I have the AGT QH12R with the R420 engine (not the briggs engine). Will this cooler/filter kit work for this one? Ive noticed on mine the psi rating of the hydraulic hoses are 7000 psi and on the H12R they are rated for 5000 psi.
Cam, i believe your timing on all these excavator videos was perfect. Your knowledge helps so many people understand their equipment better, i would be surprised if one of these companies hasn't used your videos to sell their products .. I can visualize them sending you just about 1 of everything for review. That is my hope anyway because you are so informative, which makes it easier to pull trigger for purchasing. Good luck. Keep the video's coming. I see them all over fb groups. Cheers from michigan
YOU SEEM VERY KNOWLEDGABLE ABOUT HYDRAULICS. I HAVE A MINI SKIDD STEER. I HAVE ONE AND I WISH IT WOULD ALLOW ME TO FLOAT THE BUCKET. DO YOU HAVE OR ARE YOU WORKING ON KIT THAT WOULD ALLOW THE BUCKET TO FLOAT?
Have you seen RU-vidr Papa Junk(s) version? The bottom edge of his is the same height as the bottom of the drive motor. He went further and made a full cover to protect the hoses from falling debris. It looks like the right size rock could pass under your guard and hit a drive motor.
I'm learning about DIN fittings too and found that there are DIN Light and DIN Heavy. I got a DIN Heavy M16x1.5 hose cap and it leaked. It appears to have a deeper outer female hex, so it tops out before the Male internals seal.
You can bolt weight easily to that thing on the sides where the cut-outs are on the wings of the driver station. A couple large bolts and washers from Home Depot and hang some tractor suitcase weights on the outside and you can add 140-280lbs to the back of that baby! I had to drill holes in mine to run the bolts through.
So I bought a AGT L12 that already has a cooler installed but does not seem to have a filter. I tried to order a filter kit but I see you are out of stock? When might you have just the filter kit available and would it be compatible for a L12 machine?
Great video! Thanks for all the info! Any thoughts on oil filling and draining of the travel and swing reducer? How and type of oil? The diggers have the lines, but aren't the typical drain and fill, the manual does have details, but they don't look correct. I emailed the company typhon, who said it doesn't need changed. Any details on how to drain and fill?
@@thegarageconnection Thanks a ton! I am probably going to purchase that guard soon... and how hard is it to install that flow reducer to ease the stopping so I don't destroy the gears?
Its a good question,I added a fan and cooler, then found my alternator was only 1,.5amps, oops, had to add solar panel..never thought of changing the stator, thanks for the info
Great information...I made my own machine....also got annoyed it went so slow....I had 2 single acting spool valves left over from another project..I plumbed these up to switch the drives from parrellel to series....get double the speed, just can't turn, but don't care as I'm just moving from one place to another...thanks for the great channel.
Fantastic content, so informative. Do you have or know where to get field attachable/reusable DIN fittings? We’ve searched online, but no luck. We’d prefer not to use the JIC version with an adapter, if possible. Thanks!
I just bought one and think it’s a good purchase at least for me. I sold my farm but wanted a mini machine to pull my timber talon log trailer and it is the ting in my yang… loader on tracks pulling a backhoe on a wheeled dump trailer. I need to adjust my axels to reduce tongue weight but a very robust, capable machine for the money. I see no reason why parts cannot be fixed or replaced. A strong simple machine. Perfect for me anyway.
If I were you I'd see how demand is for those oddball adapters. It might make sense to have a batch of adapters in house especially if you're the only one in the world selling them. If your special order fitting that you paid thousands to have manufactured costs me $100 to get up and running again, I'm buying it no questions asked.
Ideally maximum system oil pressure would be set at the minimum PSI required for the work load. Excess system pressure setting can build hydraulic oil heat and stress pump/hoses and structure.
Another great video Cam! Two questions: 1- I have mostly seen machines where the cooler is installed after the filter in the return line. Can you comment on the pros and cons of each approach? 2- Can you make a video that goes into the specifics and explains how the different components of a dual circuit pump with flow divider valve (with safety solenoid, accumulator and filter) and joysticks operate on machines such as the H15?
1) The filter being at the very end of the system ensures all contaminants are removed prior to the fluid entering the reservoir. If the filter was first, then potentially the cooler could have particles inside it that would be sent directly to the sump.
Great information Cam! My Diggit EM15, as well as Miva VA15S (both rebranded JG-15 from the OEM Shandong Jianggong Machinery Co., AKA SDJG) use the M27 fittings on their return circuits. The machines do have BSPP to M27 adapters on the valve body and solenoid but, just as you, I have not been able to track down any source for them yet. I have found the M27 crimp fittings on AliExpress but asking sellers on Alibaba will be required to track down adapters.
WTF!? Why would they take the extra step of inventing a new standard? Incidentally, I thought I was losing my mind with my AutoKato Scissor lift. The crimped hose end is a 37° female end marked m14 1.5.. this mixing of JIC flares with metric threads is endemic..
WOW! What a well thought out kit with one of the best step by step instructional install videos I have ever seen. Great job. Almost makes me wish I had a gas unit instead of my 1.5T diesel. Nah, I'll keep my diesel lol
Thanks for putting all this effort into these DIN fittings, I really appreciate it. You definitely are making some good content on these little excavators. I bought a Rippa R319, so far it’s been great, 24 hours so far on it without any issues besides the bucket sides are thin and have bent out a little.
