On this day - 8th March 2018 , International Women's Day, S.Aishwarya & S.Saundarya pay tribute to the memory of Mahakavi Subramanya Bharati who had immortalised the little baby girl - Kannamma, through his classic poem "Chinnanchiru Kiliye Kannamma"
S.Aishwarya & S.Saundarya are the Great Grand Daughters of Bharat Ratna M.S.Subbulakshmi and the Grand Daughters of Dr Radha Viswanathan.
S.Aishwarya began learning Carnatic Music from her 4th year from her Great Grandmother and Grandmother. From her 4th to 6th year she also learnt from Smt Sharanya Krishna, a disciple of Smt Suguna Purushothaman. She has been under the tutelage of Karnataka Kalashree Smt Jambu Kannan for the last 16 years. She has trained under Vidwan A Shankar Raman with the Veena. Aishwarya has also been learning Hindustani Music from Pandit Nagaraj Rao Havaldar and Sri Omkar Havaldar. She is also under advanced training with Violin Maestro Vidwan V V Subrahmanyam.
S.Saundarya trains under Sangita Kala Acharya Vidushi Smt Neela Ramgopal and also learns dance (Vazhuvoorar Bani) from Smt Sumitra Nitin. Saundarya is under the tutelage of Smt Anuthama Murali (a disciple of Vidushi Sangita Kalanidhi A Kanyakumari) under whom she trains on violin & has also been learning Hindustani Vocal under Sri Omkarnath Havaldar.

Beautiful! Superb!! Amazing performance! Also heard them live yesterday (1 Feb 2019) prior to the Violin peformance of my wife Sangeeta and daughter Nandini Pune. Both the siblings are the great Smt MS Subhalakshmi incarnate (and her great grand-daughter). How is such a replica possible, unless God exists and executes his divine plan to spread joy amongst all in the world. Ever grateful for this experience!!! As we walked into the concert area in Pune I wondered who is singing just like MS Subhalaskhmi - that too two voices!! I had to figure who they were, during a break between two items by googling their names. Wow!! Thank you!!!

Excellent ...Cant stop thinking about MS amma. Just want to share, I was told by my Mother about MS amma right from my Childhood. I saw Amma first as Meera (Thanks DD) and I saw almost all her movies and collected lots of her Cassettes and later CD's. I always asked my Mother I want to see MS amma (just we lived in T.nagar not very far from Koturpuram) but somehow we thought may be they wont allow us to see her even if we go.....finally I saw her on December 11 , 2004., yes on her last day, her face was like a white lotus and she sleeping like a Angel. I cant forget that still.....

Yet another son by the Great poet Bharathi sung by these girls Aiswarya & Soundarya is a treat to watch and hear. So many rich tradition, legacy, art and the reforming Bharathisl's thoughts, ideas and ideology , all in one song is really a wonder, non parallel. Great!!!

Its sad that being a north indian i dont understand Tamil, if that is the language used here. So melodious, even when i couldnt understand a word. I landed here while reading about Subramaniya Bharti. . An Indian must know ancient Indian languages, lest, such rich cultural heritage goes uncherished by all.

Should encourage and appreciate it....As a tamilan i love all my Indian languages cultures and beautiful people....still i remember the pledge i taken in my school days..."I love my country...all Indians are my brothers and sisters....but i dont why now people forgetting those lines and started fighting for their race, language and some stupidity....where is that unity in diversity? Really so impressive melodious voice of the two singers. I think they seem to be sisters. It reminds me of Shubha Lakshmi a divine singer.
