Such warm welcoming people you wouldn’t get this in US UK,or any western country especially being an African, why? Because they know how atrocious and barbarically they treated Africans and the Diaspora in the past and in the present day I love the Chinese welcome and the Mongolian welcome this is how people should be with a visitor from far off lands The man touching Fel hands rubbing it to see if the color comes,off that’s how the Brits used to think that the skin was dirty they never understood about Melanin.

It is the nomadic tradition that any guest (including strangers) is welcome to the best of their food. I did have more or less the same experience.

This rule applies to all African countries you cannot have a person come to your place without offering food and drink. You should also take a gift if they know you are coming. I live in England it’s not quite the same but most will offer you a cup of tea or coffee or beer in the evenings.

The Nadam Festival in Inner Mongolia is usually held from August 15th to 25th, and there are many programs here: equestrian archery, Mongolian wrestling, bonfire party, dance, meat eating competition, horse racing, and so on. Please note that if someone invites you to drink, do not refuse. This is traditionally impolite, and of course, mare's milk wine has a low alcohol content and may not be drunk. The local people seem so outgoing, it's like a holiday! It's really hard to imagine a meal of meat and tea, so many people here are vegetarians! Due to the little rainfall and sandy thin dirt, agricultural product rare there in the ancient time. If the local regimes has bad relation and loot less with the south regime, the nomads could even cannot had enough tea, no mention vegetables. So meat & milk is the only food there.

I think this is a tour group or group of friends on caravans and cars. This is now a common way of travelling in China. Areas that are vast, they travelled in groups. Also they have travelling "restaurants" or common kitchen. Normally they chipped in so the food is "free". Also these are a mixed of locals and other Chinese travellers from all over China. I have seen similar groups travelling in Xinjiang and Tibet (if not wrong) too. Tibet may have some restrictions.
