A visit to Chinatown in Los Angeles California for the annual Lunar New Year celebration and annual Golden Dragon parade . Lots of entertainment , food and fun spread over a few city blocks . Help Fuel The Woo / adamthewoo
Instagram - AdamTheWooATW The last couple weekends I attended Universal and DCA lunar new year events but felt it necessary to check out the annual one in Chinatown . The yearly parade was amazing .
i love that Buce Lee statue that was cool. I know you're the same age that i am and so you might have had a similar experience growing up but for some reason on Sundays when i was a little kid, we only had 3 or 4 tv channels , and on sundays there was bruce lee movies, abbott and costello , the old black and white tarzan movies and then the 4th channel was religious programming. you might have had more tv channels than i did growing up but i liked the bruce lee movies best followed by the abbot and costello ones with who's on first one of the most watched hahaha loved the vid thanks for taking us along!
sgpch1983 California is huge and there are tons of events and sites to see that he has yet to experience and share with us. Can’t speak for anyone else but I’m enjoying it immensely. Everything Adam post is awesome.
Excellent video with all the sights and sounds of the parade and celebration. I could almost smell the incense, the gunpowder and the food! Thanks Adam!
I could almost taste those potstickers and dragon whiskers myself. It all looked so delicious. I love me some Chinese food! Such a cool event and a great video man
I do a lot of work for Cirque at TI in Las Vegas, and recognized that first performer instantly. Your videos always bring back fond memories of living in LA, and going to Chinatown with my family. Thank you!!!
I got the notification. Thanks for the video, it was a tradition for our family to go there every year, so it was really nice to see it since we have since moved away.
That was awesome. I attended some CNY in Vegas last week and the lion dancers were my favorite. The costumes are so pretty and elaborate. I didn't get to taste any food though. Now I'm craving those potstickers. Thanks Adam!
This was wonderful! I want to try that dragon whisker candy! Thank you so much for all the videos you make and all the places that you share with us all! Somewhere else you asked if we received notifications when this video is up, and I did!
Now I know it's worth going to Chinatown during the Lunar New Year, thanks!!! (Side note: I definately got the notification for this video. There was a time I wasn't getting notifications until I noticed the bell wasn't clicked on. )
Yes I received my notification. And thank you for taking a picture with my son and I at DCA! You’re great guy to do that for us. Thanks again for all you do!!
love your videos Adam! always along for the ride and learning new things from from your adventures. I've even got my mom and dad watching your videos and asking me did you see where the woo went today? brings me such happiness and joy
Chinatown? I’d have spent the whole day looking for a small junk shop in a basement looking for Mogwai. Love the Rush Hour movies. I shouldn’t but I do...
Hey Adam! My husband and I both are subscribed to your channel and we have been getting all the notifications, including this one. Love all your videos. Keep them coming. ☺️
Love you videos. I did not receive a notification for this though I saw you posted on the community tab. Also I came after the video with Tim Tracker at the Christmas fair.
Thanks. Got my notification yesterday when it came out. Love the culture vids. Headed to Orlando Friday! Taking the little ones to Disney. Also thanks for introducing me to super enthused videos. Jackie is great.
Thank you for putting out the notice about the video. I do not recall getting a notification. I did look back through my list and did not see anything but live the video so again thank you
That looks an amazing day out all the colours all the action and the bet the food was fantastic as well I'm sure I recognise some of those buildings from film and TV shows perhaps you can do it all one day of some of the films that are made in that area thank you
So cool to see the sights and sounds of the new year celebration in Chinatown through your lens Adam! I absolutely love how you often let the ambiance of the location help to tell the story. It really made me feel like I was standing there watching the event in person. Great job! Thank you!👍🏼🤘🏼😎 🎉 🐖
I actually was not notified when you put this one out. Great video! I thought that was awesome that Rush Hour was filmed in that one spot! Its a bit of lunar new years mixed with a filming location!
Hey Adam, messaging from Maine. I did recieve a notification yesterday. I have had issues in the past though. I sometimes click the bell than click it again. Great video I adore the costumes and dancing.
No notification. In fact, it was not on my list of videos released by channels I am subscribed to. It did show up on my home page under recommended videos though. This isn't the first time this has happened to me though so I was only a little surprised, mostly irritated that I almost missed it.
There's a couple of vlogs I follow because up until a couple of years ago I've done many of the things that you guys have posted about at least in California ( going back to the 80s) Living vicariously through the likes of Woo, it doesn't get much better than that. Thanks for taking me there again Adam.
The preservation, promotion, and protection of culture, customs, traditions, heritage, homeland, and identity are important. Chinatown celebration is included.
I received a notification for this video yesterday. Really enjoyed it. Nice to see how other cultures celebrate the New Year. I was born year of the rat.
Thanks for sharing this event! Color, tradition, young & old....great neighborhood; activities, food...& I liked seeing the crossroad before the parade; "Caesar Chavez St."....I love LA....
Awesome celebration in Chinatown! They really go all out!! The colorful potstickers looked very aaaaah interesting haha. I feel like they were totally delicious though!
wow that was so cool video those people's have rain everyday even those ladys did all the moves also you got the airline's or aircraft flying over i guiess the airport was so close??
This looks like great fun! I love the Lion dancers! I would buy one of those puppets. I've never heard of Dragon Whiskers Candy. I imagine it's quite delicious even though it reminds me of fiberglass strands, ha, ha! I wonder how many dragons had to be slain for one of those!
Crossing my fingers the whole time that some young kid asks you to step into his grandfather's shop to purchase an unusual gift/critter then marry a green eyed princess to lift a ancient curse, but it didn't happen. Womp womp womp.
You still doing the filming locations videos? If so, if you're ever in Chicago and want to do a tour of where Groundhog Day was filmed, I'd be happy to show you around.
