Katherine I've spent the last week binge watching all your content. Your channel is genuinely the best I have ever found. I love countryside, mountains, historic buildings, urban planning, sustainability and you make an excellent presenter. So glad I found you :)
Different cultures but smiles, respect and kindness are common denominators. Tanzania should be proud of Winnie for being such a fantastic ambassador and walking advertisement of the country. :D
I've been to Tanzania and a few more places in Africa some 20 or more years ago, and I believe the women are mostly like Winnie. Very lively and happy go lucky type, singing all the way doing chores or just traveling along. Unfortunately I did also see the not very good side of Africa during my presence as an humanitarian worker then. The memories of the children still in my mind. I won't talk about it anymore. Sorry, I'm old and emotional. Shouldn't have brought that up.
You know, there's a ton of content out there with people trying to shove the concepts of "togetherness" and "humanity" etc etc down your throat, like "This man opened the door for his girlfriend, proving that there are still good people out there" and it basically makes me sick. Every video I watch from you reminds me that people are people everywhere you go, and no matter what happens with our governments and societies, there are always going to be really good people out there just living their lives. And watching you and a Tanzanian interact with normal local Chinese people is the real reminder I need to not give up on essentially everyone. Love your videos and the insight to China I would have never had before, thanks!
Such a nice atmosphere, surrounded by happy and optimistic people around you, Katherine. You are so blessed and may you continue to have such wonderful people around you. Akuna matada !! It's a problem free. Your Tanzanian friend is full of energy.❤
We visited beautiful Tanzania and the Serengeti in 2011; yes, the people are so friendly and loving. We visited a Masai village and an Iraqi village and experienced hospitality in their homes....even a school and a Lutheran church! One of the best trips of my lifetime...
Thank you Katherine for sharing this video. It's was fun and happy to watch this video. Winnie was so bubbly and happy, a very good ambassador for Tanzania.
I see a lot of bilateral exchanges between China and Tanzania on twitter, mostly big projects. Crazy to see these exchanges show up on your blog too. 👍
I don't know why when someone with dark color starts to talk you would always have a smile, they always make funny comments and rhyming tones when they talk. I knew it would be fun because I have worked and had colleagues from their country as airline crew. And I love the Chinese kids planting trees. Good job to all of you!🥰🥰
This summer i'm going together with my boyfriend to China! He finally gets to see his family again after 3 years and I'm so happy for him! (but also a bit nervous since it will be the first time I will meet his parents and family in person, any tips for this? Should I bring some gifts or some other things?) Love your videos btw!
Don't be nervous, just prepare your stomach for a variety of delicacies, and don't be surprised to receive big red envelopes with large amounts of cash.
Hope you enjoy your trip ! I would recommend bringing some local specialty snacks of wherever you live , or maybe some kind of cute or interesting local art piece , some kind of thing they can’t find where they live 😁
Aaah Makande, in Indonesia we greet people who visited us : Hayo Makan (let's Eat !)😅, You'd be served Teh manis (Tea with sugar) without you even ask for it .That's Indonesian hospitality. Thanks Catherine for your video. Winnie is the sort of person who can stop a boxing match in a sudden ❤
Tanzania's Zanzibar island definitely on my bucket list. Fischer’s Turaco and Elephant shrews are endemic to the island, hope i'll be able to see them in the wild there.
Incredible vlog Katherine!! Your amazing commentary always mesmerizes me! You are a great ambassador of friendship and it's no surprise that you are best at it. The Tanzanian lady was such a joyful and happy soul. Warm regards from India.
生日快乐!It was fun getting to see the different cultures on display and the desire to engage with each other despite the language barrier. I loved this video so much. I think we all miss Winnie already too
Does your colleague have her own RU-vid channel? She is a radiating ball of energy that we could all use in our life. Thank you for brightening up my day!
@@kats_journey_east You see you have to go undercover and discover what kind of meme worthy stuff they are hiding back there. Why are they so secretive???? What kind of useless hidden treasures are they trying to hide from us? Could it be a Trump head? I want to know, expose it all! 😁😁
Apart from feeling a strong sense of warmth of friendship throughout the whole video, I have learned some new words too-lure, cheap knick-knacks, be intrigued by, etc. I like how Winne wrap up at the end of the excursion (which by the way is a also a new word I learned from another episode): "We are capable to make this world green, to make this world for the current and future generation." Thank you, Katie, lol, for bringing such wonderful contents, which allow me to not only expand my vocabulary, but brings me so much inspiration about what we can do to make a better world for us and the future generation.
this video brings me a joyful feeling. instead of considering a safari in south africa or kenya, i should now consider tanzania as well. love from canada.
oh hey, Nakupenda is i love you. i know that from the intro to Michael Jackson song Liberian Girl. "Naku Penda pia, Naku Taka pia, Mpenziwe" (i love you, i want you, my love) ... all the strange ways we can pick up random words or phrases from other languages. 😅
