Chips ahoy deffiently changed from years ago. But I still love them dunked in a glass of milk. But I honestly love the Walmart brand better. I don’t taste the fruity part in them like he said. But both r great.
Chips ahoy is a far cry from what it used to be. He noticed the less crunchy texture, I also noticed that with Chips ahoy and the lackluster flavor. I tried the reduced fat version of chips Ahoy when they did make them and they seemed to have the flavor and crunchiness I remember from chips ahoy however, they stopped making those. I tried coming back to chips ahoy many times to see if they changed the recipe back but they never did. I did try Walmarts Chippers and even the kiddos prefer the taste of them over chips ahoy. We are not getting the overtone taste that you were speaking of. I guess it really boils down to preference and we prefer Walmart Chippers Chocolate chip cookies over Chips Ahoy chocolate chip cookies. The taste difference over rides child hood sentiment and memories.
As a kid (70s/80s) Chips Ahoy was my favorite snack. Glass of milk, handful of Chips Ahoy and cartoons. Then they started messing with the formula over and over - you're right they are not what they used to be. Don't know why companies mess with a good thing - all to save a buck I guess. BTW - I prefer my Walmart Chippers these days.
I never had the great value cookies... but at work we did blind taste test with chips ahoy, Keebler and aldi brand... the aldi brand won for both original and chewy... hands down... almost unanimously... this was interesting... since close in price I’d get the chips ahoy...
I am definitely an Aldis shopper... whereas you seem to shop at Walmart... I just think the quality of Aldis products is a lot higher... but Walmart offers a larger variety...
I figured... I think aldi is much higher quality than Walmart... especially for produce and healthy foods... Walmart always seems to charge more for the healthier options
Do you think the initial thoughts would be different if you tasted the knock off brand first? I wonder if there would be higher scores if you went in blank slate.
the best way to do this comparison is by putting the whole cookie's in your mouth and chewing, and im eating chippers right now as i am looking for reviews on them.
I found your channel by searching RC cola I'm watching all of your videos I have a question do I have permission to react to your videos on my RU-vid I will give you credit in the video and the description
Please review Great Value Stack Attack Original Chips VS Pringles Original Chips The winner between those goes against Trader Joes Potato Crisp Saddles. IMO Stack attacks are the best.
They must’ve changed the recipe or something because I just had the GV cookies last night (chewy) and they were absolutely disgusting. They tasted like cardboard and they weren’t even really chewy. In this case I see why all other cookies are $3+ and there’s is only $1. Saved money by getting them but ultimately still wasted my money. Couldn’t even stomach more than two drowned in milk
Too bad this before they changed their recipe now Chips Ahoy taste like those dollar cookies at the bottom near the actually good tasting frosted oatmeal cookies store brand. Awful now and very disappointing.
✋ WARNING : THIS VIDEO IS IN ERROR... AN 18 oz pack of CHIPS AHOY cookies cost $4.85 (and that's at a discount dollar store) WHILE an 18 oz pack of GREAT VALUE CHIPPERS cost $2.62 .. That is a HUGE DIFFERENCE in price for the same amount of cookies
