Lovely video and delicious recipe . Well presented, too. When I tried the link to find all ingredients, takes you to Waitrose. In the description they left out the water for the sweet and sour sauce. For me water is part of the ingredients??!!! Also to make the batter Waitrose recipe wrote an egg. When on the video it was used 2 eggs yolk only and not the whites. At the end I wrote down all ingredients from the video.
if you were listening and paying attention she said Ketchep was invented in Hong kong to cater for the British expat and her recipe is an Anglicised version
@Ruth Humphreys The Ketchup adding part is an invention that chinese cooks in western chinese restaurant invented. I am not saying it is a bad version of the sauce, but i jsut think as a base one should learn the base first then when the your palet is developed you can experiment with the ketchup.
Watching this is pure torture! My taste buds are going wild. I love Chinese food , imaginative, spicy and MMMmmm! Delicious Sorry but English food is boring.
