You can tell straight away that they are Paulsons by the way they stack together. They sit so tightly that the stack looks like a connected cylinder. It’s so nice on the eyes. I need them.
@@chipsandachair4221 I went to my local casino today and asked them if I could get 300 of their $1 chips. I figured this would be the easiest and cheapest way to get secondary casino level chips. Surprisingly they took my name and number down and said they would call me back haha. I regret not asking them if they are Paulson chips but I imagine they have to at least be similar?? It’s a huge casino.
Absolutely love my Paulsons, own a set of 1200. Use them for cards and roulette. One of my favorite things is the smell of the chips...no one ever mentions this feature. Enjoyed your video.
Right, I'm heading off to give mine a quick sniff, as I've never noticed the smell before, haha! Glad you enjoyed the video (plenty more to come), and thanks for subscribing - means a lot!
Ahhhh, thank you! Wish I hadn't sold this set in hindsight. You know what? I have absolutely no idea where the NYNY chips are, hahah! I might have received them at a later date, I think.
Just bought 60 fat hats oversized 48mm Paulsons. I have 500 Rounders replicas as well and thought those were the top tier, but omg the Paulsons are the best.
Completely agree with you. I invested only in Paulson chips, the rest are not holding values. It sounds and feels the best. I have a full set of Horseshoes Cleveland. Love it. Keep you the good video.
Ahhhh, those Horeshoe Cleveland chips are brilliant and, like you said, nothing beats the sound and feel of Paulsons! The fact that they hold their value well is an added bonus! Thanks for your kind words - new videos coming soon.
I have a custom set of Paulson solids that I purchased many years ago while in Vegas. I used to play home games with them, but now they are relegated to my gun safe. Because of their value and memories to me, I have no problem doing this. I started with a 300 chip set and now have 500 in a very nice case. Grey, white, pink, red, yellow, green and black. Not for sale.
I don't blame you, Jeff, as you can't put a price on memories! Is your set one with your initials hot stamped onto the chips, as Paulson used to do for the public?
@@chipsandachair4221 Actually no, one side has gold foil value stamp and the other side has a specialty mark from a die that I had made to hot stamp them. I still have it and tried to get more chips from supplier, now out of business and as you know, its a no-go, can't get anymore of these fine chips.
Will do - just about to send you an invite (I'm the one with the cigar in my profile pic, BTW). Looking for your profile - the Eagles shirts profile pic?
Thanks for your kind words, much appreciated! They are just blank 16 Stripe chips (I put the custom label on myself) I got on clearance from a company called chipsandgames.com - although I just checked their website and it doesn't look like they have any left online? Worth giving them a ring though just in case, as they are great chips for the money, in my opinion.
@@lorenzojosephgarcia That's fair enough. At least you know you have them there if you do want to use them (although they're also just beautiful to look at and not use).
Did I hear correctly that you re-labeled them all? So if they are Paulsons then the old labels (inlays actually) would have been 'compressed' into the chip during manufacturer which I guess means that they don't peel off, so you just glued a sticker over them? Why did you do that?
That's correct - on all fronts! Instead of fully replacing the original factory inlay (which is indeed possible and something I will touch upon in my next video), I decided to "overlabel" these as I wanted to preserve the inlay if I decided to sell (which I eventually did). Being able to simply peel off the overlabel and clean the residue off meant I was able to essentially sell them in their original state - which helps preserve their value. Hope this all helps, but happy to answer any more questions.
@@chipsandachair4221 Thanks, and I did also just see your response on PCF. So my thought was if it's even possible to remove a compressed-in inlay, but apparently it is. Is your next video out? I'd like to see how that's done.
@@vichardy3504 Next video isn't out yet, but this is a good one which shows how it's done: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vprJBQs8wck.html
Holly molly are you RIGHT! I thought it was a hoax. I finally got my hands on a set of 10. After shuffling them ONCE it was like crack lol. I instantly knew I was screwed 🤣. I hate to say it, but yes, it's not the name that's wanted it's actually thier performance....
Chips and a Chair Llanelli/Swansea. I've recently become obsessed with poker chips. I have a set of CPC Atlantic clubs and a set of 800 EPT tournament ceramics. Now I'm eyeing up some custom ceramics from BRPokerPro.
Always great to meet a fellow Welsh chipper (not many of us about, I do t think) - are you a member of Poker Chip Forum yet? My next video is actually going to be about the new ceramics I had made from a company in China - they are awesome quality and cheap as chips (literally). I'll send you the link if you want? Ahhhh, I love those CPC chips you have - simple yet classy. How long have you had them for?
Chips and a Chair i'm not a member no. I plan to get involved soon though. I've literally bought all my chips within the last 2 months. Yeah I'll take a link. I'm almost fully settled on BrOokerPro because they make the tikis and the nevada jacks but i'm open to looking.
