the tip with not morphing too much with heavy weapons is actually something i needed to hear and im mad that i didnt even thought about it as a polehammer and heavy mace player
The fun thing about ambushers is that they can kill off low health or downed enemies with the throwing knives. And once you get the last weapon, the spiked club thingy, you just become a maniac. That weapon recovers so quick. It does low base dmg but better *rate* of dmg
I was going Knight for a long time, Then when i tried Vanguard, Vanguard became my favourite, of course when i first played Chivalry 2, i naturally started with the Knight class, i will always honor the Knight class, but Vanguard expresses me more and better.
By the way food for though if you wish to become the best player at chiv you need superb movement that means 24 dimensional movement generally speaking you want to be able to look where ever while moving however i recommend getting og at console before you hold a azeron on pc for defense so you can know every pathway to stamina conservation untill your ready to feint mixups and learn new things that way eventually one day one move at a time it will all become second nature azeron hit from direction input dash to get your speed equivolated to your mixups once you dont need it then take input from direction off console will naturally make you flourish mixup in battle without aching your finger but so will the azeron dont forget to flourish spin spin spin spin its not wise to be predictable only gain XP. Go VANGUARD
I rlly wanna get better at this game sure I’ve noticed some improvement since first getting it a week ago and playing some Footman and knight. In my opinion tho vanguard armor looks the coolest and I might as well play some vanguard and unlock those classes. Tips are appreciated lol ik about counters, ripostes,dodging,ducking I just need to get better positiong.
The vanguard I believe is the most powerful do to it's dash 2 weapons and weapons less effective to the class since it has less armor you can heal after the warhammer
Also master the messer and wreck with the Dane axe so you can kill multiple multiple people when picking up weapons anything familiar to the axes you'll have experience with them and longsword isn't effective in one x situations plus if you feel like your in a chess match just grab there agro with the knight until it's time to shed the armor and smack them all with your stamina plus grabbing your second weapon throwing it at archers and rushing with your shield man at arms
Ambusher is great fun because with practice you can often make up for your otherwise kinda poor melee options with well aimed knives. Once you get the hang of it you can even sometimes slip throws in instead of melee attacks while duelling, which can often catch someone off guard when they are going for a parry. (Not to mention throwing knives + backstabbing makes you incredibly good for catching enemies fighting other people. Is it honourable? Fuck no but its funny as hell when you catch someone in the back with a knife right before they land the killing blow on an ally)
You have to be sprinting and when you see two upside down v's you can press Q ( on PC / Whatever special heavy is on console ) and you will do a leaping strike
