Unfortunately, the factories in China have chosen to use a fitting that isn’t available anywhere in the world except China.

You really are the ultimate source on these little excavators. It's fun to watch you build your business.

Thanks for putting all this effort into these DIN fittings, I really appreciate it. You definitely are making some good content on these little excavators. I bought a Rippa R319, so far it’s been great, 24 hours so far on it without any issues besides the bucket sides are thin and have bent out a little.

DIN - Deutsches Institut fur Normung. German engineering...not China.

I noticed that today. I have a fitting identification tool from AdaptAll, its got a 26mm and a 27mm hole in the metric plate. Fortunately my oil filter and tank fittings are BSPP, so I can adapt those. So far I haven't had to change any hoses over. Im not sure what size the Banjo fitting coming out of my valve block to return is yet, Im hoping its BSPP as well.

The banjo fitting is M22x1.5mm So I shouldnt have an issue converting from an L15 Banjo / 90 degree M27 to an L15 Banjo / BSPP 12 or a JIC or even 26mm DIN

Can you tell me what the proper battery size is for the AGT H15? Just got mine and battery is toast and no markings on the battery

Just throw the biggest 12 volt battery that will fit and have the proper configuration for hooking up. AGM last the longest and can handle the bouncing

Group 51 battery. But you’re only starting a single cylinder engine. When your in there, add a pig tail for your float charger.

I appreciate your taking the time to educate all of us in the ins and outs of the hydraulic components. I’ve already used the knowledge that you’ve shared to solve some problems with attachments on my QH12.

Fantastic content, so informative. Do you have or know where to get field attachable/reusable DIN fittings? We’ve searched online, but no luck. We’d prefer not to use the JIC version with an adapter, if possible. Thanks!

Great information Cam! My Diggit EM15, as well as Miva VA15S (both rebranded JG-15 from the OEM Shandong Jianggong Machinery Co., AKA SDJG) use the M27 fittings on their return circuits. The machines do have BSPP to M27 adapters on the valve body and solenoid but, just as you, I have not been able to track down any source for them yet. I have found the M27 crimp fittings on AliExpress but asking sellers on Alibaba will be required to track down adapters.

WTF!? Why would they take the extra step of inventing a new standard? Incidentally, I thought I was losing my mind with my AutoKato Scissor lift. The crimped hose end is a 37° female end marked m14 1.5.. this mixing of JIC flares with metric threads is endemic..

If I were you I'd see how demand is for those oddball adapters. It might make sense to have a batch of adapters in house especially if you're the only one in the world selling them. If your special order fitting that you paid thousands to have manufactured costs me $100 to get up and running again, I'm buying it no questions asked.

This is very important information for any one with a tiny machine no matter what brand. Thank You for finding the problem. Also I was unable to find your buddy from Florida even on Facebook. Have any links?

I'm learning about DIN fittings too and found that there are DIN Light and DIN Heavy. I got a DIN Heavy M16x1.5 hose cap and it leaked. It appears to have a deeper outer female hex, so it tops out before the Male internals seal.

Yes sir all ours are Light Series, not the “S” Series Heavy

So I have a H15 and the hose that comes off the hydraulic tank on that 90 degree fitting, is that the m27x1.5? My problem is there is no drain plug on the tank. How do I go about draining the fluid?
@edolson1698
@edolson1698 3 месяца назад
I just undo the bottom hose on the tank. I also use a shop vac with a 1"1/4 hose placed on the fill port to keep the fluid from flying out when I undue the hose from the tank and it gives me time to put a drain hose on the tank to keep the mess to a minimum. My shop vac was a little to strong and did suck up a little fluid into the hose so next time I won't make the seal so tight to avoid getting any fluid in the vac hose.

I used the $8 plastic hand pump from HF, 40 pumps per gallon, 2-1/2 gallon in my H-15.
