Chivalry 2 - Two Handed Spear Guide + Tips & Tricks

Criminally underrated channel. Quality guide, specially damaging your teammates for kills, sometimes sacrifices must be done to stomp the enemy team, chad move.

Good video. I main spear myself in TO’s and comp events, but I also used to main it in 1v1s. My tip is in a 1v1 situation in TO’s, try using the overhead a lot. Against an opponent who is looking for a stab, it really throws over their rhythm, and you can even combo it with either another overhead, or into a heavy stab.

I feel really dirty when using spears but there's no denying that they can be really strong! My main issue is that after awhile, they get really boring for me. I'd rather use a weaker weapon that is more fun to use. Just my 2 cents!

What an evil job, even one mediocre spear user is a nightmare to play against! You need to clear your karma, make a vid how to counter this!

and also try using first person in some cases. You get a better idea of where your stabs are going in first person view. Like in the corridors of rudhelm castle, often, it is very narrow and it gets cramped by teammates and enemies. To make your stabs more accurate, switch to first person so that you can hit your enemies more easily and so that you won't accidentally stab your teammates or so that your teammates won't block your stabs. If it's in a wide area though, it's probably better to use third person for the extra peripheral view.

Are you constantly hitting mouse wheel up, or constantly hitting LMB? Is there a difference?

Question, since spears basically have 2 stabs, the lower stab and the upper stab. When it comes to countering, if you are playing against a spear, with any other weapon than a spear, do you need to counter a low stab with a horizontal slash (since they share default input) and an upper stab with a stab of your own? Do you understand what I mean? Same goes the other way around, if I am playing with a spear and my opponent has a sword fir example, can I counter their horizontal slash with my lower stab (again since the default input is the same) and a stab with an upper stab? Or are you simply unable to counter horizontals with a spear?

I can't stop using the war club it's so good for fighting multiple enemies, but this does look very effective.

This is a very good video and I like your style of teaching/tips. That said, spears in this game are ridiculously broken and lack a proper counter. The problem is not 1v1, in which you could say the better player can usually win. The problem is that if a spear user is involved in a Xv1 there is literally NOTHING the player being attacked can do. I've played both 1h and 2h spear and the KD you can achieve with minimal effort and practice in TO is absolutely stupid, not to mention rather boring to play. I think the solution would be to give spears their slash attack back, with hit stop like a blunt weapon, while making their stab combos slower and easier to interrupt with very small stam drain. 1h spear special needs to cost way more stamina, but otherwise the damage is pretty much fine on both. Liked and subbed!

hey i only use heavy overhead and back dash - it does 73 dam and oneshots most of the units ;D

Kannst du mal ein Langschwert / Longsword guide machen? Also das ganz normale Schwert was man als Ritter direkt am Anfang hat? Ich spiele das Schwert sehr gerne weil es auch sehr coole Skins dafür gibt und ich es eher Standard mag. Man kann sich drüber streiten ob es Sinn macht das in der Schlacht jeder 2. Mit einem Hammer rumläuft... 😅

Spear has no horizontal slash, yet hitting multiple enemies with a side stab is just as good, and you can actually kite multiple enemies while strafing in a 1v 3.

is it just me? or is teh spear special attack not working for anyone else? i've gone through about 3-4 videos and not one has gone over the special

I've always wondered why the horizontal slash of the spear in Chivalry 1 is not in 2

If you use the input for a horizontal slash, would the game consider it a stab for countering?

stupid question is there a way to do "strong" stab without changing your buttons in the options ? I noticed with any other weapon that is not a spear you get stab by using mouse wheel, to get strong stab to other weapons I had to change my keays

Is there a different between left click and wheel up for spear?

What guide? Just keep your distance and stab everywhere. Literally all you need to do. Mindless as fuck, and makes you feel like a pro. Overpowered as hell.

Should I use stab or normal slash attack button? Will they do the same movement?

Hi, i didn’t know and i didn’t understand how make faint rotation animation with spear like in minute 2.03 and 5.37.

When I run the 1 handed spear I stab through my team a lot. I use a lot of these tips with the one handed spear… it’s just not as good
