass by schools, there will be huge groups of people practicing. Its a very popular activity there.
It's fantastic! Take up a notch..play instruments while their coordinated moves are in action!! Saint John's High School, the Band played instruments as they marched in coordinated manuvers.❤
It's way more complex than the morning exercise we did in our secondary education more than 40 years ago. We only did some basic stretching. This appears more fun too.
Seriously? Why you gotta compare countries? It will only create conflict. The US has good parts and China has good parts. Accept it; none of them are perfect nor better than the other. (also for some context I'm not from the US or China so don't call me nationalist or whatever.)
hah,no I don't. actually, every primary school, middle school and high school students have to do this kind of morning dance and classes breaks dance every work day, but only for health, and every school have its style.
Can you imagine the wining from the spoiled little American kids if they all had to dress alike and actually participate in physical activity? They’d have to put their phones and game boxes down. That would be cruel punishment and someone would sue the school.
The reason we do not see many overweight Chinese is not because of lifestyle or regimen. It's genetic. East Asians on average have lower BMI, as well as lower muscle and bone mass, than Westerners. On top of that, Chinese people tend to develop fat internally, so that even a morbid diabetic on a dialysis machine looks in good shape.
Unlike the Europeans, Chinese had never practised colonisation policies by invading & uccupied neibouring nations. All they want is to live in peace & be left to mind their own business. But I agree that Chinese must retaliate if any nation dares to invade into the rights.
We did that when I was in elementary. The boys would do this kung fu show while the girls do this ballerina show. It was required but they never forced it on us. We didn’t have to do it if our parents didn’t sign this agreement. And I never found it anything like a boot camp or anything.
@temple400 there is a Chinese saying, when a friend come, there will always good wine waiting. When wolves come, there will always a hunting rifle waiting.
With bunches of 年级组长, 学生处长, 体育老师, and 班主任 adding to the farce. I used to follow the very tune and movements, which I regard it as exceptionally creepy.
Yup that brings me back. What a dumb thing to do in the morning. Not having to do this synchronized robotic shit is the only silver lining of a rainy day. Hope kids in 2019 have it better.
After i went to China I heard Some place have moderns, factory , villages. China almost has poor places for some odd reason q.q But im glade to be chinese :D i can understand But rn My mum is crazy about this o.o shes looking at me and singing it 😂😂
haha, thats only chinese high school students doing morning exercise. every chinese high school students need do morning exercise together everyday, but this school's exercise is very funny
Is this classroom break, or morning exercises? In case if you don't know, Chinese students have morning exercises every school day, where they line up and... do these.
fyi, the purpose of this seeming stupidity, is for the mind of the participant to accept orders...to accept information...to accept purpose of the group...i'm willing to bet it works...critical thought though is hammered out of the individual.
Humans are probably ants to some bigger being like i could imagine us thinking we‘re big but we‘re actually really tiny like from above we look like little swarms of ants
