I really like this battle report because, despite the simpler equipment, it takes the time to present the units involved in a calm manner and to explain the current move at the decisive points. This makes it very easy to follow the game and understand everything. This makes it really fun to watch.

Undead take a morale test. If they fail then they take a crumble check. Love regiments, keep doing them!

Great game. Couple things, you can pre measure in every OPR game so you are good to go. Undead was changed. You take the morale and only if you fail do you crumble. Look forward to more Regiments games.

Just love your Battle Reports - interesting “narrative” combined with clear description of dice rolls make for really enjoyable watching. Sadly, at 72, I can’t find anyone locally near my age to battle with, so have to play both sides myself, using even more simplified One Page Rules. Apart from a new “Kill Team” all of my skirmish units are from around 25 years ago (Space Marines, Orcs, Necrons, Gondor Soldiers,, Elves, Uruk-Hai and Goblins - and all still in good condition). Looking forward to more of your work in 2024 😁🇦🇺👍

Love me some OPR Regiments. It's gameplay wise the best iteration of GF/AOF as the regiment movement just add this tiny bit of tactical layer that makes it really rewarding.

Awesome to these classic minis on the table. I've been wanting to get some of my old fantasy armies out on the table. I'll probably play Warlords of Erehwon, Age of Fantasy or maybe even Warhammer: the Mass Combat Fantasy Role-Playing Game - aka 1st edition WHFB.

Hey, guys! Really enjoy your BatReps you and Lynn are always fun. It also makes me happy you do non GW-games. I've been playing through a Five Parsecs campaign for a while now. Maybe you guys could play one in co-op? That'd be pretty cool. Although, you probably don't do YT full-time so it might be too hard. Just one thing why didn't Viggo join with a unit? If he was a part of a unit he couldn't be targeted directly until the unit had all died or broken apart. Also, his quality would've been used in stead (not sure if that it's very high, though) but I've only played a lot of Grimdark Future: Firefight and read through the Advanced GF rules so the fantasy rank and flank game might be different, so I dunno. Anyway! Keep up the great work!

Excellent battle report! Great combo of old models and grade A new rules (OPR AoFR)

Thank you for the video! This is the first one from your channel that I see and I liked it. Sound effects are subtle and add flavour. Flow of battle is also clear. Few friendly rules nots: As long as armies are deployed 24" apart smaller tables work well even without halving ranges. Especially for smaller point games, like this one. Yes, premeasuring is always allowed :) Undead rule causes wounds only after a failed morale test, so Wolves, archers and Zombies should have tested Quality before rolling for crumble. Peasants hit on 6+, not 5+, like in 3rd round shooting. Men-at-arms are 5+/5+, not 4+/4+. Losing half of the army does not cause any morale test (it happens only in skirmish). Please do more OPR :)

So much fun to watch a battle report like this! More please! The Regiments rules for AoF are simple enough to pick up by just watching making it really watchable to anyone with a basic understanding of wargames. Never played a rank and file game (mostly because of all the painted minis required 😅) but this has me considering getting into it.

Great battle report. I'm more into skirmish games but it was fun seeing a opr regiments game play out.

Awesome video. To help mitigate the all or nothing effect of the catapult maybe you could add a house rule where the catapult hits on one less but does only half the damage dice on that hit and the old minimum to hit number. Therefore, half damage on 4s and 5s and full on 6s. Can't wait for the next battle report!

Amazing video. You played the unread wrong however. The devastating crumble check is only made after you 'fail' a moral test. Undead take a moral test. If passed nothing happens. If failed count as pass, then roll for every model 1-3 is a wound. You played it like they automatically failed every moral test ahead of time. Still loved it but those knights had it easy with an undead army that couldn't pass a single moral test 😁

I will echo some things others already said and tell that I love your presentation. You give enough time to explain and show the reason for each move and dice roll without dwelling too long on it and it results in engaging and dynamic video that is also easy to follow and actually understand the reasoning and tactics behind!

Damn, old models have so much character! Wish they would do a mod of AoF:R to mimic KoW, I've been spoiled by it and hate individual model removal now.

Questions, guys: Why are Foot Knights only aloud to move sideways 1,5 inches? In the current rulebook it is written: "The unit may also move sideways or backward by up to half its move instead of moving forward (may still pivot)." I thought the standard movement is 6 inches so that makes 3 inches imho. Even if they are slow it reduces the movement to 4 inches, what makes it 2 inches instead. Other than that: Great battle report! Looking forward to my own first match on wednesday. Cheers from Berlin!

I'd call it a better version of the 'old world'. A version where the rules don't require hours and hours to read, and a very thick wallet to buy.

Was the old D&D dice one of those where you had to paint the numbers?

Blows my mind that people are even excited about WH: TOW since there are already so many other games that have cropped up since they chopped the game back when AoS came out. We have OPR: Regiments and Kings of War both of which offer up so much of that old school feeling and decent and accessible rules along with tons of 3rd party models and STL's that looks either just as good or better than official GW models at this point. GW to me is just out of touch with their player base and is just trying so hard to cash in on old players nostalgia for those golden days of GW games.
