This Chinmay guy is out there on a mission to debunk everything we know about physics and cosmology. If he doesn't get Nobel in next few years I'll be highly disappointed.
Chinmay felt so secure when Vimoh said Islam is also oppressive. This is basically what most of the "Hindu Atheists" want to hear. Atheism for people like Chinmay is all about Islamophobia. I have studied history from Age of Empires and now I am a Historian 😂 Don't dare challenge me, I know how heavy cavalry upgrades into Paladins. 😂
😂😂😂wow, didnt expect to see someone who knows about aoe here. And hey i also know that u can hit and run 100 men ar arms with 6 crossbowman, guess thats how mediveal armies worked .I am off to argue with every historian on how what they think about mediveal history is wrong
I am an actual physicist, and I can say that this Chinmay guy is a person who has read something from somewhere that agrees with his worldview and accepts it as an ultimate truth.
He's just a classic upper cast Hindu. Had wealthy parents, was privileged from birth, was good at memorising stuff and went through our education system smoothy and since he faced no problems in Hinduism, he feels that this is the best religion in the world, he is conveniently an atheist not because he questioned his beliefs but because he doesn't need God, when someone probe him about bitter ground realities of his religion, he can easily point to his scriptures which are vague enough to mean anything they want and can dodge the question and his delusion stays maintained.
He's not an atheist. He was trying hard to sway the emphasis to some physicists being religious and the same whataboutism to turn the attention away from hinduism. He is religious, he simply understands that in the rational world your credibility goes down if you depend on make-believe too much so he has assumed the identity of an atheist to double up as a trojan horse in atheistic discourse where he'll ascertain what we don't know about science (bcz obviously no one knows everything), purposely ask us questions on that to give an impression that we clueless as a way of insulting our intelligence and establishing some superiority for public entertainment. Turn rational conversations into some kind of reality tv.
At 5:40, Chinmay complains that Vimoh does not talk (much) Islam or Christianity. I would like to know whether Chinmay goes to RU-vid Channels such as the Atheist Experience and Rationality Rules, or to channels like The Apostate Prophet and Abdullah Sameer and asks them why they talk almost exclusively about Christianity and Islam, but not about Hinduism (SO-CALLED Sanatana Dharma).
The Dunning-Kruger effect happens when people who don't know much about something think they know a lot, and people who are really good at something think they're not that special.
Physicist by training here, I am just amazed how these guys spout these stuff so nonchalantly. If you actually meet hotshot physicists of their fields, they are always very careful not to make blanket assertions. Indeed one of the few things my PhD supervisor always told me was that science was always evolving and growing and the stupidest thing one can do is to be sure that ones view of the world is the "correct" one. I know people who have papers in cosmology who have studied the stuff for years in reputed institutions (Indian and abroad) who would balk at the sentence "i have studied all the models of cosmology". Insane!
I agree with you. I am a mathematician. But unfortunately there are too many people who are very sure about their world view. Science can only be learnt as you know only by doing it.
i think u guys are targetting him for being in the minority. Bullying him for no good .. I dint hear him say anything specific about how the universe came into existence except that a few of the theories were more appealling to him .... he said big bang was not an appealing theory .. so does he not have the right to have a different opinion on what is just a theory and not a fact. We must be kind enough to hear everyone out before getting judgemental about his stand
@@shailnair2243 Yes at this point Big Bang is a theory, a theory to satisfy the observations. And even then there's inconsistency. So it is not a fact as of now. So nothing is absolute here, but I would agree one might point out the inconsistencies but formulating a whole belief on that is not right. After all that belief is also not a fact. All can one do is to point out the inconsistencies and come up with a better mathematical model and to be scrutinized by all.
Vimoh: Lets not get into describing religion… Chinmay: (starts describing religion) Vimoh: Lets talk like adults. Chinmay: Lets talk like Children. And then this guy has the audacity to say “Now we are on the same page.”
Hindus (SO-CALLED Sanatana Dharmists) INTENTIONALLY use the word 'dharma' to mean whatever they want it to mean in a particular conversation. They do this so that they can expediently use whichever meaning they find useful in any given context. A similar thing they do with their claims such as "Hindu Swarga is not the same as Christian heaven" (courtesy, charlatans like Rajiv Malhotra), as though just because Hindu Swarga is different from Christian Heaven, it demonstrates that Hindu Swarga actually exists.
The question is not Hindu Heaven exists or not The question is What is the Ultimate Goal of Dharmic Religions .. the Ultimate Goal is Mukthi or Moskha... Hindu Heaven and Hell are Just Metaphorical...
Its irrelevant, even people with Phds in physics are capable of talking nonsense like this, I have met several, religious people keep aside everything they have studied when they are not in their professional role and revert back to their hard core irrational beliefs
@@flowerinthewild-x5u I agree,I think vimoh should not ask whether someone is professional in that field or not, there are many professional people who are also very irrational and ignorant.
@@shreedharlohar9306 he asked him if he is a physicist to know that if he has a certain knowledge and backing in the field to claim that everything comes from a singularity
As a physics student, I think one does not have to be a physicist formally to speak about it, a formal degree does not necessarily mean someone knows about it either considering how bad our system is, and it is certainly possible to learn physics on your own. But yeah this guy is talking nonsense I think. also to be a materialist one doesn't need to have all the answers, one can be a materialist and still not know how matter came into being its perfectly reasonable in my opinion
Yeah i think with basic study we can learn or say what other scientists agree on or have general consensus about. But unless and until you are actively involved in specific field, its absurd to make claims that lie beyond the current understanding. Even in science there are limits to which something can be hypothesised beyond current knowledge.
@@warrior_of_liberation definitely but that is only those who do active research in that field, simply having a degree doesn't really make one qualified from my interaction with degree holders, as compared to that a laymen who is sufficiently interested and have trained himself/herself can study the results of research with or without degree
@@flowerinthewild-x5u True. Degree is just a medium to know whether someone has knowledge in certain field, but it doesn't make them an authority about the knowledge of that field or that his words or ideas about the same shouldn't be challenged. Thats the beauty of science, anybody can question any idea on valid and reasonable grounds.
Why the professional credentials are asked is, it's unlikely that a professional physicist will use jargon to explain something and importantly they would be very careful on the thoughts they are expressing to avoid being ridiculed at some illogical ideas
Chinmay has a belief system, if he finds anything that corroborates that belief he proceeds to add that to his dictionary and conveniently ignores the rest that opposes his beliefs.. This is representative of rigid thinking that limits his ability to perceive reality as it is and instead leads him to perceive the world in a way that conforms to his beliefs.
I like how he uses words like "arrogant" (17:07) when describing people he doesn't agree with it. There is an underlying hatred he has for people who think differently from him. The arrogance he shows is so off the charts, dude doesn't even answer a single question in a proper way.
Guy is stuck on Max Tegmark who is not even astrophysicist. He works in field of AI...😂😂😂 4 video dekho 3 terms sikho aur physicist ban jaao.. waah Chinmay ji waah😂
Look at the arrogance of this fellow. Despite not being able to support his own ideas he ends the conversation with suggestions on how others should improve.
A small story...a very small story of a man-child and his Ivy League education. This man-child on his wanderings to gather Ivy league knowledge travelled far and wide, until he met up with someone called David Dunning. He was an old man, wise and perceptive, with a Phd from Stanford no less. But it took far more to satisfy our man-child. Our princess would only be satisfied with Ivy League. Ivy League or bust was his motto. So poor David, Stanford only that he was, asked him to meet someone else. A certain Justin Kruger who indeed had an Ivy League Phd from Cornell this time. So our prima donna most happily meets Justin Kruger and tells him all about himself, of his prospective Ivy League learnings, of his impending earth shattering, ground breaking, paradigm altering, shape shifting, heart stopping breakthrus in knowledge that would make almost every other scientific advancement right from the very first light of civilization look like half sucked lollies in the dirt on a melting hot summer day. And the best part of this was that he claimed he could do the same for subjects he actually did not even have any apparent expertise in! So Kruger in disbelief asks him again.... you mean even the ones you know nothing about? Really?!!!!!! And he goes ESPECIALLY the ones I know nothing about. So Kruger immediately rings Dunning up. And goes....listen we must get together immediately. We may have something extraordinary here. So Dunning says.....whadya mean (remember he wasn't Ivy League)? So Kruger goes.....look at this laddie (he was dumbing it down for Dunning knowing he didn't have an Ivy League education like him)!!!!! Have you ever seen anyone, ANYONE who, the lesser and lesser he knew about something was more and more confident about how he was right about the very same thing? So Dunning goes...you mean A COGNITIVE BIAS IN WHICH PEOPLE WITH LIMITED CONFIDENCE IN A PARTICULAR DOMAIN OVERESTIMATE THEIR CAPABILITIES!!!!!!!?????? And Kruger goes.....Praise the Lord!!! We found Ivy League Gold!!!!! And that's how was the Dunning Kruger Effect born.
What a huge poser. Frankly, he doesn't have a good framework for rational thinking, and he's trying to use Ivy League as a certificate for his intelligence. Honestly, I think he's lying about the Ivy League bit just as he lied about being a physicist.
I like how you dealt with his nonsensical sophistry and shut him down. But it was still sort of a waste of 24 minutes of your life and he'll probably waste years of his and others. He is a product of his environment. When you grow up in such higher income group environments detached from ground realities and the everyday issues of common people and have never had much experience with it, this is what you become. He'll only change with some dhakkas in his life or maybe never if that does not happen.
Vimoh:I don't reason behind big Bang Chinnu:I also don't know, but I don't agree..but still we are same page..please agreed that sciencist are fools they don't no nothing then we will be on same page.. actually I was checking my English here..
I think this chinmay guy is secret zakir nayak fanboi, he doesn't understand what theory really means, big bang theory is widely accepted with huge evidence to support it, but no one can discard it without extraordinary evidence against it, and not this chinmay guys, a hypothesis which he also didn't know.
I know I am so late to comment on this video. I just watched and found out that Chinmay just believe in Indian scientists not other countries' scientists. Bro when you survey something globally, you have to visit all countries' scientists.
Always ask them for peer reviewed papers! If they claim that so and so happened. Ask them for a peer reviewed paper, if there are none then its all fancy opinion!
Superb!! The laugh-out-loud arguments! Exposing these claims is a piece of cake. But seriously, don't underestimate these Hindu fanatics-they'll dive to the floor of the Mariana Trench to prove their point! Just watch out, these enthusiasts have a black belt in mental gymnastics. Theists, they’re all cut from the same cloth, ready to pull a rabbit out of a hat with their ‘che-logic’ to back their claims. I tune into these videos just for a masterclass in ‘What not to do in logical reasoning’. I also watch these videos to collect prime examples of logical fallacies. BTW, the caller here is a comedy gold!
23:04 Vimoh: have you attended lectures of physicists at Oxford etc and asked them questions? Chinmay: yes Vimoh: to whom you have asked questions? Chinmay: Why would ask them questions about physics? I would ask non-physicist like you 😂😂😂😂
It is funny when somebody criticises Hinduism their immediate retort is mulle, ricebag convert etc. Chimnay was trying to label Vimoh somewhat in that category. Failed miserably😭😭 I don't think anybody can win an argument against an Atheist😂😂
A very important point that people like Chinmay seem to misunderstand is how scientific method actually works. If something is unknown doesn't mean it's unknowable. Scientific knowledge of incremental in nature depending on the incoming data. And what is not known or properly understood at present is clearly defined with a big question mark art the end of it. Science doesn't make up answers. It waits for the data. That question mark is it's bigger strength.
Bro came in extremely bad faith. You don't have to be a physicist to speak on physics but you have to have some academic credibility to debunk any hypothesis. It's a well known fact that we know nothing about the big bang and therefore it's a hypothesis but to come here and grill someone on something that no one knows to show them they don't know is redundant and motivated. And what did he accomplish with this? Absolutely nothing.
In 2015, there was no consensus on the nature of this and other observed anomalies[19] and their statistical significance is unclear. For example, a study that includes the Planck mission results shows how masking techniques could introduce errors that when taken into account can render several anomalies, including the axis of evil, not statistically significant.[20] A 2016 study compared isotropic and anisotropic cosmological models against WMAP and Planck data and found no evidence for anisotropy. pura kisi ko nehi parna hai but baako baako
Dude says he's gone through cosmological models of how the universe came to existence and ends the sentence with "they don't explain how matter came to existence"... So what did the models explain?? How to make rajma chawal??
Islam is largely irrelevant for vast number of INDIAN Hindus. Its certainly very relevant for Pakistani, Bangladeshi Hindus, no dispute in that. So basically insistence to talk about Islam by these folks is a way to avoid discussion on Hinduism.
Their feeling is so bullshit when brahma pregnant her own daughter they don’t get hurt but when we speak simple truth they always get hurt with the truth kyun ki sach kadwa hota h ✅💯 and yes how you’re controlling your anger from this bullshit Vimoh !😐
Jeez, shove ur religious crap into yet to be answered scientific theory & become the cool physicist messiah of the internet 😂 hats off to ur patience man🫡
And the readon why bing bang is taken as yhe best model is because we havr a lot of evidence backing it up. And we know exactly what happened after yhe big bang until some microseconds after it. Just because it doesn't make sense for some random guy doesn't make it wrong
Chinmay, look you don't need science degree is not required to talk about science because they can read work of actual scientist, and if you are going to discard the most accepted and the thing we can see as cmbr. You need to be a scientist and show required evidence. You cannot just discard it.
