Bonnie this is just what I needed to start my day. I have so much university work all pilling up and I felt so smothered. This morning I woke feeling so down in the dumps and put on frumpy comfy clothes and scraped my hair back, looked longingly at the makeup and then sat at my desk for the 10th day in a row and felt the tears well up. Saw in my email that you had uploaded and my heart lifted... something to look forward to! Went and got a cup of coffee and in proper Hoellein style found myself a 'treat' and pressed play. It was so fun and relaxing to watch your video... honestly feel like I'm sitting down for a chin wag with a girlfriend when I watch you videos and today got to live vicariously through your beautiful makeup. It was so nice to tune out of my life and into your sweet little world instead for 15 minutes. Excited to do my own again tomorrow (maybe!) haha! I love your make up videos and they bring me so much joy. No more tears for me today (fingers crossed!).... after this comment I'm going to do my work and get it done- these essay's won't know what hit them! +Bonnie Hoellein I LOVE your long lashes Bonnie do you use anything to make them grow that long if you do share the tip. I'm like you too but instead of my eyebrows falling it's my eyelashes :( LOVED the tutorial you should make like a 10-15 min challenge for busy mommies! 💄

Bonnie, you have such a great personality that I could watch you fold laundry and still be entertained! I also have the same problem with foundations, ESPECIALLY drugstore ones! Might have to go to sephora or mac and ask if they have a foundation in the color wednesday adams. ;)

I've never noticed how much you look like your dad. The normality of your video is a breath of fresh air. Loved this makeup video. You're spontaneous comments about the children and about life mixed with helpful info ie the brands of products and the types of brushes - all blend together to create something highly enjoyable for all of us viewers. I got some great tips and I totally agree with you about eyeshadow. If you do a dab of lighter powder on the inner corner of the eye it creates a subtle eyeshadow effect that is all many of us need to create a slightly heightened drama to the eyes. Your top is a very pretty color with your stunning hair and the pink lipstick. Hope you will do more makeup tutorials, Bonnie. Maybe you could do makeup and lipstick demonstrations that go with different colors of outfits ie when to use earth tones and when to bust out the pinks, corrals, maroons or poppy reds and then there's make up for Hallowe'en or theatrical makeup - so much that can be explored. So many of us pick up one idea here and one ideal there so we might have missed some of the basics of how to apply cosmetics. It's absolutely fine to repeat whatever you consider to be the main essentials in each makeup demonstration. Excellent vlog !!!

So happy you did this video. I just had my third baby 3 days ago and he has a tongue tie which has made nursing hard for him. So I've had to pump. while I'm pumping I try to watch a video that is as long as I need to pump and yours was perfect. So nice to watch and get my mind of others things and pass the time quick!! thanks bonnie!!

I was excited when I saw you posted another makeup video! I love your family vlogs too (who wouldn't with your adorable family!!) but as makeup lover it's nice to watch your makeup tutorials now and again as well. Oh my gosh YAS!!! The telescopic mascara is my favorite, I've literally been using it for like 2 years and haven't purchased any other mascara since, I always have at least 4 different tubes at a time lol. CarliBybel suggested it and uses it and I am absolutely loving the Brow Wiz ever since watching your brow tutorial.

Just more "life in general" rather than just the makeup you're using (don't get me wrong I love hearing about that too haha) but it seems like a great cathartic way to open up and is a more easy/casual way of talking about things that we would all love to hear!! xoxox

Although I do load up on foundation, concealer and contour, I leave my eyes bare just like you! Lol. I loved this! i'm so glad you added in a beauty video because i'm always wondering what products you are using! your makeup is gorgeous! the mat velvet foundation has been a holy grail of mine for awhile. it's what i wore on my wedding day so i swear by it. it's a great summertime foundation for warmer weather. can't wait to see the video you and ellie made. -jess
I'm 20 and I've never really wore make up. I wasn't really brought up with anyone doing their make up unless they went out. I only have 1 brush (dont ask what kind lol). I wouldn't know where to start with products and I have no idea how to apply it lol I wear BB cream but thats all. Can you please do a video for beginners. I would like to see a very basic look. What products to buy (brushes included) and how and where to apply products and why these products are used. Like I said I have never really wore make up before so I would like it too be natural. Nothing too crazy. 😀

Woo hoo on the lóréal telescopic my favorite!!!! And I'm the same way I only put it on the top lashes. I have itty bitty lashes to none at all so the fine wand works wonders!
I have to try this foundation! I have such fair skin that it is SO hard for me to find the right shade! Another one you might try is the IT Cosmetics CC Cream. It's full coverage, but not too heavy & they have really like shades that work for me!
Bonnie!! I'm new to your channel... but oh my can I relate to you about the skin color. I use the makeup forever in that same shade because it truly is the only foundation in my color. I love watching makeup videos and often times people will say "I have the lightest skin ever" but they don't even know!! like you, I can't use a wide variety of foundations because even the lightest color is too dark!! I totally resonated with everything you said about foundatuon! consider me your newest fan!!
Thank you for this video and also your tips on how to entertain your lil one while making time for yourself. You honestly inspired me to do so much better, ever since i had my baby i don't use make up, i invest all the time getting my girl ready and cute to go out even if that means going to the grocery store for a gallon of milk and then what ever time is left i just dress very casual so i don't have to invest any more time in me. I really want to change that because i dont feel pretty 89% of the time and every time i see you with 4 kids ( all of them look very cute) and you look sooooo pretty with make up and hair done... It gives me so much joy. You even make time to go to the gym and thats something Im trying to do.

I love all your videos (I have 3 kids 11years, 5 years & 8 months) but I especially appreciate your beauty videos. I find myself thinking of your tips as I do my make-up every day and wonder what you would think....HA! When you talk about cutting hair I get frustrated that I don't live near you to cut mine! I got a "trim" a few weeks ago and I hate it...she took too much off and thinned it without asking me and I hate that! When you were talking about trimming hair in the video about trimming your bushes I thought "see this is why I need Bonnie!" LOL I also always picture your dad watching your videos like this one which makes me smile because Im sure he watches every one of them, he seems so smitten by you, I love to see that.
Hi Bonnie! I have the same problem with finding a foundation light enough for my skin. I recently found the Manic Panic Foundation that comes in a pure white shade and it's PERFECT for mixing in with a foundation to lighten it to match my skin tone. And it's only about $10 on amazon :)
I'm not one for doing make up..I was never taught and use eye liner once in a while. I did enjoy watching this video and you look so beautiful(even without) i will be going back and watching some of your other makeup videos.. Have a great week...
