Great review Jono I was hoping it would be the Chinese ration from your pole mate (Was kinda a 10 out of 10 wasn’t it ) i thought it might be good 👍 no fools and plenty of resources to fund the manufacturing Great review mate 🤠👍 all the best Simon
I agree, it was very good. No coffee I’m afraid. Is coffee popular in China? I’m sure it is these days. I just always think tea when I think of China 🇨🇳
@@GreeklishOutdoorsI am Chinese and your video is very well done👍🏻. What I know is that maybe the version you are trying is not the version officially used by the military, but a replacement product for military-to-civilian conversion (Chinese military factories are not allowed to export military items). Regarding coffee, I think it may not be available, and of course tea may not be available ( At this stage, China's military rations are more about functionality than experience. For example, choosing self-heating instead of open flames is for military considerations) The official version of military rations that are not sold may carry more essentials such as energy bars, compressed biscuits, matches, etc. thing. One more thing I have a question about is, do you think you will be full with this meal? Many video bloggers commented that Chinese food can make people hungry quickly. I personally feel that the portion is small (for lunch).
@chenfelix7761 Hello and thank you for your message. That’s very interesting, I didn’t realise it was a military to civilian conversion. I have another ration from China that I haven’t reviewed yet. It was advertised as for the Chinese special forces, maybe this is a similar product. I’d love to try a genuine military version with all the extra snacks. It sounds good. I enjoyed this ration and yes I did feel full for quite a while after I ate it. It definitely wouldn’t be enough for a full day, but if I had 2, there would be enough food for me for 24 hours. Best wishes 😊✊🏼👍🏼
I'm actually impressed to be honest. I see you meal like good 😂. For the Chinese I àm impressed over the quality seems better than the Chinese civilian restaurant food. No gutter oil in sight 🤦♂️ hope your great buddy and hope the comments section are awesome ❤😊
Thanks very much mate. Yea this was a good one. I was a little worried about it, but it turned out great. Thank god there was no gutter oil 😂 I appreciate that buddy, cheers 😊👍🏼 Have a great weekend ✊🏼☀️
Thank you for your video! I'm a Chinese living in Italy, and I'm also a military ration collector. I'm glad you liked our Chinese military rations. This ration is mainly provided to the army, but this version is not the latest style. Additionally, there are many other interesting rations available for the Air Force and Navy. Also, the vegetables soaked in chili oil are not cabbage but a type of mushroom. If there's a chance, when I return to China later, I can send you some other samples to try.
Hello! Thank you for your comment. I’m glad you liked the video. I really enjoyed the ration. You’re a collector too! Awesome.,There are a few of us 😊👍🏼 Thanks for the information on the Chinese military rations. That’s very interesting. I have just filmed another Chinese military ration (video will be released early March). 🇨🇳 Ah ok, a mushroom. That’s interesting. It tasted great. Oh wow, yes that would be great, thank you 🙏🏼😊👍🏼
I think it translated as mackerel, but it tasted a little like crab too. I was surprised how good it was. I’ve been looking to get a South Korean ration, but when they come up they’re so expensive. But I agree, they look amazing. All the best 😊👍🏼
Watching some recent videos on food production in China, I wouldn't assume any of those meats are what they are labelled. Seriously disgusting practices over there (for foods produced for domestic consumption).
I’m sure you can find poor food hygiene in many places (the ration I tested from Kazakhstan was unfortunately contaminated). It’s inexcusable these days. I was concerned before trying this, but only because I saw another review where the food was bad. Luckily mine turned out great 🥳 I can’t confirm the meat in it…. But I can’t from any local takeaway either 🤪 😉 Have a great evening 😊👍🏼
@@GreeklishOutdoors This isn't just poor food hygiene. They create fake eggs, yolk and all. They use chemicals to create a result similar to months of fermentation in seconds. They inject rotten food with dyes to make it look fresh. Synthetic "ice cream" that never melts. Stuff WELL beyond my worst nightmares. We're talking Upton Sinclair's "The Jungle" kind of bad. Some recent videos uncover how seriously bad it is. But these same companies make foods for export that meet international standards. They CAN do it, but China's laxed enforcement domestically leads to really shady practices. Love the vids, and glad the food was good!
Oh wow that sounds horrendous 😧 Isn’t it easier to make real food? I don’t understand why people do these kinds of things. You’ve opened my eyes 👀 Thanks very much 😊👍🏼🙏🏼
You're a brave soul, the chinese MRE's are notriously bad with few exceptions. Someone over there thought it would be a great idea to pack a boiled egg with a variety of these, everyone i've seen review a ration with such an egg has had to spit it out, even when the ration is within the supposed best-before date. Did you ever get to try a Japanese ration? they are supposed to be really nicely seasoned and they generally come with rice, which when warmed up, have the consistency of home-steamed!
I have reviewed a ‘Special forces’ ration from China that contained an egg…… I spat it out as it didn’t taste right 😬 But apart from that it was fine. I’d love to try a Japanese ration, but have never seen one for sale ☹️ From other videos they do look great and I love Japanese food 😊👍🏼 🇯🇵 I definitely keep my eye out for one! Cheers mate 😊👍🏼
