Someone mentioned that version 4 is all about the playstyles that have been neglected. Frem doing shatter, furina buffing healers, chevy making overload valid, navia doing insane dmg while making geo crystals worth making, etc. From the looks of it chiori is a geo off fielder, but also can provide a more consistent microwave with her constructs. Im thinking her and zhongli will probably be locked together because of it. Since she is dual scaling, using atk + def, she can be functional on both atk and def scaling teams. Cant wait to see how she actually functions.
Ngl her kit is giving me standard banner vibes. Not to mention she's a .5 character too, I hope I'm wrong tho and that she gets buffed so all the Chioi wanters can actually be happy with her.
She’s looks like she’s dual scaling like nahida and alhaitham rather than split scaling like albedo. Hopefully her puppet range is decent. If it’s melee range then it’ll be a bit of a hassle to play around.
@@1983Oli if a new player gets chiori over Kazuha or neuvilette their account will be far worse then if they did get one of those 2. She only really works well with Itto for now.
Excited to hear the c6 guide in the future! I am going to c6 her. Do you know if her c6 on-field damage would be viable in a team with Gorou, Yunjin, and Yelan, or would it be better to play her as an off-fielder on an Itto team? I don’t know which team to invest in yet.
At c6 with practically infinite Geo infusion i think it's worth it running her on field or as a quick swap DPS with Naiva or someone else. I'll run simulations to see which teams are better for her C6.
I have a question,would for artifacts a 2pc 2pc atk also work? I was then planning on running her w a Def sands and an er weapon.I rlly dont wanna farm again 😭
I get the hate for monogeo characters, but well unfortunately im stuck in that wrap haha. Will probs pull for her for two reasons. 1. I dont have albedo and have been running triple geo flex for the longest time. 2. If her passive that increases movement speed based on your glider is true, then its a positive for making mono geo bareable somewhat to travel over world. (Jeez genshin add some mount or smthing)
Do we need more split scaling characters? Do we need more mono-geo characters? Are they planning on making a change to the geo element? What's Hoyo trying to do here? I am genuinely curious.
I thought they were doing something with crystalizes, before Navia came out there was something going around about making crystalize like bloom or something. Maybe they will do something about, they are adding more Geo character after all, hope it's all adding up to something new.
I was hoping that Shatter & Crystalize reactions would be "updated" in Fontaine, similar to how Dendro revitalized multiple units who were falling out of use. While Navia is awesome, I wish more was being done to improve Geo reactions (and Physical dmg). Honestly, I think the Shatter reaction needs to be revamped entirely because there is no real viable use for it. Geo needs to have more units that can function outside of mono-geo teams aside from Zhongli and Navia.
Since Itto and Gorou are always locked together, I think Chioris kit was made mostly for mono Geo teams so that Itto keeps up with the meta. Itto deserves tho
C1 makes having a Geo construct not necessary, but it still requires having another Geo character in your team. But Imo C1 is better since there are alot of good weapon alternatives for Chiori.
From her current kits, she looks like a better albedo. In Itto teams, she is indeed an upgrade. But for Navia team, idk. Navia probably only need a GEO Chevreuse. A Support that revolves around Cristalize, and Chiori doesnt play anything with that. At least even with Albedo, he give 120 EM to strengthen cristalize shield. Chiori does not bring anything other than damage. At this current time, Navia might be better paired with Noelle instead.
Its kind of a bummer that Chiori basically has to be played with at least one other Geo unit. Geo's biggest issue is that most of the characters can only function optimally in pairs or in dedicated teams because they can't increase damage via reactions like other elements. Hoyo should ultimately revamp Shatter/Crystalize reactions to provide additional damage or a debuff (resistance shred). They could also push Geo into more support/heal roles using crystalize - for example: a Geo healer who generates a shield that reflects a portion of enemy damage back as Geo to proc crystalize reactions, then provides healing off picking up the shard(s).
Xianyun is pretty good she provides and new playstyles to units that can help boost characters like Hu Tao, Diluc etc that can benefit from charged attacks.
