Regarding 18:17 i also understand that china was always in wars and im sure there are deep traumas as result of that. Farming lands were often scorched, salted, taken away. I have heard too many accounts of famine and starvation, whole populations decimated as result of war. Commonfolk probably won't own much but for the food grown on the land.
I'm from Malaysia, it so true when you said we Malay and Chinese are divided. I mean yes we live peacefully, study or working together but we don't talk about religion that much, and yes non Muslim tend to think that Islam is belong to Malay. And we Malay also don't bother to learn Chinese and try to do dakwah actively to non Muslim. I hope we can change this culture.
Salam w aleykum, I am a Spanish convert. Here in Spain something similar is happening, most Muslims here are Moroccan inmigrants, except some da3is (may Allah preserve them) no mosque offers khutba in Spanish nor they share islamic content in Spanish. May Allah preserve you brother Isa Ma. And may Allah be merciful with sh. Ahmed deedat. Amiin
You should definitely request them to make khudba in spanish and give them reasons why and in a humble manner. If they are arrogant, may Allah help us.
They should've translated Ahmed Deedat's 'Islam and Christianity Vol 1/2' in Spanish- about thirty years ago a brother said he was going to do that. In Sha Allah a national dawah programme should be done in Spain and the real Reconquistadore.
Salam brother Isa. Thank you for this video. As a Muslim Malay Malaysian, I can really feel it. Many of my Chinese friends think that Islam is only for Malays. 😭😭😭 I am currently learning Mandarin Chinese but I find it so difficult to pronounce all the different tones 😭 Make du’as for me so one day I can speak Mandarin fluently. InshaAllah. 🙏🏽🙏🏽
Arrogance and pride are the two biggest poisons in not just the Muslim world, but in humanity in general. The greatest atrocities in history can be directly attributed to people portraying these characteristics. Laughing at a culture that understands hunger and their greeting of "have you eaten?" because your belly is always full just shows how little respect and empathy people have. My jaw dropped when I heard that greeting and dropped even more when they laughed. May Allah show mercy and aid to all who suffer through hunger and bless and support our Muslim brothers there through these dark times.
@Aku Saya The Prophet loved his uncle Abu Talib who supported the Prophet all his life but never converted to Islam. All Muslims have respect for Abu Talib. This is one example. You misunderstand Islam. I don't know if this is intentionally or unintentionally. Only God knows. Christians do not show love to everyone. If they did, Christian governments and soldiers from the West wouldn't carpet bomb poor people in the Middle East, killing millions of people in some cases. You don't hear Christians as a whole condemning these actions. I don't see love of enemies from Christians. Why do you call those that are not Christians 'enemies' anyway? Isn't that a bit harsh and unloving?🤔
@Aku Saya The person you refer to as Jesus is called 'Isa". Why do you continue to pervert the sound of his actual name-most certainly he would correct your mis-pronunciation and then offer the true sound of his name.
Ahmed deedat is a genius, when the audience laughed when deedat mention the Chinese greeting have you eaten it just shows the audience have extremely low understanding while deedat really understood the compassion, love and care in this expression
I couldn't stop tears running down my cheeks at the end when Sheik Ahmad said, have you eaten and everybody laugh..we have a lot to learn dear brothers and sisters. May Allah humbled our hearts. It's the first time I see this video. I will definitely share it widely. Thank you.
in south east asia its a pretty normal things to do tho we will always ask anyone we talk with and chat with that "have you eaten yet ? No ? then want me to treat you ?"
In my country Kosovo we have a same understanding of food and guests so whenever a guest comes we offer them food first not because we have much but because we know its value and out of respect that has been passed on for ages since our first ancestors.
Essalamaleykum brothers and sisters I have been in China, 你吃了吗 ( have you eaten) 😢😢😢 first I couldn't understand then when you see their back history it really makes you to tears Please brothers and sisters let's be humble and first learn before judging . May Allah bless you and your family brother Isa Ma !!!

I'm a Malay/Chinese Singaporean and yes, for the older generation, their first question when they meet people is, "Dah makan?" ("Have you eaten?"). It's not exclusive to Chinese, though. Malays ask the same question as well. I dont know why the audience laugh.. for us it's common courtesy.
@@arfaouisami2955 Bro if you don't understand what is sheikh is saying was that, the history of Chinese people in the 1958s is 15-55 millions of people are died in hunger and they know what hunger is like sheikh is saying but they try to share their food to others that they never know who they are, and who later called them "Pig eater" isn't that ironic and yet you speak arrogantly Arabs did this, Arabs did that? Bro what is this? What are you talking about? You don't even know what is going on and speak arogantly, bro you don't need to see far enough to see and ask the people of yemen are they hungry or not... atleast go ask them, and speak to your brothers And don't be Arrogant. It's ok if you don't want to speak to the Chinese nobody forcing to do it but atleast speak to your brothers, because you don't even acknowladge them bro.
Late Sheikh Ahmed Deedat is gifted man..scholar of comparative religion and biblical studies. His knowledge in bible is special indeed. Most of his debate opponents find it is extremely hard to beat him bcoz of his extensive knowledge in bible. I guess his dawah activity has a great impact in the West as well to rhe extent that many Americam and Europeans have converted to Islam. As for ypur comment on chinese n malays..you are quite right..not enough efforts to daawah the chinese and division do exists bcoz of chinese have very wrong feeling toward islam due to the attitude of malays itself..among others.
It might be true that maybe we didn’t emphasize the dawah on Chinese in Malaysia. Me being a Malaysian and working with Chinese also ever encountered some conversation about religion and one of them said, Muslim like to dedicate themselves to serve Allah, while they like to busy themselves chasing for money and only pray whenever they want to pray. So I think, that is another misconception about Islam. I am not a religious person myself and only share anything about Islam based on my personal experience. I hope I can teach them more about Islam only if they are interested to know. And I also need to seek more knowledge of Islam in order to do so. I pray may Allah guide them and us to the straight path and make us steadfast in seeking for the truth. Ameen Ya Rabb. 🤲🏻
The "have you eaten?" greeting reminded me of something I heard in an explanation of Surah Al-Kahf by Shaykh Abu-Taubah. In the part of the Surah where Musa AS is with Khidr AS and they enter a village where they aren't given lodging or food. He explained Musa AS was confused about why Khidr AS repaired a wall for free when they could have done so for some kind of payment. The shaykh explained the reason why Musa AS asked this question was because it was a common practice for people to host travelers out of the kindness of their own hearts. Today AH we have food and drink readily available, but the humbleness of the Cantonese greeting seems to radiate that same humbleness and kindness which could have been common in the past. From my perspective, it shows the person saying the greeting is willing to open their home and spend their own time for someone else's comfort.
Instead of watching brother Isa's reactions, i found myself captivated by Sheikh Ahmed Deedat's speech even though i've watched his videos before, absolutely mesmerizing. it happens every time, i can't bring my attention to focus on something else.
@@sareeyemanusqaame8723 just offer what you have. It's a common things here in Indonesia & malaysia. It just like when black peoples meet each other they saying "yo waddup cuz you good?"
@@jagindas5714 saying “yo what’s up” doesn’t require food being ready you can literally say that any time and all places So basically I understand they can say that greeting ONLY when they have food around. Otherwise it’s meaningless and it will become out of place
I'm glad I watched this. May Allah bless you brother. This really touched me though I don't look down on people with a different culture than mine, I sure have learnt what I do wrong "We must understand the way of thinking of others". Masha Allah

Hey you know man there are brothers who are better than the best scholars today he doesnt need to be a sheikh to have good character "may Allah better him". I know this because Allah taught me this.
@@Fx_Explains I dont remember exactly but it may have been a few times I noticed that some brothers were more quiet and i began to notice their character after getting to know them they were very rightous.
"Have you eaten"....have you had your meal....it's a salutation....the humility In this expression shows empathy, it shows the ammount of care and generosity in this expression because of the Famine and hunger that they themselves have faced....so learn the intention behind their salutation....
Masha Allah. I am happy to see this brother. I met Sheikh Ahmed Deedat back in 1994 in Ottawa Canada. "Allah yarhama" I am Somalian. Our traditional is greeting is "Ma barideen" in English rough translation is "Have been all safe last night" which indicates safety and security was too important for our nomadic people. May Allah preserve you my brother Isa Ma.
MashaAllah Tabara Kallah! Nice explanation.Sheikh Ahmed Defeat was one of the best muslim speakers.May Allah SWT have mercy n forgives his soul n grant him the highest level in Jannah.Ameen.Thank u beautiful soul for sharing.May the Almighty Allah bless U so much more in this world n in the next world.Ameen.
You got it right br Isa.. i'm from Malaysia, most of the Daie here are the reverted Chinese Muslims, same goes to Indian Muslims ..we are way behind from the evangelist Christians.
Sheik Ahmad Deedat Rahimaullah is my absolute favourite and out of contemporaries, Brother Ma too. May Allah SWT bless and protect you and your family, dear brother Ma, Aameen!
I went to Pakistan with the Tablighi Jamaat and met many Chinese brothers which spoke Urdu English even Punjabi, I was stunned into amazement while they were stunned I could speak Urdu and Punjabi, We really have to travel and unite more God willing,
Brother, watching your videos honestly makes me want to be a better Muslim who is much more careful with my speech and manners, allahumma baarik, mashallah. May Allah reward you brother, and thank you for making these videos and sharing with us.
Assalamualaikum. The issues about Malay and Chinese in Malaysia is so true. Not only Chinese who thought that Islam is a Malay things, but some Malay also think that Islam is exclusive for them. Sad to see that this is still happening and politicians often take for granted on this.
There are efforts and dai like ust. Ebit Liew, Firdaus Wong, Hussain Yee and others who are of chinese descent that are actively representing muslim chinese and trying to spread dawah into the chinese populace. Ust Ebit Liew is known for his empathy and fieldwork, his approach is very much instilling love and faith into ppl he encounters. Ust. Firdaus Wong however is more of the intellectual/cultural study ustadh and i love his work bcoz its a bridge between islam and understanding the culture of chinese ppl and how they perceive things. He also expressed efforts in learning various chinese languages and explains things like the significance of certain celebrations and what those celebrations theologically imply as chinese ppl has their own belief systems. He is being that bridge so ppl can understand the chinese but of course his videos will get less views from some other malay ustadh who touches on 'dajal theories' or lectures laced with jokes. I love ust. Firdaus and all other chinese da'i bcoz they represent and they do dawah differently. I find that they also gravitate to things i that find important. Im lucky to be born in east malaysia as this part of malaysia does not believe in segregation and you still retain your culture despite your religion. But we are still part of malaysia and for the most part we are run by malay government so there's bound to be influence or an indirect effort to box us into their side of the spectrum. Islam here has a strong malay influence and its abit inseparable so it makes sense if the chinese communities are resistant or reluctant to even contemplate islam. It also doesnt help that the malays like to direct a lot of hate toward the chinese.
Yes it's usually political. It's sad when people use religion to blame others but they themselves dont practise it properly. Ebit Lew and many Chinese muslim reverts are doing amazing work. May Allah guide us.
Very interesting prospective on dawa that is not geography bound like Islam itself, keep the blessing brother... Also I really appreciate the diversity you bring to yt dawa vibrance, thanks to Allah for having you arround
It is a challenge to us as Humans that we learn the distinction between what is Known and what is Believed. To not understand the difference between a function of Intellect verses Intuition is to risk smearing over actual Reality with how we would Like things to be. May a Merciful and Compassionate God deliver us from this kind of arrogance. Alhamduillah.
@@EpikMunk i have lived in 3 different arab countries. I am over 50 yesrs old and definitely not a boy. Calling me a boy is sn expression of arrogance we just talked about
@@alhassangangu4357 The big joke here is you talk about arrogance after writing "Arab Muslims are so arrogant..." And having been in only 3 arab countries yet fail to see the arrogance and hypocrisy in your own statement. There are more than 3 arab countries in the world and calling an entire races of people arrogant is in itself arrogant boy and I call you boy because even after 50 years you think like 1.
MashaAllah. My beloved grandfather yarham used to talk to me about Ahmed Deedat yarham. Alhamdulillah, this late brother is from my home country of South Africa.
Mashallah brother keep this going, you have shed light on an important overlooked topic, that many ignorantly and sometimes innocently ignore, what you highlighted in this video is what our world needs more of.
Assalamuaikum brother... Thank you for this video. Very eye-opening. I'm from Malaysia and you are right and.more dakwah can be done via us the Malay individuals not just organisations
According to me shaik Ahmed deedat has bring the revolution in dawah field.and after that people began to search about their own scriptures and realised the facts. Isa brother I appreciate you, you have elaborated the message of shaik. Also appreciate for learning the English language at least we can communicate with you and share our thought with you.
Thank you Isa Ma for this video. I agree we have to learn about other cultures and find the good in them as a pathway to connect them to Islam. I for one have taken this lesson from you. God bless you.
Masha'Allah, I'm pretty sure you won't read my comment. Just wanted to say that your reaction to this video, was out of this world. So young, and so knowledgeable. I pray that Allah may give you more and more. I love you my brother and so happy.
Brother, many thanks for another powerful vlog. This Friday's kutbah in my local masjid was on subject of race and your video compliments that. This disease is the cause of fragmentation of our ummah. I pray to Allah to help us overcome this and unite our hearts. Thank you once again.
so in malaysia the official language is Bahasa Melayu, english is the 2nd language because of british colonization and the educational system is messed up because in school you have to learn this 2 languages. It makes the chinese and indian feel left out and they would rather go to their own chinese or indian school, some of these chinese and indian school are private school btw. This also pretty much separate them to mixed with the malay people but there is some malay that go to chinese school and indian school but it is very low. Nowadays, in malaysia still have a person that only speak 1 language either its malay, chinese or indian. So i do not know the solution for this. I understand from what you said Isa ma but it is different if going to china you have to speak chinese language obviously. In malaysia you have a different situation. It would be wonderful if a person can master a lot of languages. I like how the african people pretty much can speak 4 to 5 languages because of their educational system is very good. I just hope that this problem can be solve in future so a lot of people can dakwah Islam to other people and Islam to be spread. Amin
The interesting thing about your channel is your speaking style. You pronounce the word to me correctly, whether it is English, Chinese, or even Arabic. I think over the next four years we will see an advocate like Sheikh Ahmed Deedat in a new way that enters the hearts of young people. I hope you stay on the right path. Thank you
Assalamualikum Dear brother you are doing a good work in the name of Islam. I personally find you a knowledgeable person. So please follow the way of my Dear AHMAD DEEDAD. MY BEST WISHES ARE WITH YOU.
I think the audience were laughing because they didn't realise that the inflection in the Sh's voice as he teared up was not something he was putting on for humour; Sh Ahmed Deedat has a way of speaking that sometimes inflects in strange ways to exaggerate emotion for humour when acting out dialogue.
