True, her voice and the way she speaks Korean is even better than the Korean girl, whose voice sounds awful, so whiny, annoying. The Japanese girl has a very thick Japanese accent.
I go to a Chinese huge supermarket and I buy a lot of original Chinese ramen, they're super tasty!! I haven't tried Kang shifu because it is pretty expensive, but next time I'll get one of those. There're also a lot of Korean and Japanese ramens, specially those super spicy Korean ones, but the funny thing is that I've never seen a Cup Noodle ramen xD
Fam u really should, I can assure you that (personally) it's worth the money (not sure why it's expensive for you though, it's below 3 SGD like most proper-sized instant ramens at where I live... perhaps it's due to import costs and all?)
@@sunshineli9949 yea I wouldn’t pay top dollar for kang shifu, unless you really miss the taste or just curious to try. The one I am ok to eat is cup chicken flavor and cup dry noodle (spicy one).
watch out ,jane is a lier! in China , no Instagram at all because Chinese are being forbidden by China Gov from using Google,RU-vid,Twiter,Insagram,Facebook...etc..! Then Chinese people absolutely don't know what's Instagram at all and there is aslo no pronunciation at this word! This chinese girl(Jane) had telling lies absolutely that she said Chinese reffer Instagram as "INS" ,which was made-up by her! may be she did that for some covering up of something about China Official.... ! as a Chinese I hate this Chinese girl for she brought world the lies and falsehood!!! don't put her on the show again! PLUS: Only very few Chinese people are capable of using VPN or other technological means to access youtube , and accessing youtube in China is Violating The Law and there is great risk of getting caught and arrested by Chinese Police. here in the comment section there are also some Chinese-Pinks tricking the world(I supposed they are funded by the Chinese gov) ! I believe they know it and play dumb here . Yeah, the Chinese word "油you 管guan = oil pipetube = youtube" did exist in China but only for a short-term long time ago, that was only before 2009 when the Chinese gov hadn't already built the firewall whice would isolate chinese people from the out-world!
Kang's braised beef noodles is red because it's braised beef red, not spicy red. The flavour is aimed at the overall Chinese market, because not all Chinese can handle spicy food
Chinese foods mostly have that 'pleasant savory taste', that kind of taste it's called 'Umami' in Japanese. Meanwhile, Korean loves spicy, like they really obsessed with spiciness.
YES RIGHT. i'm Chinese but not all of us like spicy food or can eat spicy food due to health reasons. and as for those who do love spicy food, there will always be days you feel like eating a lighter meal
@@mr.brightside6087 China is like 100 times bigger than Korea, eatting spicy is mostly based on Weather or geographic reason... I honestly dont think Korean food is spicy for me, but for some of my friends from Southern China, they can't handle spicy food if you have chance, try some non-spicy Ramen noodle, it's pretty common in Chinese or Japanese one
I tend to buy Korean instant ramyeons (Shin ramyeon, Yeol ramyeon, any Kimchi-related ramyeon, Jjajangmyeon, any Samyang buldak ramyeon) and I love them, but the Kang Sifu one is something I'll always buy if I can find it in the store I'm in. The broth is so good that I'll drink it until the last drop. The noodles are springy (when they're cooked per instruction, or maybe a bit less cook time), and with the amazing broth (drink-until-the-last-drop kind), it's amazing. I've tried the dried Japanese ramens (e.g. Nissin UFO) and they're pretty great too.
The way japanese cup ramen provide sticker just to help close the seal while the noodles cooked really shows that Japan always care even for the minor detail.
If you cut the cup noodles in half they actually leave space between the bottom of the cup and the noodles. so the dried noodles are suspended within the cup.
@@Joseph6798-t6p I think they're saying that you don't pay for what you get because the bottom half of the cup has no noodles, only the top half of the cup.
@@GetUnwoke Its not half there is little gap at the bottom but thats why the noodles are higher than normal noodles! So actually you get a lot and its more value

I am from & living in Mainland PRC(People Republic of China ,the Comunist China) ,Remeber : that Only ROC(Republic of China TaiWan) can Represent the True China and Chinese Civilization! there is nothing left but only a great mess left in Mainland PRC! as a Chinese living in PRC , I promise!
Today, one can find both the Japanese and Korean noodles everywhere even in mainstream supermarkets in Canada's largest cities (I am from Montreal). They are both extremely popular. But I never see the Chinese one.
I live in Toronto and there are actually a couple Chinese supermarkets that have an entire section just for Chinese cup noodles, I guess I should try them 😅
Western media usually have political agenda. We(Chinese Japanese Korean) are the same race, we have the same culture and lifestyle. We get along well each other in real life.😄
Thanks for the great video! Nissin is the father of all cup noodles. Here in Yokohama, there's a cup noodle museum because cup noodle was invented by a Taiwanese Japanese. For our Chinese from mainland China, people used to eat another brand called San Xian Yi Mian, 三鲜伊面. Later, some Taiwanese brands came to mainland, such as 康师傅 Kang Shi Fu mentioned in the video. Very tasty.
It's too bad you can only find the chinese one in asian grocery stores, it was my favorite when traveling in Asia, I would look forward to eating that instant ramen
Is anyone from World Friends watching these comments? Next time you have Jane, Hyejin and Kotoha do another episode on a topic showing their use of different chopstick grips, please have them name their respective grips. As I've commented on "Things You Should NEVER Do With Chopsticks" and "Chinese, Japanese, Korean Chopsticks difference", Jane uses the Double Hook grip, and transitions to Cupped Vulcan. Hyejin is a master of Scissorhand, but wields Standard Grip and Lateral Thumb Wrestler as needed. Kotoha specializes in Standard Grip, and transitions to Turncoat as needed. Cheers : )
After watching this video KNOW the difference between Chinese noodles : smells good Japanese noodles : seems good Korean noodles : taste good I think we should take every scope of one of these to have smell , look and taste.
I think it all boils (see what i did there?) down to preference actually. If you like the spicy kick then Shin ramen is a really really good choice. Personally its a tad bit too spicy for my liking, so Nissin Cup Noodle is my go to every time! *Edit: with that being said, i am going to make myself a cup of Nissin Tomyum Noodles rn!
When I went to Japan I was told I should make 'shhluurp' sound eating noodles, but I did not hear slurping in China or Korea. And I think I heard Kotoha slurping... Anyone else have a view on cultural difference about slurping sound? BTW: I usually buy Shin noodles, but now want to try these Chinese and Japanese brands again.
I think people are misinformed a bit on this. Its not that you must slurp. Slurping is not a form of respect for chefs in Japan, and there are many videos that already debunked the real truth of slurping. People slurping is so that soup noodles the soup doesn't drip all over and you enjoy the combination to the fullest forma tastier meal. Also its a habit that comes when you are trying to eat soup noodles really quick (and well people are busy to go from point a to point b). Its one of those things where people just dont care about slurping because it happens often and its seen as OK at that situation to slurp. Theres no harm for slurping noodles, and at the same time, people wont take offense if you don't. So you can if you choose to, but its not about respect to the chefs
@@campusrec4098 When I visited my Japanese friend in Japan, she told me I should slurp while eating... as though it was expected. I'll have to ask her at what level of 'should' she meant... She may have just been inviting me to a playful aspect of Japanese culture. || I'll update this post after she gets back to me. Also, thank you everyone for you input on this question.
In the Netherlands, I have a regular supermarket nearby but it has something cool. It has section with Noodles from all over the Asian world. I've tried pretty much all the large noodle brands from Asia. I have to say I like the Korean noodles the most specially the ones of Nongshim. Love their Kimchi and Shin Red
It's funny because what Hyejin did with the Shin cup, I do it every time (except the lid). The lid is interesting. Maybe it's because Koreans don't have a habit of picking up their bowls?
Cup Noodles is my favourite because the toppings seem more filling. I went to the museum in Japan and got to make my own personalised cup. It was really cool. Shin Ramen is very popular in Australia so I eat it often, same with Indomie mi goreng.
Please use another font on the subtitles. This one was really hard - and sometimes impossible -, to read, especially for those of us watching on a cell phone.
Hi to all the WORLD FRIENDS group. I have a request for you. Pls pls pls do more Korean Japanese Chinese videos. I just love this combo so much. Hope you’ll see my comment. Love from India 🇮🇳💜💜
Cup of Noodles are everywhere in the states you can get them at any grocery store pretty cheap too. Though Korean noodles are starting to make there way over here.
I feel like most college students always gotta have ramen noodle cups stacked in their cabinets. As far as I visited many dorms or apartments of my friends I’ve seen plenty
I think Japanese instant noodles don’t have strong flavours and are a bit artificial, Korean noodles are nice but shin is just really hot chilli with no meaty flavour, Chinese instant noodles are tasty with a nice meaty/savoury flavour and sometimes chilli and are getting better and better, I think Chinese instant noodles are my favourite but I’ve tried Japanese, Korean and Chinese noodles.
For the ones they ate, the Chinese one is the best one. For Chinese instant noodles in general, let's just say... no comment.... But they do have good ones. But for instant noodles in general, Japanese ones are the best. There's absolutely no competition for me. When I say Japanese ones, I don't mean ones made outside of Japan like American Maruchan or HK Demae. There are so much more interesting flavours and higher quality instant ramen than the original flavour of Cup Noodles which is possibly one of the worst you can buy in Japan (but it's still good, I think better than Shin cup). Re-eatability for Japanese instant ramen is the highest for me (out of the three countries). Generally they feel higher quality. I don't understand what you mean by artificial, because I find that Chinese flavours are generally much more artificial. Cup Noodles is probably the most well-known cup noodles internationally. Korean ones usually don't entice me as much, but they have the best noodles made outside of their home country (they have factories in China and US). The Japanese brand ones made in America usually taste like crap lol. For Shin cup, it's extremely boring when I have it the second time. It's only good for the first time in a long while. I would only recommend it if you've never tried it before. I think Shin cup is also popular in China, more popular than Cup Noodles. Also, I've never seen yakisoba or ganbanmian style noodles among Korean noodles. Only jjajangmyun style, or bibimmyun, or buldak style, all of which I prefer less than yakisoba and ganbanmian. Jjajangmyun usually taste very mild and lack of depth in flavour (otherwise the best flavour among the Korean dry noodles), and I don't like the taste of bibimmyun. Buldak style (Korean sweet spicy panfried noodles) gets old quick. Taiwanese ones are interesting but I'm not too familiar with them. They're kind of like a crossover between Chinese and Japanese in terms of flavour and quality. I think Korean noodles are kind of the outliers among the four countries in terms of taste. If I remember correctly, their dry noodles are very MSG-happy (might be even more than Indomie/mi goreng) but still taste good. I remember Manhan noodles are also interesting, but I haven't had them for a very long time.
Nissin Cup Noodles is the only one available where I live(unless I purchase online). And I’d say it’s _okay_ at best. But then again, the product they sell here and the ones in Japan are different.
I’m surprised that I’ve ate all. I eat the kimchi Korean instant noodles the most, followed by the 红烧牛肉面, the Chinese one. And lastly the Japanese one I had once or twice. I remembered making my own at the instant noodle factory.
Not sure if Thai brands sell them out of cups yet but I usually go for WaiWai or Mama noodles. I think it should've been added since their broth is more seafood oriented(usually shrimp and lime flavor).
Philippines: We have lots of Nissin and Jin Ramyun in the Supermarket. For me, I rarely find Chinese noodles but I eat the noodle named haohuanluo snail noodles. It has seven seasonings and spicy level is different. But the deadliest spicy noodles for me is the Samyang brand Noodle.
i had all three before and imo korean ramen had the bounciest noodles!! I think it might be the oil content in the noodles or how they process it (frying maybe) have no idea. Tried a few brands and they are all super bouncy! My favorite is Samyang. Only tried Shin once, but it's too spicy for my stomach to handle. Chinese ramen has the best broths, esp the pricier ones and so many flavors. Japanese ramen is classic, very "comfort food" for me. I always keep nissan cups in stock lol
The Chinese cup noodles look so appetizing I’d like to try it- I assume it tastes like the Indonesian ramen which are very delicious 🤤 btw what are the Chinese ramen cup noodles call?
Kang Shi Fu, and the most classic flavor is the red braised beef. Here is the Chinese: 康師傅紅燒牛肉面. If you bring it to the Asian supermarket, they may be able to find it for you. :D
The little lid bowl she made reminded me of being a kid and sometimes I would forget to pack a spoon in my lunch. I always had applesauce though and the lid was a metal foil. I would fold it in a similar manner to use as a spoon 😅
As an American in the Midwest, I don’t interact enough with the various Asian cultures to know the subtleties and nuance. Now however, after starting to date a woman from China who is a grad student and by hanging out with her I am therefore by extension more exposed to a number of Asian students at the university that I normally would not have entered into the social circle of. I’m really staring to notice little things that harken to traditions of each country, small details and what they emphasize in food and other things. Even physical traits are starting to become more prominent, though I dare not ever say that out loud to them for risk of being tested and failing 😅
I grew up with the Japanese style in the cup or the brick type. I live in the Southwest USA so wasn't until in about the past 5 -10 years that we started getting other type of ramen. Never seen the Chinese one, we have a Korean grocery store were I live now so have tried many of the Korean ones though. I love how the Japanese girl goes back for seconds each time 🤣Very interesting video, thank you!
I grew up eating instant noodles/cup ramen.. but even though it is from the Japanese brand Nissin, it seems that they changed the packaging or language to chinese.
Damn really? I really hate Nissin noodles. I don't actually like Japanese instant noodles much. Shin ramen imo is pretty bad too compared to some other Korean ramens. Kang used to be good, now it tastes meh and noodle quality is bad too. But for these ones presented: Kang > Shin > Nissin
@@flysmask Only the series shown for Nissin is good, they have lots of ingredients as well. Usually i go for seafood, mushroom chicken tom yam or curry if im feeling "rich". (It's $1.50 each but i can buy indo/msia/thai 5pack for $3). Their other series are meh. Shin and other korean instant noodles are too spicy and those soup ones makes me vomit if i eat too much. I've been trying to find Kang purple for half a year now. so i cant give any update on the quality.
