I remember you always being the top of the leader boards in the four alphas I played. Every game you were in I could always expect you to come out of nowhere swinging your maul like a mad man. One time I distinctly remember ducking your small swing just like you showed in the video and I decapitated your maul guy. I'm not going to lie it was satisfying because you would always beat me in matches. You typed in chat "Nice Duck" because it was smooth AF lol. I said to myself "I bet that dude has a RU-vid he's on Chiv 2 all the time". Months later RU-vid recommends this video to me. Crazy, good times.
Honestly, a great - nay, fantastic beginner's guide. Short, clear, well-spoken and to the point. I love it. Take a sub. PS: Chiv2 is off to a good start if you ask me. It's a lot cleaner than my first hours in Mordhau were back in launch (still: great game that).
@@DreadedLad88 Yeah, the servers worked and weren't crashing nonstop like every other multiplayer game on release. Especially given they got 64 players running around a map like crazy maniacs.
watched like 8 different combat guides in combat and this is one of the best guides out there. really detailed and those slow mo with explaining how things work really helped.
I still have yet to get understanding on how to block hi and block low like what's the difference how do I block my left side and not my right I'm so confused Like what do I do with my controller
Something to add to the "Soft Respawn." Multiple instances of healing will speed up the rate of regen. If you're sitting by a resupply, especially one that resupplies instantly, and you need to regen to full health, it is quicker to stack bandages. Awesome guide monte. Glad you made this. No one is better suited atm.
Hey glad you liked it! And while this is true, it’s important to note that ressuply boxes have a limited supply. They are refilled after a short cool down, but if you take more than you need you will make your own team, or enemies, have to wait longer!

The good players are smashing me. It's a fun game to learn, great video. I can watch good players for hours. I did learn quickly from other game play, to use my suroundings to screw up their attacks. There are so many things you can get behind so they have to chase you around.
I hope this game continues to get more and more stuff as things go along. It’s got a lot of potential and just seems like a really fun place to screw around.

On your last point team damage does not stop your heal. You can actually see it in the clip at the end he gets hit by a teammate at 11:09 but continues healing.
thats been my exprince too..people are stupid...and stupid hard to track...im just glad they dont punish you too hard for friendly fire..becuse with a bow its for sure gunna happen

6:56 that's a great tip. I'm new to the genre and during the beta i was so confuse because some enemy's attacks would get through even though i was holding block. Anyway, you got a new sub. Good job.
Great editing; also you're a god sent. The only melee based fps game I've played before was For Honor and it does NOT translate. Fighting veterans on duel servers is hard but luckily I now have a guide! Great video
Kinda crazy they allowed players to rack up 400 hours of playtime and practice before release of the game, glad you're using your knowledge to help others and not just stomping!
I watched this video today after realizing I was bad. I actually played against you Montessoir and I didn't even realize it until I came back to this video to watch it again in case I missed anything. This video is great, helped me a lot. I even got to kill you once (you had 1 hp and it took like 5 of us to kill you lol) I remember you bodied me in a 1v1 off to the side at one point and I said good fight and you said thanks. There’s a turn cap, so it doesn’t matter too much! You need a good mix of speed to be able to look around and respond, but not too fast that you can’t aim your cursor. Personally I play on default sensitivity with a DPI of 3200
